⁶ Then I have given up this house as Shiloh, and this city I give up for a reviling to all nations of the earth.'"

¹ And all the company of the sons of Israel are assembled [at] Shiloh, and they cause the tent of meeting to tabernacle there, and the land has been subdued before them.

¹⁰ And the Philistines fight, and Israel is smitten, and they flee each to his tents, and the blow is very great, and there fall of Israel thirty thousand footmen;" ¹¹ and the ark of Elohim has been taken, and the two sons of Eli have died, Hophni and Phinehas. ¹² And a man of Benjamin runs out of the ranks, and comes into Shiloh, on that day, and his long robes [are] rent, and earth on his head;"

¹⁹ And his daughter-in-law, wife of Phinehas, [is] pregnant, about to bear, and she hears the report of the taking of the ark of Elohim, that her father-in-law and her husband have died, and she bows, and bears, for her pains have turned upon her. ²⁰ And at the time of her death, when the women who are standing by her say, `Fear not, for a son you have borne,' she has not answered, nor set her heart [to it];" <sup>21</sup> and she calls the youth I-Chabod, saying, `Honor has removed from Israel,' because of the taking of the ark of Elohim, and because of her father-in-law and her husband. ²² And she said, `Honor has removed from Israel, for the ark of Elohim has been taken..

¹⁹ because your heart [is] tender, and you are humbled because of Yahweh, in your hearing that which I have spoken against this place, and against its inhabitants, to be for a desolation, and for a reviling, and do rend your garments, and weep before Me--I also have heard--the affirmation of Yahweh-.

⁶⁰ Then He abandoned the tabernacle of Shiloh, The tent He had made to tabernacle among humanity." ⁶¹ He sent His strength into captivity, And His beauty into the hand of the foe." ⁶² He closed His people over to the sword, And He was enraged with His allotment." ⁶³ Fire devoured their choice young men, And their virgins had no nuptial song." ⁶⁴ Their priests fell by the sword, Yet their widows could not lament."

²⁸ And I will violate the chiefs of My holy place. And I will give Jacob to doom, and Israel to taunts."

¹⁵ And you leave your name for an oath to My chosen.And you are put to death by my Lord Yahweh; yet He shall call His servants by another name."

¹² But go you, I pray you, Unto My place that [is] in Shiloh, Where I caused My name to dwell at first, And see that which I have done to it, For the wickedness of My people Israel." ¹³ And now, because of your doing all these works, An affirmation of Yahweh, And I speak unto you, rising early and speaking, And you have not hearkened, And I call you, and you have not answered, ¹⁴ I also to the house on which My name is called, In which you are trusting, And to the place that I gave to you, and to your fathers, Have done, as I have done to Shiloh."

⁹ And I have given them for a trembling, For evil--to all kingdoms of the earth, For a reproach, and for a simile, For a byword, and for a reviling, In all the places whither I drive them."

¹⁸ Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, And its kings, its heads, To give them to waste, to astonishment, To hissing, and to reviling, as [at] this day."

²² And taken from them has been a reviling by all the removed of Judah that [are] in Babylon, saying, Yahweh does set you as Zedekiah, and as Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted with fire;"

¹⁸ for thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:As poured out has been Mine anger and My fury on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so poured out is My fury upon you in your entering Egypt, and you have been for an execration, and for an astonishment, and for a reviling, and for a reproach, and you do not see any more this place."

⁸ by provoking Me to anger by the works of your hands, by making perfume to other elohims in the land of Egypt, whither you are going in to sojourn, so as to cut yourselves off, and so as to your being for a reviling and for a reproach among all nations of the earth? ⁹ `Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, that they have done in the land of Judah, and in streets of Jerusalem? <sup>10</sup> They have not been humbled unto this day, nor have they been afraid, nor have they walked in My law, and in My statutes, that I have set before you and before your fathers." <sup>11</sup> `Therefore, thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:Lo, I am setting my face against you for evil, even to cut off all Judah, ¹² and I have taken the remnant of Judah, who have set their faces to enter the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they have all been consumed in the land of Egypt; they fall by sword, by famine they are consumed, from the least even unto the greatest, by sword and by famine they die, and they have been for an execration, for an astonishment, and for a reviling, and for a reproach."

²² And Yahweh is not able any more to accept [you], because of the evil of your doings, because of the abominations that you have done, and your land is for a waste, and for an astonishment, and for a reviling, without inhabitant, as [at] this day."

¹¹ All Israel--they trespass against Thy law to withdraw so as not to hearken to Thy voice. Hence pouring forth on us is the imprecation and the oath which is written in the law of Moses, the servant of Elohim; for we sin against Him."

⁶ And he shall restore the heart of the fathers to the sons and the heart of the sons to their fathers, lest I shall come and smite the earth to its doom."
