¹ Then Job answered Yahweh and said: ² I know that You can do all things, And no plan of Yours can be thwarted. ³ Who is this who obscures counsel without knowledge? Wherefore I have professed ideas when I was not understanding, Things too marvelous for me, that I did not know. ⁴ Hearken now, and I myself shall speak; I shall ask of you, and you inform Me. ⁵ With the hearing of the ear I had heard of You, But now my eye sees You. ⁶ Therefore I sink down and repent On soil and ashes. ⁷ It came to pass after Yahweh had spoken these words to Job that Yahweh said to Eliphaz the Temanite:My anger is hot against you and your two associates because you did not speak concerning Me what is rightly so as My servant Job has done. ⁸ Now take for yourselves seven bullocks and seven rams. Go to my servant Job, and offer up an ascent offering on behalf of yourselves. And Job, my servant, he shall pray for you. For then I shall lift up his face by not inflicting on you any disgrace. For you did not speak concerning Me what is rightly so as My servant Job has done. ⁹ So they went, Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite, and they did just as Yahweh had spoken to them. And Yahweh lifted up Job's face. ¹⁰ Then Yahweh Himself turned back the captivity of Job when he prayed on behalf of his associates. And Yahweh added to all that Job had by a double portion. ¹¹ All his brothers and all his sisters came to him and all his acquaintances from before, and they ate bread with him in his house. Then they condoled with him and comforted him over all the evil that Yahweh had brought upon him. Each of them gave to him one kesitah, and each, one pendant of gold. ¹² Thus Yahweh Himself blessed the latter years of Job more than his beginning. He came to have a flock of fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand pair of oxen and a thousand jennies. ¹³ Also he came to have seven sons and three daughters. ¹⁴ He called the name of the first Jemimah, the name of the second Keziah, and the name of the third Keren-happuch. ¹⁵ Women so lovely as the daughters of Job were not found in the whole country. Their father gave them an allotment in the midst of their brothers. ¹⁶ Job lived after this a hundred and forty years. And he saw his sons and his sons sons to four generations. ¹⁷ Then Job died, old and satisfied with days.

¹⁴ Is it a matter too marvelous for Yahweh Elohim? At the appointed time will I return to you according to the season of life, and Sarah has a son.

¹³ Yet He is One, and who can turn Him back? What His soul has yearned for He shall do.

²¹ Would not Elohim Himself investigate this? For He is knowing the obscured secrets of the heart.

² You Yourself know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought from afar;

²¹ Many are the designs in a man's heart, Yet the counsel of Yahweh, it shall stand firm."

¹⁴ I know that all the One, Elohim, is doing, It shall be for the eon; Onto it there can be nothing to add, And from it there can be nothing to subtract; The One, Elohim, He does it that they may fear before Him."

²⁷ For Yahweh of hosts has counseled, and who will annul it? And His hand is outstretched, and who will reverse it?

¹³ Moreover, from the eon I am He, and there is no rescuing from My hand. I will contrive, and who will reverse it?

¹⁰ Telling from the beginning, the hereafter, and from aforetime, what has not yet been done. Saying, `All My counsel shall be confirmed, and all My desire will I do.'"

¹⁰ I Yahweh do search the heart, try the reins, Even to give to each according to his way, According to the fruit of his doings."

¹⁷ `Ah, Lord Yahweh, lo, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power, and by Your stretched-out arm; there is nothing too wonderful for You:"

¹⁰ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:And it has come to pass in that day, Come up do things on your heart, And you have thought an evil thought,

³⁵ All abiding on the earth are reckoned as naught:According to His will is He doing in the army of the heavens and with those abiding on the earth. And no one will actually clap with his hands and say to Him, "What doest Thou?

²⁶ Now, looking at them, Jesus said to them, "With men this is impossible, yet with God all is possible."

²⁷ Now, looking at them, Jesus is saying, "With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all is possible with God."

³⁶ And He said, "Abba, Father, all is possible to Thee. Have this cup carried aside from Me. But not what I will, but what Thou!"

²⁷ Yet He said, "What is impossible with men is possible with God."

²⁴ Yet Jesus Himself did not entrust Himself to them, because of His knowing all men, ²⁵ for He had no need that anyone should be testifying concerning mankind, for He knew what was in mankind."

¹⁷ He is saying to him the third time, "Simon of John, are you fond of Me?Peter was sorry that He said to him the third time "Are you fond of Me?and he is saying to Him, "Lord, Thou art aware of all things! Thou knowest that I am fond of Thee.And Jesus is saying to him, "Graze My little sheep!"

¹¹ in Him in Whom our lot was cast also, being designated beforehand according to the purpose of the One Who is operating all in accord with the counsel of His will,

¹² For the word of God is living and operative, and keen above any two-edged sword, and penetrating up to the parting of soul and spirit, both of the articulations and marrow, and is a judge of the sentiments and thoughts of the heart." ¹³ And there is not a creature which is not apparent in its sight. Now all is naked and bare to the eyes of Him to Whom we are accountable.

² Who is this who darkens counsel By declarations without knowledge?

⁵ Many are Your marvelous works which You have done, O Yahweh my Elohim, And Your designs for us. There is no one arranging them for You! Should I tell and should I speak of them, They are more plentiful than could be numbered."

¹ {A Song of Ascents, Davidic{ O Yahweh, my heart is not haughty; Nor are my eyes set high, And I do not walk in ways too great Or too difficult for me."

⁶ Such knowledge is marvelous beyond me; It is impregnable; I cannot reach to it.

² Indeed I am brutish, less than a man, And human understanding is not in me." ³ I have not learned wisdom That I may know of the knowledge of the grand Holy One. ⁴ Who has ascended the heavens and descended? Who has gathered the wind in both His hands? Who has tied up the waters in a garment? Who has confirmed all the limits of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son's name, in case you know?

²⁷ And answering is Abraham and saying, "Behold, pray! Disposed am I to speak to Yahweh, and I am but soil and ashes.

³⁰ And saying is he, "My Lord must not, pray, be hot when I speak. Perhaps will be found there thirty.And saying is He, "Not do it will I if I shall find there thirty. ³¹ And saying is he, "Behold, pray! Disposed am I to speak to my Lord. Perhaps will be found there twenty.And saying is He, "Not ruin it will I, for the sake of the twenty. ³² And saying is he, "My Lord must not, pray, be hot, when I shall speak, yea, once more. Perhaps will be found there ten.And saying is He, "Not ruin it will I, for the sake of the ten.

³ Belt up your loins now like a master; I shall ask of you, and you inform Me.

⁶ He said:Oh hear My words. If there were a prophet among you, I, Yahweh, in an appearance shall make Myself known to him; in a dream shall I speak to him. ⁷ Not so with My servant Moses. In My whole house he is faithful. ⁸ Mouth to mouth am I speaking with him, and manifestly, not in enigmas, so that he looks at a representation of Yahweh. So for what reason did you not fear to speak against My servant, against Moses?

¹² Now a word was brought stealthily to me, And my ear took hold of a little buzz of it.

⁸ Behold, I go to the east, and He is not there, And back again, and I cannot detect Him. ⁹ When He is working to the left, I do not perceive Him; He goes back to the right, yet I do not see Him.

¹⁴ Behold, these are but the fringes of His ways, And what a small buzz of a word is heard of Him! Yet the thunder of His masterful deeds, who shall understand it?

²² Abaddon and death say:With our ears we have heard report of it.

¹⁶ Then He reveals matters to the ear of men, And He dismays them with admonitions,

¹ In the year of the death of king Uzziah, I am seeing Yahweh, sitting on a throne. High and lifted up is He, and His skirts are filling the temple."

⁵ And saying am I, "Alack to me! For stilled am I, for a man of unclean lips am I, and amidst a people of unclean lips am I dwelling, for the King, Yahweh of hosts, my eyes have seen!"

¹⁸ God no one has ever seen. The only-begotten God, Who is in the bosom of the Father, He unfolds Him."

⁴¹ These things Isaiah said, seeing that he perceived His glory, and speaks concerning Him."

⁴⁵ And he who is beholding Me is beholding Him Who sends Me.

⁵⁵ Now possessing the fullness of faith and holy spirit, looking intently into heaven, he perceived the glory of God, and Jesus, standing at the right hand of God, ⁵⁶ and said, "Lo! I am beholding the heavens opened up, and the Son of Mankind standing at the right hand of God."

¹⁷ Consequently, faith is out of tidings, yet the tidings through a declaration of Christ."

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may be giving you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the realization of Him, ¹⁸ the eyes of your heart having been enlightened, for you to perceive what is the expectation of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of the enjoyment of His allotment among the saints,

²⁷ And it comes to pass, at Ahab's hearing these words, that he rends his garments, and puts sackcloth on his flesh, and fasts, and lies in sackcloth, and goes gently.

⁶ and said:My Elohim, I am ashamed and confounded to raise up my face to You, my Elohim, for our depravities, they are abundant, above our heads, and our guilt is towering unto the heavens.

¹ When Mordecai got knowledge of everything that had been done, Mordecai tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and ashes. Then he went forth into the midst of the city and cried out with a loud and bitter outcry, ² until he came before the king's gateway (for no one was to come into the king's gateway in clothing of sackcloth). ³ Also, in every place of the different provinces to which the king's order and his edict were attaining, there was great mourning among the Jews, with fasting and lamentation and wailing. Sackcloth and ashes became a berth for many.

⁸ So he took for himself a potsherd to scrape himself with it as he was sitting in the midst of ashes.

³¹ Then You would dip me in the slough, And my own raiments would abhor me.

¹⁹ He has shot me down into the clay, So that I am made comparable to soil and ashes.

³ Then Job answered Yahweh and said, ⁴ Behold, I am slight; how can I reply to You? I place my hand upon my mouth.

¹⁷ The sacrifices to Elohim are a broken spirit; A broken and crushed heart, O Elohim, You shall not despise."

⁵ And now, pray, I shall make known to you what I will do to My vineyard:I will take away its hedge, and it comes to be consumed. I breach its stone dike, and it comes to be tramped."

⁵ As this is becoming a fast, am I choosing it? A day for a human to humble his soul, to bend, as a rush, his head, and in sackcloth and ashes be berthing? Is this what you are calling a fast and a day acceptable to Yahweh?

¹⁹ For after my turning back I repented, And after my being instructed I struck on the thigh, I have been ashamed, I have also blushed, For I have borne the reproach of my youth."

⁶³ So that you do remember, And you have been ashamed, And there is not to you any more an opening of the mouth because of your shame, In My receiving atonement for you, For all that you have done, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh!'"

⁴³ And you have remembered there your ways, And all your doings, In which you have been defiled, And you have been loathsome in your own faces, For all your evils that you have done."

³¹ And you have remembered your ways that [are] evil, And your doings that [are] not good, And have been loathsome in your own faces, For your iniquities, and for your abominations."

³ I am setting my face to my Lord the Elohim, to seek prayer and supplications in fasting and sackcloth and ashes."

⁶ And the word is touching the king of Nineveh. And he is rising from his throne and is transferring his fur robe from him, and he is covering himself with sackcloth and is sitting on ashes." ⁷ And he is calling a convocation, and he is saying in Nineveh, By the decree of the king and his great ones, saying:Human and beast, herd and flock must not be tasting aught. They must not be grazing, and water they must not be drinking." ⁸ The human and the beast shall cover themselves with sackcloths. And they shall call with steadfastness to Elohim. And they shall turn back, each man, from his evil way and from the wrong which is in their palms." ⁹ Who is knowing if He will reverse, and the Elohim will regret and turn back from His hot anger, and we shall not perish? ¹⁰ And the Elohim is seeing their doings, that they turn back from their evil way. And the Elohim is regretting over the evil which He spoke to do to them, and He does it not."

²¹ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the powerful deeds which are occurring in you occurred in Tyre and Sidon, long ago they would repent, sitting in sackcloth and ashes."

¹⁸ Rising, I will go to my father and declare to him, "Father, I sinned against heaven and in your sight." ¹⁹ No longer am I worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired men."'"

⁸ Yet, last of all, even as if a premature birth, He was seen by me also." ⁹ For I am the least of the apostles, who am not competent to be called an apostle, because I persecute the ecclesia of God."

¹³ I, who formerly was a calumniator and a persecutor and an outrager: but I was shown mercy, seeing that I do it being ignorant, in unbelief." ¹⁴ Yet the grace of our Lord overwhelms, with faith and love in Christ Jesus." ¹⁵ Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all welcome, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, foremost of whom am I." ¹⁶ But therefore was I shown mercy, that in me, the foremost, Jesus Christ should be displaying all His patience, for a pattern of those who are about to be believing on Him for life eonian."

⁷ You may be subject, then, to God, yet withstand the Adversary, and he will be fleeing from you." ⁸ Draw near to God, and He will be drawing near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, double-souled!" ⁹ Be wretched and mourn and lament. Let your laughter be converted into mourning, and joy into dejection." ¹⁰ Be humbled, then, in the Lord's sight, and He shall be exalting you."

¹¹ Now three associates of Job heard about all this evil coming on him, and they set out, each one from his place, Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite. They appointed a time together to come and condole with him and comfort him.

¹ Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said:

¹ Then Zophar the Naamathite answered and said:

⁵ But howbeit--O that Eloah would speak, That He should open His lips before you!" ⁶ Then He would tell you obscured secrets of wisdom, For reality has double sides; Hence know this:that Eloah is granting you oblivion of some of your depravity.

² Yet the anger of Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite, from the family of Ram, grew hot. His anger burned hot against Job because he justified his own soul rather than Elohim. ³ And his anger burned hot against his three associates because they had not found an answer, and so they condemned Elohim.

⁵ When Elihu saw that there was no further answer in the mouths of the three men, his anger grew even hotter.

⁴ Against You, against You alone have I sinned And done what is evil in Your eyes, So that You may be justified when You speak, And be cleared when You judge."

¹⁷ And praying is Abraham to the Elohim and healing is the Elohim Abimelech and his wife and his maidservants, and they are bearing,

¹² Then Jethro, the father-in-law of Moses, took an ascent offering along with sacrifices for Elohim, and Aaron and all the elders of Israel came to eat bread with the father-in-law of Moses, before the One, Elohim.

¹ Balaam said to Balak:Build for me in this place seven altars and prepare for me in this place seven young bulls and seven rams.

¹⁴ So he took him to the field of the Watchmen, to the summit of the Pisgah ridge. He built seven altars and offered up a young bull and a ram on each altar.

²⁹ Then Balaam said to Balak:Build for me in this place seven altars, and prepare for me in this place seven young bulls and seven rams.

³⁵ And David receives from her hand that which she has brought to him, and to her he has said, `Go up in peace to your house; see, I have hearkened to your voice, and accept your face..

²⁶ and it comes to pass, in Elohim's helping the Levites bearing the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, that they sacrifice seven bullocks and seven rams.

²¹ and they bring in seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven young he-goats, for a sin-offering for the kingdom, and for the sanctuary, and for Judah; and he said to sons of Aaron, the priests, to cause [them] to ascend on the altar of Yahweh.

⁵ And it came to be when the feast days were concluded, that Job would send and have them hallowed. He would rise early in the morning and offer up ascent offerings in number as them all. For Job said, Perhaps my sons have sinned and have scorned Elohim in their heart. Thus Job was doing for all these days.

³⁰ He shall give escape to the innocent man, And you shall escape by the purity of your palms.

⁹ So they went, Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite, and they did just as Yahweh had spoken to them. And Yahweh lifted up Job's face.

¹⁰ He has neither done to us according to our sins, Nor has He requited us according to our depravities."

¹⁴ And go to you to prostrate shall all the sons of your humiliators, and worship at the soles of your feet shall all your spurners. And they call you the city of Yahweh, Zion of the Holy One of Israel."

¹¹ And Yahweh said unto me:You do not pray for this people for good,

¹ And Yahweh said unto me:Though Moses and Samuel should stand before Me, My soul is not toward this people, Send from before My face, and they go out."

¹⁴ and these three men have been in its midst, Noah, Daniel, and Job--they by their righteousness deliver their own soul--an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh."

²³ And the seven days of the feast he prepares a burnt-offering to Yahweh, seven bullocks, and seven rams, perfect ones, daily seven days, and a sin-offering, a kid of the goats, daily."

⁸ And in case you are bringing close the blind for sacrifice, is there no evil? And in case you are bringing close the lame and the ill, is there no evil? Offer it, I pray, to your viceroy! Will he accept you or lift your face? says Yahweh of hosts." ⁹ And now, beseech, I pray, the face of your El, that He may be gracious to us. From your hand has this come; would He lift our faces because of you? says Yahweh of hosts."

¹⁷ And lo! a voice out of the heavens, saying, "This is My Son, the Beloved, in Whom I delight."

²³ If, then, you should be offering your approach present on the altar, and there you should be reminded that your brother has anything against you, ²⁴ leave your approach present there, in front of the altar, and go away. First be placated toward your brother, and then, coming, be offering your approach present.

⁶ for the laud of the glory of His grace, which graces us in the Beloved:"

¹⁴ Alexander the coppersmith displayed to me much evil: the Lord will be paying him in accord with his acts -

²⁵ Whence, also, He is able to save to the uttermost those coming to God through Him, always being alive to be pleading for their sake."

⁴ for it is impossible for the blood of bulls and of he-goats to be eliminating sins.

¹⁰ By which will we are hallowed through the approach present of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time. ¹¹ And every chief priest, indeed, stands ministering day by day, and offering often the same sacrifices, which never can take sins from about us." ¹² Yet This One, when offering one sacrifice for sins, is seated to a finality at the right hand of God, ¹³ waiting furthermore till His enemies may be placed as a footstool for His feet. ¹⁴ For by one approach present He has perfected to a finality those who are hallowed.

¹⁴ Is anyone infirm among you? Let him call to him the elders of the ecclesia, and let them pray over him, rubbing him with olive oil in the name of the Lord."

¹⁶ Then confess sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The operative petition of the just is availing much."

⁶ This is He Who is coming through water and blood and spirit - Jesus Christ - not in the water only, but in the water and in the blood. And the spirit it is which is testifying, for the spirit is the truth,

¹⁶ If anyone should be perceiving his brother sinning a sin not to death, he shall be requesting, and He will be giving him life for those sinning not to death. There is a sin to death: I am not saying that he should be asking concerning that."

⁹ Lo! I have granted to those of the synagogue of Satan, (who are saying that they themselves are Jews, and are not, but are lying) - Lo! I shall be making them that they will be arriving and worshiping, before your feet, and they may know that I love you."

²⁷ You shall entreat Him, and He shall hear you, And you shall pay your vows.

³¹ Indeed has one said to El, I have been lured away; I shall not harm any more;" ³² Until I can perceive, direct me Yourself; If I have contrived iniquity, I shall not do so again?

⁸ Now take for yourselves seven bullocks and seven rams. Go to my servant Job, and offer up an ascent offering on behalf of yourselves. And Job, my servant, he shall pray for you. For then I shall lift up his face by not inflicting on you any disgrace. For you did not speak concerning Me what is rightly so as My servant Job has done.

¹¹ The discipline of Yahweh, my son, do not reject, And do not be irritated by His reproof, ¹² For whom Yahweh loves He corrects, And He gives pain to the son He holds dear."

⁷ Go, eat your bread with rejoicing, and drink your wine with good heart, For already the One, Elohim, has approved of your works."

²⁴ Everyone, then, who is hearing these sayings of Mine and is doing them shall be likened to a prudent man who builds his house on the rock."

⁵ His mother is saying to the servants, "Anything which He should be saying to you, do."

⁶ Nevertheless, rise and enter the city, and it will be spoken to you what you must be doing."

³³ Forthwith, then I send to you. Besides you do ideally in coming along. Now, then, we are all present in God's sight to hear all that you have been bidden by the Lord."

⁸ By faith Abraham, being called, obeys, coming out into the place which he was about to obtain to enjoy as an allotment, and came out, not versed in where he is coming."

⁴ So Moses cried to Yahweh, saying: What shall I do for this people? A little further and they will stone me. ⁵ Yahweh said to Moses: Pass before the people, and take with you some of the elders of Israel; and your rod with which you smote the waterway take in your hand and go.

² They said:Is it but only through Moses that Yahweh speaks? Does He not also speak through us? And Yahweh heard.

¹³ Then Moses cried to Yahweh, saying:El, I pray heal her, I pray!"

¹ The whole congregation lifted up and gave forth their voice, and the people lamented through that night. ² All the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and against Aaron. The whole congregation said to them:O that we had died in the land of Egypt or in this wilderness! O that we had died! ³ Why is Yahweh bringing us to this land to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones shall be taken as plunder. Is it not better for us to return to Egypt? ⁴ And they said each to his brother:Let us appoint a head, and let us return to Egypt.

¹⁰ Yet the whole congregation said to pelt them with stones. Then the glory of Yahweh appeared in a cloud on the tent of appointment to all the sons of Israel.

¹³ Yet Moses said to Yahweh:The Egyptians have heard that You brought up this people by Your vigor, from among them;" ¹⁴ and they have spoken to the dwellers of this land; they have heard that You, Yahweh, are among this people, that You are being seen eye to eye, Yahweh, and Your cloud is standing over them, and in a column of cloud You are going before them by day and in a column of fire by night. ¹⁵ If You put this people to death as one man, then the nations who heard the report of You will say, saying. ¹⁶ Because Yahweh was unable to bring this people to the land about which He had sworn to them, He slew them in the wilderness. ¹⁷ So now let, I pray, the vigor of Yahweh be great just as You have spoken, saying. ¹⁸ Yahweh, slow to anger and with much kindness and truth, bearing with depravity and transgression and sin, yet He is not immediately making innocent in order to make innocent, but is visiting the depravity of the fathers on the sons, on the third and on the fourth generation. ¹⁹ Pardon, I pray, the depravity of this people according to the greatness of Your kindness just as You bore with this people from Egypt and hitherto. ²⁰ Yahweh said:I have pardoned them according to your word.

²¹ Separate yourselves from the midst of this congregation so that I may finish them in a moment. ²² Then they fell on their faces and said:El, Elohim of the spirits for all flesh, as for the one man, he is sinning; but shall You be wrathful over the whole congregation?

⁴⁶ Moses said to Aaron:Take the fire-pan and put fire from the altar on it and place incense on it and go quickly to the congregation and make a propitiatory shelter over them, for wrath goes forth from before Yahweh! The stroke has started!" ⁴⁷ So Aaron took it, just as Moses had spoken, and ran into the midst of the assembly. And behold, the stroke had started among the people. He put the incense on and make a propitiatory shelter over the people. ⁴⁸ He stood between the dead and the living, and the stroke was restrained.

¹⁸ Yet you will remember Yahweh your Elohim, for He is the One giving to you the vigor to make this estate, that He may confirm His covenant that He had sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob, as in this day.

²⁰ Against Aaron Yahweh showed Himself exceedingly angered, enough to exterminate him. So I prayed also about Aaron at that time.

³ Then Yahweh your Elohim will turn back your captivity and show compassion to you; He will return and convene you from all the peoples where Yahweh your Elohim will have scattered you.

⁷ Yahweh dispossesses, and He makes rich, He makes low, yea, He makes high.

⁹ And Amaziah said to the man of Elohim, `And what--to do for the hundred talents that I have given to the troop of Israel?' And the man of Elohim said, `Yahweh has more to give to you than this..

³ and his acquisitions came to be a flock of seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred pair of oxen and five hundred jennies, besides very many servants. And this man came to be the greatest of all the sons of the East.

¹⁸ For He Himself causes pain, and He shall bind up; He stabs, and His hands, they shall heal. ¹⁹ In six distresses He shall rescue you, And in seven, evil shall not touch you. ²⁰ In famine, He will ransom you from death, And in battle from the hands of the sword.

⁶ If you are purged and upright, Even now He would rouse Himself over you, And He would bring peace to your righteous homestead. ⁷ So your beginning will seem inferior, Yet your latter state shall grow very great.

²⁴ And set aside your gold ore upon the soil, And wealth of Ophir among the rocks of the watercourses, ²⁵ Then He Who Suffices will become your gold ore And refined silver for you.

⁷ O that the salvation of Israel would come from Zion, When Yahweh will reverse the captivity of His people! Let Jacob exult! Let Israel rejoice!"

¹ {For the Sons of Korah, A Psalm{ You have held Your land dear, O Yahweh; You have reversed the captivity of Jacob." ² You have borne the depravity of Your people; You have covered all their sin. {Interlude{ ³ You have gathered aside all Your rage; You have turned back from the heat of Your anger.

¹ {A Song of Ascents{ When Yahweh reversed the captivity of Zion, We became like those who are dreaming."

⁴ Do reverse again, O Yahweh, our captivity Like channels in the Negev." ⁵ Those who sow with tears, With jubilant song shall they reap." ⁶ Going out, he goes with weeping, Bearing the drawbag of seed; Coming in, he comes with jubilant song, Bearing his grain-sheaves."

⁴ The consequence of humility is fear of Yahweh, Riches and glory and life."

² Speak you to the heart of Jerusalem, and call to her, for fulfilled is her enlistment, for run out is her depravity, for she takes from the hand of Yahweh a shelter from all her sins."

⁷ Instead of your shame, a second portion is yours, and for confounding they shall jubilate in their portion. Wherefore, in their land a second portion shall they tenant. And rejoicing eonian shall come to be on their heads."

⁸ Mine is the silver, and Mine is the gold, (averring is Yahweh of hosts)."

²⁷ Yet he said, 'I am asking you then, father, that you should be sending him into my father's house,

⁵⁰ Is it not My hand that does all these things?'

⁶⁰ Now, kneeling, he cries with a loud voice, "Lord, Thou shouldst not stand against them this sin!And saying this, he was put to repose."

²² And coming is it, as the camels finish drinking, taking is the man a pendant of gold, its weight a bekah, and is placing it on her nose, and two bracelets on her hands of ten gold shekels' weight.

⁵³ And forth is the servant bringing articles of silver and articles of gold and clothes, and is giving them to Rebecca. And token presents he gives to her brother and her mother.

³⁵ And rising are all his sons and all his daughters and they come to console him, yet refusing is he to be consoled and is saying that, "Descend will I to my son, to the unseen, mourning.And lamenting over him is his father.

³² And the bones of Joseph, which the sons of Israel brought up out of Egypt, they buried in Shechem, in the portion of the field which Jacob bought from the sons of Hamor father of Shechem, with a hundred kesitah; and they are to the sons of Joseph for an inheritance.

²⁷ and the sons of worthlessness have said, `What! this one does save us!' and they despise him, and have not brought to him a present; and he is as one deaf.

⁴ Your declarations raised the one stumbling, And you made the bowing knees resolute.

²² Indeed have I said, Grant something to me? Or, Pay a bribe from your fortune in my behalf? ²³ Or, Make my escape from the hand of the foe? Or, You shall ransom me from the hand of terrifiers?

⁵ I could make you resolute with my mouth, And the condolence of my lips would keep back grief.

¹³ He has put my brothers far from me, And my acquaintances have surely estranged themselves from me. ¹⁴ My near kinsmen have shunned me, And my acquaintances have forgotten me.

⁷ When a man's ways please Yahweh He makes even his enemies live at peace with him.

³ Make steadfast the hands that are slack, and the faltering knees make resolute." ⁴ Say to the hasty of heart:"Be steadfast! You must not fear! Behold! Your Elohim with vengeance shall come, and with the requital of Elohim shall He come and save you."

¹⁹ Now many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary that they should be comforting them concerning their brother.

¹⁵ so as to be rejoicing with those rejoicing, lamenting with those lamenting."

²⁶ And whether one member is suffering, all the members are sympathizing, or one member is being esteemed, all the members are rejoicing with it."

¹² Wherefore stiffen the flaccid hands and the paralyzed knees,

³ Be mindful of those bound, as bound together with them; of those maltreated, as being yourselves also in the body."

³⁵ And Yahweh has blessed my lord exceedingly, and he is growing great, and He is giving to him a flock and a herd and silver and gold and servants and maids and camels and asses.

¹² And sowing is Isaac in that land and is finding in that year a hundredfold of barley. And blessing him is Yahweh. ¹³ And great is growing the man. And going is he to go on and grow greater, till he is great exceedingly. ¹⁴ And it is coming at his acquiring flocks and acquiring herds and many to serve, that jealous are the Philistines of him.

¹⁶ Who was feeding you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers had not known, that He might make you humble and that He might probe you, to do you good in your latter days.

⁷ So your beginning will seem inferior, Yet your latter state shall grow very great.

³⁸ Then He shall bless them, and they shall increase exceedingly, And He shall not let their domestic beasts decrease."

¹³ Our garners be filled with harvested crops from one sort to every sort, Our flock become thousands, ten thousands in our open places, ¹⁴ And our domestic animals strong for bearing burdens There will be no breaching of walls, And there will be no going forth in defeat; There will be no fearful yelling in our squares." ¹⁵ Happy is the people for whom it is thus; Happy is the people whose Elohim is Yahweh.

²² The blessing of Yahweh, it enriches, And He shall not add grief to it."

⁸ The end of a matter is better than its beginning; A long-suffering spirit is better than a haughty spirit.

¹⁷ Those who are rich in the current eon be charging not to be haughty, nor yet to rely on the dubiousness of riches, but on God, Who is tendering us all things richly for our enjoyment;"

¹¹ Lo! we are counting those happy who endure. You hear of the endurance of Job, and you perceived the consummation of the Lord, for very compassionate and pitiful is the Lord."

² Seven sons and three daughters were born to him,

⁴¹ Yet for the needy He makes an impregnable retreat from humiliation, And He establishes his families like a flock."

³ Behold, sons are an allotment from Yahweh; The fruit of the belly is a reward."

²⁰ Further, the sons of your bereavements shall say in your ears, `Constricted for me is the place. Come close to me and I will dwell.'"

⁷ Properly the daughters of Zelophehad are speaking. You shall give, yea give to them a holding for an allotment in the midst of the brothers of their father, and you will cause the allotment of their father to pass to them.

¹⁸ And it comes to pass, in her coming in, that she persuades him to ask from her father a field, and she lights from off the ass, and Caleb said to her, `What--to you?. <sup>19</sup> And she said, `Give to me a blessing; when the land of the south you have given me, then you have given to me springs of waters;' and he gives to her the upper springs and the lower springs.

⁴ Give for you three men for a tribe, and I send them, and they rise and go up and down through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance, and come in unto me,

¹² That our sons be like plants grown great in their youth, Our daughters like cornerposts sculptured as in palace style,

²⁰ In which era Moses was born (and was handsome even to God), who was reared three months in the home of his father."

³² And coming are all the days of Terah to be two hundred and five years. And dying is Terah in Charan.

⁷ And these are the days of the years of the life of Abraham, which he lives--a hundred and seventy five years.

²⁸ And coming are the days of Isaac to be a hundred and eighty years.

²⁸ And living is Jacob in the land of Egypt seventeen years. And coming are the days of the years of Jacob's life to be a hundred and forty-seven years.

²³ And seeing is Joseph Ephraim's sons to the third generation. Moreover, the sons of Machir, the son of Manasseh, were born on Joseph's knees.

²⁶ And dying is Joseph, a hundred and ten years old. And embalming him are they, and placed is he in a coffer in Egypt.

⁷ Moses was a hundred and twenty years old at his death. Neither had his eye dimmed nor had his vitality fled.

²⁹ And it comes to pass, after these things, that Joshua son of Nun, servant of Yahweh, dies, a son of a hundred and ten years,

¹⁰ The days of our years, in them are seventy years, And if by mastery there are eighty years, Yet even in their heyday is toil and sorrow, For it is sheared off hurriedly, and we fly away."

⁶ And see the sons of your sons. Peace be on Israel.

⁶ Sons of sons are the crown of the old, And their fathers are the beauty of sons."

¹⁵ Yet you shall come to your forefathers in peace, and be entombed at a good grey-haired age.

⁸ And expiring is Abraham, and dying in a good grey-haired age, old and satisfied with days. And gathered is he to his people.

² that you may fear Yahweh your Elohim, so as to observe all His statutes and His instructions which I am enjoining on you today, you and your son and your son's son, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged.

²⁶ You shall come to the tomb in mature age, Like a shock of grain that ascends in its season.

¹⁶ With length of days shall I satisfy him, And I shall show him My salvation."

¹⁶ Length of days are in her right hand, And in her left hand are riches and glory."
