²³ It shall come to be, in order to fill his belly, That He shall send against him the heat of His anger And shall rain it upon him as his nourishment.

²⁴ And Yahweh rains on Sodom and on Gomorrah sulphur and fire from Yahweh, from the heavens.

²³ So Moses stretched out his rod to the heavens, and Yahweh, He gave thundering sounds and hail, and fire ran earthward. Thus Yahweh rained hail over the land of Egypt.

³³ The flesh was still between their teeth, ere it was cut off, when the anger of Yahweh grew hot against the people; and Yahweh smote among the people with a very great smiting.

⁶ Let Him rain coals of fire and sulfur on the wicked, And let a simoon wind be the assigned portion of their cup.

³⁰ Yet they were not alienated from their yearning; Their food was still in their mouth, ³¹ When the anger of Elohim ascended against them; He killed the stoutest of them, And the choice ones of Israel He cut off."

⁴ My heart has strayed; shuddering frightens me. The soul to which I am attached brings me into trembling.

² If you will not hear, and if you will not take it to heart to give glory to My name, says Yahweh of hosts, then I will send among you the curse. And I will curse your blessings. And, moreover, I have cursed them, and I will annul them, for you are not taking it to heart, and it shall not come among you."

¹⁷ And he reasoned in himself, saying, 'What shall I be doing, seeing that I have no where to gather my fruits?'" ¹⁸ And he said, 'This will I be doing: I will pull down my barns, and greater ones will I build, and I will gather there all my grain and my good things." ¹⁹ And I will be declaring to my soul, "Soul, many good things have you laid up for many years. Rest, eat, drink, make merry."'" ²⁰ Yet God said to him, 'Imprudent one! In this night your soul are they demanding from you. Now, what you make ready, whose will it be?'"
