Joshua 22:10 Cross References - CLV

¹⁰ and they come in unto the districts of the Jordan, which [are] in the land of Canaan, and the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh, build there an altar by the Jordan--a great altar for appearance.

¹⁸ And early is Jacob rising in the morning, and taking is he the stone which he had placed there for his pillow, and is placing it for a monument, and pouring oil on its top.

⁴⁶ And saying is Jacob to his brethren, "Pick up stones.And they are picking up stones and making a mound. And eating are they and drinking there on the mound. And saying to him is Laban, "This mound is witness between me and you today. ⁴⁷ And calling it is Laban Igr-shedutha. And Jacob calls it Galeed. ⁴⁸ And saying is Laban to Jacob, "Behold! This mound and this monument which I raised, is witness between me and you today. ⁴⁹ Therefore he calls its name Galeed and the Mizpah which says: "Watching is Yahweh between me and you, when we are concealed, each man from his associate. ⁵⁰ Should you humiliate my daughters, and should you take wives over my daughters, then not a man is with us. See! The Elohim is Witness between me and you. ⁵¹ And saying is Laban to Jacob, "Behold this mound! And behold the monument which I aim to be between me and you. ⁵² Witness is this mound, and witness is the monument, that I should not be passing this mound to you, and you should not be passing this mound and this monument to me, for evil!"

⁵ and Joshua said to them, `Pass over before the ark of Yahweh your Elohim unto the midst of the Jordan and lift up for you each, one stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel, ⁶ so that this is a sign in your midst, when your children ask hereafter, saying, What [are] these stones to you? ⁷ that you have said to them, Because the waters of the Jordan were cut off, at the presence of the ark of the covenant of Yahweh; in its passing over into the Jordan were the waters of the Jordan cut off; and these stones have been for a memorial to the sons of Israel--to the eon.. ⁸ And the sons of Israel do so as Joshua commanded, and take up twelve stones out of the midst of the Jordan, as Yahweh has spoken unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel, and remove them over with them unto the lodging-place, and place them there, ⁹ even the twelve stones has Joshua raised up out of the midst of the Jordan, the place of the standing of the feet of the priests bearing the ark of the covenant, and they are there unto this day.

²⁵ for a border has Yahweh put between us and you, O sons of Reuben, and sons of Gad--Jordan; you have no portion in Yahweh--and your sons have caused our sons to cease, not to fear Yahweh. ²⁶ `And we say, Pray let us prepare for ourselves to build the altar--not for burnt-offering nor for sacrifice-. <sup>27</sup> but a witness it [is] between us and you, and between our generations after us, to do the service of Yahweh before Him with our burnt-offerings, and with our sacrifices, and with our peace-offerings, and your sons do not say hereafter to our sons, You have no portion in Yahweh. <sup>28</sup> `And we say, And it has been, when they say [so] unto us, and unto our generations hereafter, that we have said, See the pattern of the altar of Yahweh, which our fathers made--not for burnt-offering nor for sacrifice--but a witness it [is] between us and you.

²⁶ And Joshua writes these words in the Book of the Law of Elohim, and takes a great stone, and raises it up there under the oak which [is] in the sanctuary of Yahweh. ²⁷ And Joshua said unto all the people, `Lo, this stone is against us for a witness, for it has heard all the sayings of Yahweh which He has spoken with us, and it has been against you for a witness, lest you lie against your Elohim..
