⁴ The leavings of the larva, the locust eats, and the leavings of the locust, the grub of the beetle eats, and the leavings of the grub, the beetle eats."

⁴ For if you refuse to dismiss My people, behold Me bringing the locusts swarm tomorrow into your boundary,

¹² Yahweh said to Moses: Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt for the locust that it may ascend over the land of Egypt and devour all the herbage of the land and all the fruit of the trees which the hail has let remain. ¹³ So Moses stretched out his rod over the land of Egypt, and Yahweh drove an east wind into the land all that day and all the night. The morning came, and the east wind carried the locust swarm along. ¹⁴ Then the locust swarm ascended over all the land of Egypt, and it rested within the entire boundary of Egypt, exceedingly heavy. Before it there had not come to be a locust swarm so great as it, and after it none shall come to be so. ¹⁵ It covered the eye of all the land, and the land was darkened. And it devoured all the herbage of the land and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left, so that no green at all was left on the trees nor on the herbage of the field in all the land of Egypt.

³⁸ Much seed shall you bring forth to the field, yet little shall you gather, for the locust shall eat it up.

⁴² The cicada shall make all your trees and the fruit of your ground destitute.

³⁷ `Famine--when it is in the land; pestilence--when it is; blasting, mildew, locust; caterpillar--when it is; when its enemy has distressed it in the land [in] its gates, any plague, any sickness, -.

²⁸ `Famine, when it is in the land, pestilence, when it is, blasting, and mildew, locust, and caterpillar, when they are, when its enemies have distressed it in the land--its gates, any plague and any sickness;"

¹³ If I restrain the heavens and there is no rain, and if I lay charge on the locust to consume the land, and if I send pestilence among My people-.

⁴⁶ He gave their crop over to the beetle, And the fruit of their labor to the locust."

³⁴ He spoke, and the locust came, And the young-locust and they were without number."

⁴ And your loot is gathered as the gathering of the beetle, as the prowl of arching caterpillars, prowling in it."

¹⁴ Sworn has Yahweh of Hosts by Himself, That, Surely I have filled you [with] men as the cankerworm, And they have cried against you--shouting."

²⁷ Lift you up an ensign in the land, Blow a trumpet among nations, Sanctify against it nations, Summon against it the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz, Appoint against it an infant head, Cause the horse to ascend as the rough cankerworm."

²⁵ I will repay to you for the years which the locust devoured, the grub and the beetle and the larva, My great army which I sent among you."

⁹ I smite you with blasting and with green mold. The increase of your gardens and your vineyards and your figs and your olives, the larva of the locust is devouring. Yet you do not return unto Me, (averring is Yahweh)."

¹ Thus my Lord Yahweh shows me:And behold! He is forming the arching caterpillars, at the start of the coming up of the aftergrowth. And behold! the aftergrowth is after the mowings of the king."

¹⁵ There the fire shall devour you; the sword shall cut you off. It shall devour you as the grub of the beetle. Make yourself heavy as the grub; make yourself heavy as the locust! ¹⁶ You increase your traders more than the stars of the heavens. The grub strips itself and will fly away. ¹⁷ Your men with insignias are as the locust, and your marshals as the arching caterpillar, the arching caterpillars which are camping in the stone dikes on a cold day. The sun rises, and they flit away, and their place is not known, where they are. Woe to them!"

³ And out of the fumes came out locusts into the earth, and license was granted them as the scorpions of the earth have license." ⁴ And it was declared to them that they should not be injuring the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, except those of mankind who have not the seal of God on their foreheads." ⁵ And it was granted to them, not that they should be killing them, but that they shall be tormented five months; and their torment is as the torment of a scorpion, whenever it should be striking a man." ⁶ And in those days men will be seeking death, and under no circumstances shall they be finding it. And they will be yearning to die, and death is fleeing from them." ⁷ And the likenesses of the locusts are like horses made ready for battle, and on their heads are as it were wreaths like gold, and their faces are as it were human faces,
