²⁵ I would choose the way for them and would sit as their head, And I would tabernacle like a king among his regiment, Just as one who comforts mourners.

¹⁴ And hearing is Abram that Lot, his brother, is captured. And numbering is he those dedicated to him, born in his household, three hundred and eighteen, and is pursuing them as far as Dan. ¹⁵ And, being apportioned, falling is his force on them by night, he and his servants. And smiting them is he, and pursuing them as far as Hobah, which is to the left of Damascus. ¹⁶ And restoring is he all the goods of Sodom, and, moreover, he restored Lot, his brother, and his goods, and moreover, the women and the people. ¹⁷ And forth is faring the king of Sodom to meet him, after his return from smiting Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, at the vale Shaveh (It is now the vale of the king).

⁴⁰ You shall be over my household, and at your bidding all my people shall bear weapons. But on the throne will I be greater than you.

⁵ So He became king in Yeshurun when the heads of the people gathered themselves together with the tribes of Israel.

⁸ and the elders of Gilead say unto Jephthah, `Therefore, now, we have turned back unto you; and you have gone with us, and fought against the Bene-Ammon, and you have been to us for head--to all the inhabitants of Gilead..

² also heretofore, in Saul's being king over us, you have been he who is bringing out and bringing in Israel, and Yahweh said to you, You do feed My people Israel, and you are for leader over Israel..

¹ And David consults with the heads of the thousands, and of the hundreds, every leader, ² and David said to all the assembly of Israel, `If unto you it be good, and from Yahweh our Elohim it has broken forth--we send unto our brethren, those left in all the lands of Israel, and with them the priests and the Levites, in the cities of their suburbs, and they are gathered unto us, ³ and we bring round the ark of our Elohim unto us, for we sought Him not in the days of Saul.. ⁴ And all the assembly say to do so, for the thing is right in the eyes of all the people.

³ and his acquisitions came to be a flock of seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred pair of oxen and five hundred jennies, besides very many servants. And this man came to be the greatest of all the sons of the East.

³ Behold, you have disciplined many, And you always fortified the slacking hands. ⁴ Your declarations raised the one stumbling, And you made the bowing knees resolute.

³⁷ I would tell him the tale of my steps; Like a nobleman I would approach him.)

³ Make steadfast the hands that are slack, and the faltering knees make resolute." ⁴ Say to the hasty of heart:"Be steadfast! You must not fear! Behold! Your Elohim with vengeance shall come, and with the requital of Elohim shall He come and save you."

¹ The spirit of My Lord Yahweh is on Me, because Yahweh anoints Me to bear tidings to the humble. He sends Me to bind up the broken hearted, to herald to captives, liberty, and, to the blind, the unclosing of the eyes, and, to the bound, to take the jubilee, ² to herald an acceptable year for Yahweh, and a day of vengeance for our Elohim. To comfort all mourners, ³ to give rejoicing to the mourners of Zion, to give to them beauty instead of ashes, the oil of elation instead of mourning, the muffler of praise instead of dimness of spirit. And they are called arbiters of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, to beautify Himself."

³ Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of pities and God of all consolation, ⁴ Who is consoling us in our every affliction to enable us to be consoling those in every affliction, through the consolation with which we ourselves are being consoled by God,

⁵ I am superexceeding in joy in all our affliction. For even at our coming into Macedonia, our flesh has no ease, but we are afflicted in everything: outside fightings; inside fears." ⁶ But God, Who is consoling the humble, consoles us by the presence of Titus, ⁷ yet not only by his presence, but by the consolation also with which he was consoled over you, informing us of your longing, your anguish, your zeal for my sake; so that I rather rejoice that,

² and we send Timothy, our brother and God's servant in the evangel of Christ, to establish and to console you for the sake of your faith." ³ No one is to be swayed by these afflictions, for you yourselves are aware that we are located for this."
