Job 24:1 Cross References - CLV

¹ For what reason have times for judgment not been set aside by Him Who Suffices, And why do those knowing Him not perceive His days?

⁴ For, seven days further, I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe every risen thing which I have made off the surface of the entire ground.

¹⁷ And Yahweh says, "Shall I cover from Abraham, My servant, what I am doing,

²⁰ And saying is Yahweh, "Seeing that the outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah is much, and that their sin is exceedingly heavy, ²¹ descend will I, pray, and see, do they according to all the cry which is coming to Me? And if not, I will know.

¹⁰ So those knowing Your Name shall trust in You, For You do not forsake those seeking after You, O Yahweh.

¹⁵ In Your hand are my seasons; Rescue me from the hand of my enemies And from those pursuing me.

¹⁰ Protract Your benignity to those knowing You, And Your righteousness to the upright of heart."

¹⁶ When I am attempting to realize this, It is toil in my eyes, ¹⁷ Until I am coming to the Grand Sanctuary of El; Then I am understanding what is in their hereafter. ¹⁸ Surely You shall set them down in slippery places; You will cast them into ruinations. ¹⁹ How they will become a desolation, as in a moment! They will be swept up; they will be finished by decadence!"

¹⁷ I said in my heart:As for the righteous and the wicked, the One, Elohim, shall judge both of them. For He has set a season for every event and for every deed."

⁶ For there is time and judgment for every event, Since the evil for a man is great upon him." ⁷ For no one knows what shall come, For just as it shall be, who can tell him?

¹¹ Again I saw under the sun That the race is not to the fleet, Nor the battle to valiant masters, Nor even bread for the wise, Nor even riches for the understanding, Nor even favor for the knowing, For season and mischance shall happen to them all." ¹² For, moreover, a man does not know his season; Like fish that are held in a vicious weir, And like birds that are held in a snare, So the sons of humanity themselves are trapped by a season of evil, When it falls on them suddenly."

¹² For a day for Yahweh of hosts is on everyone proud and high, and on everyone lifted up, and abased is he."

²² The small one shall become a thousand, and the inferior a staunch nation. I, Yahweh, in its era, will hurry it."

¹ Righteous [are] You, O Yahweh, When I plead towards you, Only, judgments do I speak with You, Wherefore did the way of the wicked prosper? At rest have been all treacherous dealers." ² You have planted them, yea, they have taken root, They go on, yea, they have made fruit, Near [are] You in their mouth, And far off from their reins." ³ And You, O Yahweh, You have known me, You see me, and have tried my heart with You, Draw them away as sheep to slaughter, And separate them for a day of slaughter."

¹⁰ And that day [is] to the Lord Yahweh of Hosts A day of vengeance, To be avenged of His adversaries, And the sword has devoured, and been satisfied, And it has been watered from their blood, For a sacrifice [is] to the Lord Yahweh of Hosts, In the land of the north, by the river Phrat."

²¹ He is altering the eras and the stated times, causing kings to pass away and causing kings to rise, granting wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those knowing understanding."

³⁸ For as they were in those days before the deluge, masticating and drinking and marrying and taking in marriage until the day on which Noah entered into the ark,

²² for days of vengeance are these, to fulfill all that is written." ²³ Yet woe to those who are pregnant, and to those suckling in those days; for there will be great necessity in the land and indignation on this people." ²⁴ And they shall be falling by the edge of the sword and shall be led into captivity into all nations. And Jerusalem shall be trodden by the nations, until the eras of the nations may be fulfilled."

³ Now it is eonian life that they may know Thee, the only true God, and Him Whom Thou dost commission, Jesus Christ."

⁷ Yet He said to them, "Not yours is it to know times or eras which the Father placed in His own jurisdiction."

²⁶ Besides, He makes out of one every nation of mankind, to be dwelling on all the surface of the earth, specifying the setting of the seasons and the bounds of their dwelling, for them to be seeking God, if, consequently,

⁵ Yet, in accord with your hardness and unrepentant heart you are hoarding for yourself indignation in the day of indignation and revelation of the just judgment of God,

¹ Now concerning the times and the eras, brethren, you have no need to be written to,

¹ Now the spirit is saying explicitly, that in subsequent eras some will be withdrawing from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and the teachings of demons,

¹⁵ which, to its own eras, the happy and only Potentate will be showing: He is King of kings and Lord of lords,

³ and in greed, with suave words, they will traffic in you, whose judgment of old is not idling, and their destruction is not nodding."

⁷ Yet the heavens now, and the earth, by the same word, are stored with fire, being kept for the day of the judging and destruction of irreverent men." ⁸ Now of this one thing you are not to be oblivious, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day."
