¹ Indeed, for silver there is a mine, And for gold a place where men may cupel it. ² Iron may be taken from the soil, And from stone ore copper may be smelted. ³ Man puts an end to darkness, And to every limit is he fathoming For the stone ore in gloom and blackest shadow. ⁴ A people of sojourners has breached mine-shafts In places forgotten by the foot of man; Far from mortal men, they swing down on ropes and sway. ⁵ The earth, from her is coming forth bread, Yet beneath her, all is overturned as though by fire, ⁶ A place where her stones are sapphire, And it has the soil of gold;" ⁷ That track, the bird of prey does not know it, And the eye of the falcon has never glanced at it;" ⁸ The strutting beasts have never tread along it; The black lion has never passed over it. ⁹ Man has put forth his hand on the flint rock; He has overturned the root of the mountains. ¹⁰ He has rent open mine-tunnels through the rock, And his eye has seen every precious treasure. ¹¹ He has bound up streams from their seeping, And the obscured secret he brings forth to light. ¹² But wisdom, where can it be found? And just where is the place of understanding? ¹³ Mortal man does not know its appraisal, And it is not being found in the land of the living. ¹⁴ The abyss says, It is not in me! And the sea says, There is no such thing with me!" ¹⁵ Solid gold cannot be given instead of it, And silver cannot be weighed as its price. ¹⁶ It cannot be classed with certified gold of Ophir, Or with precious onyx and sapphire. ¹⁷ Neither gold or glass can be its appraisal, Or articles of glittering gold its exchange. ¹⁸ Coral and crystal, such is not even mentioned; Wisdom is more attractive than rubies. ¹⁹ Peridot of Ethiopia is not its appraisal; With pure certified gold it cannot be classed. ²⁰ From where then can wisdom come? And just where is the place of understanding? ²¹ It has been obscured from the eyes of every living thing, And from the flier of the heavens it has been concealed. ²² Abaddon and death say:With our ears we have heard report of it. ²³ Elohim, He understands its way, And He, yea He Himself knows its place. ²⁴ For He looks to the ends of the earth; He sees everything under the heavens. ²⁵ When He granted weight to the wind And when He regulated the waters by measure, ²⁶ When He imposed a statutory limit on the rain And a pathway for the perceptible portents of thunderclaps, ²⁷ Then He saw it and rehearsed it; He prepared it and also fathomed it. ²⁸ And He said to mankind, Behold, the fear of Yahweh, it is wisdom, And to withdraw from evil is understanding.

¹¹ The name of the one is Pison. It is that surrounding the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold, ¹² and the gold of that land is exceedingly good. There is the pearl and the onyx stone.

¹⁵ No lord! Hear me. The land is four hundred shekels of silver. What is that between me and you? Your dead entomb.

²² And coming is it, as the camels finish drinking, taking is the man a pendant of gold, its weight a bekah, and is placing it on her nose, and two bracelets on her hands of ten gold shekels' weight.

⁴⁸ And Solomon makes all the vessels that [are] in the house of Yahweh:the altar of gold, and the table--on which [is] the bread of the Presence--of gold, ⁴⁹ and the candlesticks, five on the right, and five on the left, before the oracle, of refined gold, and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold, ⁵⁰ and the basins, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and the censers, of refined gold, and the hinges for the doors of the inner-house, for the holy of holies, for the doors of the house of the temple, of gold.

²¹ And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon [are] of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon [are] of refined gold--there are none of silver; it was not reckoned in the days of Solomon for anything,

² and with all my power I have prepared for the house of my Elohim, the gold for [things of] gold, and the silver for [those of] silver, and the brass for [those of] brass, the iron for [those of] iron, and the wood for [those of] wood, shoham stones, and settings, and stones of painting and of diverse colors, and all [kinds of] precious stone, and stones of white marble, in abundance. ³ `And again, because of my delighting in the house of my Elohim, the substance I have--a peculiar treasure of gold and silver--I have given for the house of my Elohim, even over and above all I have prepared for the house of the sanctuary. ⁴ three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses, ⁵ even gold for [things of] gold, and silver for [those of] silver, and for all the work by the hand of artificers; and who [is] he that is offering willingly to consecrate his hand to-day to Yahweh?.

⁶ The words of Yahweh are clean words, Silver refined in a kiln, Fine gold cupelled seven times.

³ The smelter for silver and the crucible for gold, Yet Yahweh is testing hearts."

²¹ The smelter for silver and the crucible for gold, Yet a man is tested corresponding to his praise."

¹⁰ Behold! I refined you, yet not as silver; I tested you in the crucible of humiliation."

⁹ And I will bring the third into the fire. And I will refine them as silver is refined. And I will test them as gold is tested. It shall call in My name, and I will answer it. I will say, My people is it. And it will say, Yahweh is my Elohim."

² Yet who will endure the day of His coming? And who will stand when He appears? For He is coming like a refiner's fire, and as launderers' soap." ³ And he shall sit as a refiner and cleanser of silver and gold. And he shall cleanse the sons of Levi, and cupel them as gold and as silver. And they shall come to be for Yahweh, bringing close the approach present in righteousness."

⁷ that the testing of your faith, much more precious than gold which is perishing, yet, being tested by fire, may be found for applause and glory and honor at the unveiling of Jesus Christ,

²² And Zillah, moreover, she bears Tubalcain, a forger of every tool of copper and iron. And the sister of Tubalcain is Naamah.

²² Yea, the gold and the silver, the copper, the iron, the tin and the lead,

⁹ a land in which you may eat bread, not in frugality. You shall not lack anything in it, a land whose stones have iron-ore, and from its mountain ranges you may hew copper.

¹⁴ `And lo, in mine affliction, I have prepared for the house of Yahweh of gold talents a hundred thousand, and of silver a thousand thousand talents; and of brass and of iron there is no weighing, for in abundance it has been, and wood and stones I have prepared, and to them you do add.

²¹ Ere I go away and not return, To a country of darkness and the blackest shadow, ²² A country of such faintness as deepest gloom, Of blackest shadow without order, And which shines like deepest gloom.

²² Exposing the deep things out of darkness, He also brings forth the blackest shadow to light.

¹⁶ Have you ever come unto the seepings of the sea Or walked about to fathom the abyss? ¹⁷ Have the gates of death been revealed to you, And have you seen the gates of the shadow of death?

⁴ If you seek it as for silver And search for it as for buried treasures,

¹³ I applied my heart to inquiring and exploring by wisdom concerning all that is done under the heavens:it is an experience of evil Elohim has given to the sons of humanity to humble them by it.

¹³ Behold, is it not from Yahweh of hosts that the peoples have labored sufficient for the fire, and the folkstems have fainted sufficient for naught?

³³ Yet seek first the kingdom and its righteousness, and these all shall be added to you."

⁸ And the lord applauds the unjust administrator, for he does prudently, for the sons of this eon are more prudent, above the sons of light in their own generation."

¹¹ And saying is the Elohim, "Verdant shall become the land with verdure; with herbage seeding seed for its from-kind and for its likeness. and with the fruit tree whose seed is in it yielding fruit for its from-kind on the land." And coming is it to be so. ¹² And forth is the land bringing verdure; herbage seeding seed for its from-kind, and for its likeness, and the fruit tree whose seed is in it, yielding fruit for its from-kind, on the land. And seeing is the Elohim that it is good.

²⁹ And saying is the Elohim, "Behold, I give to you all herbage seeding seed, which is on the surface of the entire earth, and every tree which has in it the fruit of a tree seeding seed. For you it is coming to be for food.

¹⁴ You are the One making grass sprout for the beasts And herbage for the service of humanity, To bring forth bread from the earth" ¹⁵ And wine that makes the heart of a mortal rejoice, To make the face lustrous with oil, And bread that braces the heart of mortal man."

²⁵ Should he not equalize its surface, and scatter sesame, and cumin be sprinkling, and place the chief crop of wheat and barley, with millet and spelt at its boundary? ²⁶ And He disciplines him by judgment. His Elohim is directing him. ²⁷ For not with spikes is the sesame threshed, nor is the wheel of a car on the cumin rolled around, for with a rod the sesame is beaten out, and the cumin with a club." ²⁸ Will bread grain be pulverized? For the thresher is not permanently threshing it, nor clamors the roller of his car, and with his horsemen he is not pulverizing it." ²⁹ Moreover, this fares forth from Yahweh of hosts, marvelous counsel He gives. And He magnifies reality."

¹³ In Eden, the garden of Elohim, you have been, Every precious stone your covering, Ruby, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, emerald, and carbuncle, and gold, The workmanship of your tabrets, and of your pipes, In you in the day of your being produced, have been prepared." ¹⁴ You [are] an anointed cherub who is covering, And I have set you in the holy mount, Elohim you have been, In the midst of stones of fire you have walked up and down."

¹⁰ And they saw the Elohim of Israel and beneath His feet as it were a work of sapphire tiling, as the very heavens for purity.

¹⁶ It cannot be classed with certified gold of Ophir, Or with precious onyx and sapphire.

¹⁴ His hands are like ring-bands of gold, filled with topaz; His belly is like reflecting ivory, bedecked with sapphires."

¹¹ Humbled! Tempest-tossed! Not comforted! Behold! I will cause your stones to be embedded in pigment. And your foundation I lay with sapphires."

¹⁹ The foundations of the wall of the city are adorned with every precious stone, the first foundation with jasper, the second lapis lazuli, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,

⁶ Then He would tell you obscured secrets of wisdom, For reality has double sides; Hence know this:that Eloah is granting you oblivion of some of your depravity.

²¹ It has been obscured from the eyes of every living thing, And from the flier of the heavens it has been concealed. ²² Abaddon and death say:With our ears we have heard report of it. ²³ Elohim, He understands its way, And He, yea He Himself knows its place.

¹⁹ Where is this, the pathway where light tabernacles, And where is this, where darkness has its place,

²⁴ Where is this, the pathway where light is apportioned, Where the east wind is scattered over the earth?

³³ O, the depth of the riches and the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How inscrutable are His judgments, and untraceable His ways!"

⁴ He is rebuking the sea, and is drying it, and all the streams He drains. Enfeebled is Bashan and Carmel, and the bud of Lebanon is enfeebled." ⁵ The mountains quake because of Him, and the hills dissolve. The earth is upheaving because of His presence, and the habitance and all dwelling in it." ⁶ Before His menace, who will stand? And who will rise in the heat of His anger? His fury is poured forth as fire, and the rocks are broken down because of Him."

²³ In all grievous labor there is advantage, Yet mere speech of the lips leads only to want."

⁴ By knowledge its chambers are filled With all precious and pleasant wealth.

⁹ Your bow was verily naked; sworn are the rods by Your saying. INTERLUDE You are rending the earth with streams;

⁸ He bundled up the waters in thick clouds, And the cloud did not rend apart beneath them.

²⁵ I scoop and drink waters that are alien, and I will drain with the sole of my footfalls all the waterways of the besieged.'"

²⁷ Saying to the sinkhole, `Be drained.' And `Your streams I will dry.'"

² I, I will go before you, and mountains will I level. Doors of copper will I break, and bars of iron will I hack down." ³ And I give to you treasures of darkness. And those buried in concealment will I open for you, that you may know that I, Yahweh Elohim, calling you by your name, am the Elohim of Israel."

⁵ So that, be not judging anything before the season, till the Lord should be coming, Who will also illuminate the hidden things of darkness and manifest the counsels of the hearts. And then applause will be coming to each one from God."

⁹ and You have given to Your servant an understanding heart, to judge Your people, to discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this Your great people?.

²⁰ From where then can wisdom come? And just where is the place of understanding?

²⁸ And He said to mankind, Behold, the fear of Yahweh, it is wisdom, And to withdraw from evil is understanding.

⁶ Behold, You delight in truth even in the hidden parts, And in the secret parts You cause me to know wisdom."

⁴ If you seek it as for silver And search for it as for buried treasures, ⁵ Then you shall understand the fear of Yahweh, And you shall find the knowledge of God." ⁶ For Yahweh Himself gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and comprehension;

¹⁹ Yahweh, by wisdom, founded the earth; He established the heavens by comprehension."

²³ All this I probed by wisdom; I said, I shall be wise, Yet it was far from me;" ²⁴ Far away is that which has been, and deep, deep--Who can find it out? ²⁵ I turned about that my heart may know and explore, That it may seek out wisdom and design And may know the wickedness of stupidity and the frivolity in raving."

¹⁹ For it is written, I shall be destroying the wisdom of the wise, and the understanding of the intelligent shall I be repudiating." ²⁰ Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the discusser of this eon? Does not God make stupid the wisdom of this world?

³ in Whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are concealed.

⁵ Now if anyone of you is lacking wisdom, let him be requesting it from God, Who is giving to all generously and is not reproaching, and it shall be given to him."

¹⁷ All good giving and every perfect gratuity is from above, descending from the Father of lights, in Whom there is no mutation or shadow from revolving motion."

⁷² Better to me is the law of Your mouth Than thousands of gold and silver.

¹⁴ For her merchandise is better than merchandise of silver, And her income than fine gold." ¹⁵ She is more precious than rubies, So that all your desires are not equal to her."

¹¹ For wisdom is better than rubies, And all delights are not equal to her."

¹⁸ Riches and glory are with me, Boundless wealth and righteousness." ¹⁹ My fruit is better than fine gold, even more than glittering gold, And my yield is more than choice silver."

¹⁶ To acquire wisdom, how much better than fine gold, And to acquire understanding, more to be chosen than silver!"

²³ Buy the truth, and do not sell it, Wisdom and discipline and understanding."

¹⁶ When I applied my heart to know wisdom, And to see the experience that is appointed on earth (For both by day and night, there is no seeing of sleep for Him with His eyes), ¹⁷ Then I saw in all the work of the One, Elohim, That a man is not able to find out the work that is done under the sun, Forasmuch as a man may toil in seeking it out but shall not find it; And even if a wise man says he knows, he is not able to find it out."

¹¹ Said I:I shall not see the salvation of Yah. Yah is in the land of the living. And I shall not look for the salvation of Israel on the earth, I shall not look on humanity further. When I am with the dwellers of transience I leave off looking."

⁸ From restraint and from judgment is He taken, and on His generation, who shall meditate? For He was severed from the land of the living; because of the transgression of My people was He touched by death."

⁴⁴ Like is the kingdom of the heavens to a treasure hidden in the field, finding which, a man hides it, and, in his joy, is going away, and is selling all, whatever he has, and is buying that field." ⁴⁵ Again, like is the kingdom of the heavens to a man, a merchant, seeking ideal pearls." ⁴⁶ Now, finding one very precious pearl, he comes away, having disposed of all whatever he had, and buys it."

³³ O, the depth of the riches and the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How inscrutable are His judgments, and untraceable His ways!" ³⁴ For, who knew the mind of the Lord? or, who became His adviser?

¹⁸ Coral and crystal, such is not even mentioned; Wisdom is more attractive than rubies.

¹³ Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains hold of comprehension,

¹⁰ Take in my admonition, and do not prefer silver, And take knowledge rather than choice, fine gold." ¹¹ For wisdom is better than rubies, And all delights are not equal to her."

¹⁷ I love those who love me, And those who seek me early find me."

¹⁹ My fruit is better than fine gold, even more than glittering gold, And my yield is more than choice silver."

²⁰ and the fourth row of topaz, onyx and jasper. Mounted in gold filigree, shall they be in their fillings.

⁴ three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses,

⁹ Daughters of kings are among Your precious ones; The consort is stationed at Your right hand with certified gold of Ophir.

¹² More precious am I making the remaining mortal than glittering gold. And a human than certified African gold.

¹³ In Eden, the garden of Elohim, you have been, Every precious stone your covering, Ruby, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, emerald, and carbuncle, and gold, The workmanship of your tabrets, and of your pipes, In you in the day of your being produced, have been prepared."

²² And a likeness [is] over the heads of the living creatures of an expanse, as the color of the fearful ice, stretched out over their heads from above."

⁶ And before the throne it is as a glassy sea, like crystal. And in the center of the throne and around the throne are four animals replete with eyes in front and behind."

¹¹ having the glory from God. Her luminosity is like a stone most precious, as a crystalline jasper gem,

¹ And he shows me a river of water of life, resplendent as crystal, issuing out of the throne of God and the Lambkin."

¹⁵ She is more precious than rubies, So that all your desires are not equal to her."

¹⁰ A wife of ability, who can find? Far more than rubies is her worth."

⁷ Her Nazirites were purged more than snow; they were more shimmering than milk; In bodily staunchness they were more ruddy than rubies, their long-beard like sapphire."

¹⁶ Aram [is] your merchant, Because of the abundance of your works, For emerald, purple, and embroidery, And fine linen, and coral, and agate, They have given out your remnants."

⁶ You may not be giving that which is holy to curs, nor yet should you be casting your pearls in front of hogs, lest at some time they shall be trampling them with their feet and, turning, they should be tearing you."

⁹ Similarly, women also are to be adorning themselves in raiment, decorously, with modesty and sanity, not with braids and gold, or pearls or costly vesture,

⁴ And the woman was clothed with purple and scarlet, and gilded with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand, brimming with abominations and the uncleannesses of the prostitution of her and the earth."

¹² a cargo of gold, and of silver, and of precious stones, and of pearls; and of cambric, and of purple, and of silk, and of scarlet; including also every kind of citron wood; and every ivory utensil, and every utensil of most valuable wood and of copper and of iron and of marble;"

²¹ And the twelve portals are twelve pearls. Each one of the portals was respectively of one pearl. And the square of the city is gold, clear as translucent glass."

¹⁷ You will fill it with a filling of stone, four rows of stones: a row of carnelian, peridot and emerald, one row,

²⁰ the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh topaz, the eighth beryl, the ninth peridot, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh amethyst, the twelfth garnet."

¹² But wisdom, where can it be found? And just where is the place of understanding?

²³ Elohim, He understands its way, And He, yea He Himself knows its place.

⁶ For Yahweh Himself gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and comprehension;

²³ All this I probed by wisdom; I said, I shall be wise, Yet it was far from me;" ²⁴ Far away is that which has been, and deep, deep--Who can find it out?

⁶ Yet wisdom are we speaking among the mature, yet a wisdom not of this eon, neither of the chief men of this eon, who are being discarded, ⁷ but we are speaking God's wisdom in a secret, wisdom which has been concealed, which God designates before - before the eons, for our glory, ⁸ which not one of the chief men of this eon knows, for if they know, they would not crucify the Lord of glory." ⁹ But, according as it is written, That which the eye did not perceive, and the ear did not hear, and to which the heart of man did not ascend - whatever God makes ready for those who are loving Him." ¹⁰ Yet to us God reveals them through His spirit, for the spirit is searching all, even the depths of God." ¹¹ For is any of humanity acquainted with that which is human except the spirit of humanity which is in it? Thus also, that which is of God no one knows, except the spirit of God." ¹² Now we obtained, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God, that we may be perceiving that which is being graciously given to us by God, ¹³ which we are speaking also, not with words taught by human wisdom, but with those taught by the spirit, matching spiritual blessings with spiritual words." ¹⁴ Now the soulish man is not receiving those things which are of the spirit of God, for they are stupidity to him, and he is not able to know them, seeing that they are spiritually examined." ¹⁵ Now he who is spiritual is, indeed, examining all, yet he is being examined by no one."

³ My mouth, it shall speak wisdom, And the soliloquy of my heart, understanding." ⁴ I shall stretch out my ear to a proverb; I shall open out my enigma with a harp.

²⁵ At that season, answering, Jesus said, "I am acclaiming Thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for Thou hidest these things from the wise and intelligent and Thou dost reveal them to minors."

¹⁷ For verily I am saying to you that many prophets and just men yearn to perceive what you are observing, and perceive not, and to hear what you are hearing, and hear not."

³⁵ so that fulfilled may be that which is declared through the prophet saying, I shall be opening My mouth in parables, I shall be emitting what is hid from the disruption."

⁷ but we are speaking God's wisdom in a secret, wisdom which has been concealed, which God designates before - before the eons, for our glory, ⁸ which not one of the chief men of this eon knows, for if they know, they would not crucify the Lord of glory." ⁹ But, according as it is written, That which the eye did not perceive, and the ear did not hear, and to which the heart of man did not ascend - whatever God makes ready for those who are loving Him." ¹⁰ Yet to us God reveals them through His spirit, for the spirit is searching all, even the depths of God."

⁶ The unseen was naked in front of Him, And there was no covering for Abaddon.

¹⁴ The abyss says, It is not in me! And the sea says, There is no such thing with me!"

¹⁰ They were exterminated at Endor; They became manure for the ground. ¹¹ As for their patrons, set them down like Oreb and like Zeeb, And all their sovereigns like Zebah and like Zalmunna, ¹² Who said, Let us tenant for ourselves The oases of Elohim."

⁷ The law of Yahweh is flawless, restoring the soul; The testimony of Yahweh is faithful, making wise the simple;"

⁵ Great is our Lord and vast in vigor; As to His understanding, there is no enumeration of it."

¹⁴ Counsel and sagacity are mine; I have understanding; mastery is mine.

²² Yahweh Himself acquired me as the beginning of His way; Preceeding His deeds of yore. ²³ From the eon was I inaugurated, From the beginning, preceeding the earth;" ²⁴ When there were no abysses I was travailed, When there were no springs teeming with water." ²⁵ Ere the mountains were sunk in place, Before the hills, I was travailed, ²⁶ When He had not yet made the earth and its open places, Or the beginnings of soil for the habitance." ²⁷ When He established the heavens I was there, When He delineated the horizon on the face of the abyss, ²⁸ When He made the sky clouds firm above, When He set the springs of the abyss with strength, ²⁹ When He established for the sea its statutory limit, So that the waters may not pass beyond His bidding, When He delineated the foundations of the earth." ³⁰ Then I was beside Him as His foster child, And I was filled with bliss day by day, Gamboling before Him all the time, ³¹ Gamboling in the habitance of His earth, And my bliss was in the sons of humanity."

²⁷ All was given up to Me by My Father. And no one is recognizing the Son except the Father; neither is anyone recognizing the Father except the Son and he to whom the Son should be intending to unveil Him."

²¹ In this hour He exults in the holy spirit and said, "I am acclaiming Thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for Thou dost conceal these things from the wise and intelligent and Thou dost reveal them to minors. Yea, Father, seeing that thus it became a delight in front of Thee." ²² And being turned to the disciples, He said, "All was given up to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and whomsoever the Son may be intending to unveil Him."

¹⁸ Known from the eon to the Lord is His work.

³⁰ Yet you, of Him, are in Christ Jesus, Who became to us wisdom from God, besides righteousness and holiness and deliverance,

²⁵ to the only God, our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, might and authority before the entire eon, now, as well as for all the eons. Amen!"

⁹ for Yahweh--His eyes go to and fro in all the earth, to show Himself strong [for] a people whose heart [is] perfect towards Him; you have been foolish concerning this, because--henceforth there are with you wars..

¹³ From the heavens Yahweh looks down; He sees all the sons of humanity. ¹⁴ From His established dwelling He peers Upon all those dwelling on the earth,

³ The eyes of Yahweh are in every place, Keeping watch on the evil and the good ones."

¹⁰ For who despises the day of small things? And they shall rejoice and see the stone plumb in the hand of Zerubbabel. These seven are the eyes of Yahweh; they are going to and fro in the entire land.

⁶ And I perceived, in the center of the throne and of the four animals, and in the center of the elders, a Lambkin standing, as though slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes which are the seven spirits of God, commissioned for the entire earth."

¹⁵ Behold, He restrains the waters, and they dry up, Or He sends them forth, and they overrun the earth.

⁷ He Who is causing vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth, He has made sluices for the rain, Who is bringing forth the wind from His treasure vaults."

¹² Who measures the waters in the hollow of His hand, and regulates the heavens with a span? And Who contains, in a peck measure, the soil of all the earth, and weighs, with a balance, the mountains, and the hills with scales?

²⁶ Behold, El is so great we cannot know it, And the number of His years cannot be investigated.

³² He covers His palms with lightning And instructs it with sure aim.

³ Under the entire heavens He unleashes it, And His lightning over the wings of the earth.

¹¹ Indeed, He encumbers the thick cloud with soaking moisture; He scatters His lightning cloud,

²⁵ Who has divided off a trench for overflowing rains And set a pathway for the perceptible portents of thunderclaps,

²⁷ To satisfy areas of ruination and wasteness, And to cause verdure to sprout from the arid place?

³ The voice of Yahweh is over the waters; The El of glory, He thunders; Yahweh is over the abundant waters." ⁴ The voice of Yahweh sounds with vigor; The voice of Yahweh is filled with honor. ⁵ The voice of Yahweh is breaking cedars, And Yahweh is breaking the cedars of Lebanon;" ⁶ He is causing them to dance like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild bull." ⁷ The voice of Yahweh is hewing with blazes of fire. ⁸ The voice of Yahweh, it is causing the wilderness to travail; Yahweh is causing the wilderness of Kadesh to travail." ⁹ The voice of Yahweh makes the hinds travail in birth, And He is stripping the wildwood bare. In His Temple everyone is saying, Glory." ¹⁰ Yahweh sat enthroned above the deluge, And Yahweh shall sit enthroned as King for the eon."

⁸ Fire and hail, snow and fume, Tempestuous wind, performing His word,

²² Are there among the vanities of the nations any causing rain? And do the heavens give showers? Are not You He, O Yahweh our Elohim? And we wait for you, for You--You have done all these!"

⁷ And, moreover, I withhold from you the downpour, while still three months to harvest, and I cause rain on one city, and on another city I am not causing rain; one portion was rained upon, and the portion upon which I am not causing rain is drying up."

¹ Ask from Yahweh rain in season, the former and the latter rain; Yahweh is making perceptible portents, and a downpour of rain will He give for them, to each man herbage in the field."

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ The heavens are recounting the glory of El, And the atmosphere is telling the work of His hands."

²² Yahweh Himself acquired me as the beginning of His way; Preceeding His deeds of yore. ²³ From the eon was I inaugurated, From the beginning, preceeding the earth;" ²⁴ When there were no abysses I was travailed, When there were no springs teeming with water." ²⁵ Ere the mountains were sunk in place, Before the hills, I was travailed, ²⁶ When He had not yet made the earth and its open places, Or the beginnings of soil for the habitance." ²⁷ When He established the heavens I was there, When He delineated the horizon on the face of the abyss, ²⁸ When He made the sky clouds firm above, When He set the springs of the abyss with strength, ²⁹ When He established for the sea its statutory limit, So that the waters may not pass beyond His bidding, When He delineated the foundations of the earth."

⁶ And you must observe and obey them, for that is your wisdom and your understanding in the eyes of all the peoples who shall hear of all these statutes and will say:Surely this great nation is a people wise and understanding.

²⁹ The things being concealed are Yahweh our Elohim's, yet the things being revealed are ours and our sons' until the eon, so that we might keep all the words of this law.

¹⁴ Withdraw from evil, and do good; Seek peace, and pursue it."

¹⁰ The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom; All who practice it have a good insight. His praise is standing into the future.

⁷ The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge; The foolish despise wisdom and discipline.

⁷ Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear Yahweh and withdraw from evil.

⁴ To you, O men, I am calling And raising my voice to the sons of humanity;" ⁵ To the simple:Understand prudence; And to the stupid:Understand heart wisdom.

²⁶ When He had not yet made the earth and its open places, Or the beginnings of soil for the habitance." ²⁷ When He established the heavens I was there, When He delineated the horizon on the face of the abyss, ²⁸ When He made the sky clouds firm above, When He set the springs of the abyss with strength, ²⁹ When He established for the sea its statutory limit, So that the waters may not pass beyond His bidding, When He delineated the foundations of the earth." ³⁰ Then I was beside Him as His foster child, And I was filled with bliss day by day, Gamboling before Him all the time, ³¹ Gamboling in the habitance of His earth, And my bliss was in the sons of humanity." ³² Now then, my sons, hearken to me; Happy are those who keep my ways."

¹⁰ The starting point of wisdom is the fear of Yahweh, And the knowledge of the grand Holy One is understanding."

¹⁴ The law of the wise man is a fountain of life, To keep one away from the traps of death."

¹⁷ The highway of the upright goes away from evil; He guards his soul who preserves his way.

¹³ The terminus of the whole matter has been heard:Fear the One, Elohim, and keep His instructions, For this is the whole duty of humanity."

¹⁶ Wash yourselves! Purge yourselves! Take away the evil of your actions from in front of My eyes!

¹⁹ Howbeit, the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: The Lord knew those who are His, and, Let everyone who is naming the name of the Lord withdraw from injustice. "

¹³ Who is wise and an adept among you? Let him show his works by an ideal behavior in meekness of wisdom. ¹⁴ Now if you are having bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, are you not vaunting against and falsifying the truth? ¹⁵ This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but terrestrial, soulish, demoniacal. " ¹⁶ For wherever jealousy and faction are, there is turbulence also, and every bad practice." ¹⁷ Now the wisdom from above is first, indeed, pure, thereupon peaceable, lenient, compliant, bulging with mercy and good fruits, undiscriminating, unfeigned."

¹¹ Now let him avoid evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it,
