³ And now, dweller of Jerusalem, and man of Judah, judge, pray, between Me and My vineyard,

⁴ He shall call to the heavens above And to the earth, to adjudicate His people." ⁵ Gather my benign ones to Me, Contractors of a covenant with Me by sacrifice." ⁶ Then the heavens shall tell of His righteousness, For He, Elohim, is the Judge. {Interlude{ "

⁴ Against You, against You alone have I sinned And done what is evil in Your eyes, So that You may be justified when You speak, And be cleared when You judge."

⁴ Hear a word of Yahweh, O house of Jacob, And all you families of the house of Israel." ⁵ Thus said Yahweh:What--have your fathers found in Me perversity, That they have gone far off from Me, And go after the vanity, and become vain,

² Hear, you mountains, the contention of Yahweh, and you perennial foundations of the earth. For a contention has Yahweh with His people, and with Israel will He plead." ³ My people! what do I to you? And with what do I tire you? Answer against Me!

⁴⁰ Whenever, then, the lord of the vineyard may be coming, what will he be doing to those farmers? ⁴¹ They are saying to Him, "Evil men! Evilly will he be destroying them, and the vineyard will he be leasing to other farmers, who will be rendering the fruits to him in their seasons."

⁹ What, then, will the lord of the vineyard be doing? He will be coming and destroying the farmers and will be giving the vineyard to others." ¹⁰ Did you not yet read this scripture? - 'The stone which is rejected by the builders, This came to be for the head of the corner." ¹¹ From the Lord came this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.'" ¹² And they sought to hold Him, and they were afraid of the throng, for they know that He spoke the parable to them. And, leaving Him, they came away."

¹⁵ And, casting him outside of the vineyard, they kill him. What, then, will the lord of the vineyard be doing to them? ¹⁶ He will be coming and destroying these farmers and will be giving the vineyard to others.Now those hearing say, "May it not be coming to that!"

⁵ Yet, in accord with your hardness and unrepentant heart you are hoarding for yourself indignation in the day of indignation and revelation of the just judgment of God,

⁴ May it not be coming to that! Now let God be true, yet every man a liar, even as it is written: "That so Thou shouldst be justified in Thy sayings, And shalt be conquering when Thou art being judged."
