¹ Now He told them a parable also, so that they must always be praying and not be despondent, ² saying, "A certain judge was in a certain city, who did not fear God and did not respect man." ³ Now there was a widow in that city, and she came to him, saying, 'Avenge me from my plaintiff.'" ⁴ And for a time he would not. Yet, after this, he said in himself, 'Even if I am not fearing God nor respecting man, ⁵ surely, because of the weariness this widow is affording me, I shall be avenging her, lest she, coming, may belabor me into a consummation.'" ⁶ Now the Lord said, "Hear what the unjust judge is saying." ⁷ Yet should not God by all means be doing the avenging of His chosen ones, who are imploring Him day and night? And He is patient with them." ⁸ I am saying to you that He will be doing the avenging of them swiftly. Moreover, consequently, at the coming of the Son of Mankind, will He be finding the faith on the earth? ⁹ Now He said, also, to some who have confidence in themselves that they are just, and are scorning the rest, this parable:" ¹⁰ Two men went up into the sanctuary to pray, the one a Pharisee, and the other a tribute collector." ¹¹ The Pharisee, standing, prayed this to himself: 'God, I am thanking you that I am not even as the rest of men, rapacious, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tribute collector." ¹² I am fasting twice of a sabbath. I am taking tithes from all whatever I am acquiring.' ¹³ Now the tribute collector, standing afar off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his chest, saying, 'God, make a propitiatory shelter for me, the sinner!' " ¹⁴ I am saying to you, this man descended to his home justified, rather than that one, for everyone who is exalting himself shall be humbled, yet he who is humbling himself shall be exalted." ¹⁵ Now they brought the babes also to Him, that He may be touching them. Now, perceiving it, the disciples rebuked them." ¹⁶ Yet Jesus calls them to Him, saying, "Let the little children be coming be coming to Me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of God." ¹⁷ Verily, I am saying to you, Whoever should not be receiving the kingdom of God as a little child, may under no circumstances be entering into it." ¹⁸ And a certain chief inquires of Him, saying, "Good Teacher, by doing what should I enjoy the allotment of life eonian? ¹⁹ Now Jesus said to him, "Why are you terming Me good? No one is good except One, God." ²⁰ With the precepts you are acquainted: You should not be committing adultery. You should not be murdering. You should not be stealing. You should not be testifying falsely. Be honoring your father and your mother." ²¹ Yet he said, "These all I maintain from my youth." ²² Now hearing this, Jesus said to him, "Still one thing you are lacking. All, whatever you have, sell, and distribute to the poor, and you will be having treasure in the heavens. And hither! Follow Me." ²³ Yet he, hearing all these things, became sorrow-stricken, for he was tremendously rich." ²⁴ Now Jesus, perceiving him becoming sorrow-stricken, said, "How squeamishly shall those having money be entering into the kingdom of God!" ²⁵ For it is easier for a camel to be entering through the eye of a bodkin than for a rich man to be entering into the kingdom of God." ²⁶ Now those hearing it said, "And who can be saved? ²⁷ Yet He said, "What is impossible with men is possible with God." ²⁸ Now Peter said, "Lo! we, leaving our own, follow Thee." ²⁹ Now He said to them, "Verily, I am saying to you that there is no one who leaves house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children on account of the kingdom of God, ³⁰ who may not by all means be getting back manyfold in this era, and in the coming eon, life eonian." ³¹ Now, taking aside the twelve, He said to them, "Lo! we are going up into Jerusalem, and all will be accomplished as to the Son of Mankind that is written through the prophets." ³² For He will be given up to the nations and will be scoffed at and outraged and spat upon, ³³ and, scourging Him, they will be killing Him. And the third day He will be rising." ³⁴ And they understand none of these things, and this declaration was hid from them, and they knew not what was said." ³⁵ Now it occurred at His nearing Jericho, that a certain blind man, a mendicant sat beside the road." ³⁶ Now, hearing a throng going through, he ascertained what this may be." ³⁷ Now they report to him that Jesus, the Nazarene, is passing by." ³⁸ And he implores, saying, "Jesus, Son of David, be merciful to me!" ³⁹ And those preceding rebuked him, that he should be silent. Yet he much the more cried, "Jesus, Son of David, be merciful to me!" ⁴⁰ Now standing still, Jesus orders him to be led to Him. Now at his drawing near, He inquires of him, ⁴¹ What are you wanting I shall be doing to you?Now he said, "Lord, that I should be receiving sight!" ⁴² And Jesus said to him, "Receive sight! Your faith has saved you." ⁴³ And instantly he receives sight and followed Him, glorifying God. And the entire people, perceiving it, give praise to God."

⁹ And saying is Jacob, "Elohim of my forefather Abraham and Elohim of my father Isaac, Yahweh Who said to me, `Return to your land and to your kindred and I will do good to you.. <sup>10</sup> Smaller am I than all the kindnesses and than all the truth which You do to Your servant, for with my stick I crossed this Jordan, and now I have become two camps. <sup>11</sup> Rescue me, pray, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau, for I fear him, lest he comes and smites me, and the mother with the sons. <sup>12</sup> And you said, `Good, yea, good will I do to you, and I make your seed as the sand of the sea, which is not being numbered for multitude..

²⁴ And left is Jacob alone. And wrestling is a Man with him till the ascending of the dawn. ²⁵ And seeing is he that he does not prevail against Him. Yet touching is He the palm of his thighbone. And strained is the palm of Jacob's thighbone in his wrestling with Him. ²⁶ And saying is He to him, "Send Me away, for the dawn ascends.And saying is he, "Not letting You go am I save You bless me.

⁸ For what expectation can the polluted have when he is clipped off, When Eloah eases away his soul? ⁹ Shall El hearken to his cry When distress comes upon him? ¹⁰ Would he find pleasure in Him Who Suffices? Would he call to Eloah on every occasion?

¹³ I believe that I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living.

¹⁶ As for me, I am calling to Elohim, And Yahweh, He is saving me." ¹⁷ Evening, morning and noon I importune and clamor, And He hears my voice."

² O Hearer of prayer, Unto You all flesh shall come."

³ Be gracious to me, O Yahweh, For I am calling on You the entire day."

¹⁷ He will turn toward the prayer of the forlorn, And He will not despise their prayer."

⁵ I cry out to You, O Yahweh; I say, You are my Refuge, My Portion in the land of the living." ⁶ Do attend to my appeal, For I am exceedingly impoverished; Rescue me from my persecutors, For they are tougher than I." ⁷ Bring my soul forth from this enclosure To acclaim Your Name; The righteous shall compass about me, For You shall deal bountifully with me."

¹² `And you have called Me, and have gone, and have prayed unto Me, and I have hearkened unto you,

⁷ When my soul droops within me, I remember Yahweh, and my prayer is coming to You, to Your holy temple."

⁵ And He said to them, "Who of you will be having a friend and will be going to him at midnight and may be saying to him, 'Friend, let me use three cakes of bread, ⁶ since, in fact, a friend of mine came along out of the road to me, and I have nothing that I should be placing before him';" ⁷ and he, inside, answering, may be saying, Do not afford me weariness; already the door is locked, and my little children with me are in bed; I can not rise to give to you'? " ⁸ I am saying to you, even if he will not rise to give to him because of his being his friend, surely because of his pestering, being roused, he will be giving him whatever he needs." ⁹ And I to you am saying, Request, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you."

³⁶ Now be vigilant, on every occasion beseeching that you may be prevailing to escape all these things which are about to occur, and to stand in front of the Son of Mankind."

¹² rejoicing in expectation, enduring affliction, persevering in prayer,

¹ Therefore, having this dispensation, according as we were shown mercy, we are not despondent."

⁹ Now we may not be despondent in ideal doing, for in due season we shall be reaping, if we do not faint."

¹⁸ During every prayer and petition be praying on every occasion (in spirit being vigilant also for it with all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints,

⁶ Do not worry about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God,

² In prayer be persevering, watching in it with thanksgiving,

¹² Greeting you is Epaphras, who is one of you, a slave of Christ Jesus, always struggling for you in prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God."

¹⁷ Be praying unintermittingly.

³ For take into account the One Who has endured such contradiction by sinners while among them, lest you should be faltering, fainting in your souls." ⁴ Not as yet unto blood did you repulse, when contending against sin." ⁵ And you have been oblivious of the entreaty which is arguing with you as with sons: My son, do not disdain the discipline of the Lord, Nor yet faint when being exposed by Him."

²¹ Now you shall perceive among all the people men of ability, fearful of Elohim, men of truth, hating gain. You will place these over them as chiefs of thousands, chiefs of hundreds, chiefs of fifties and chiefs of tens. ²² And they will judge the people in every season. Yet it will be that every great matter of dispute they shall bring to you, and every small matter shall they judge themselves. Lighten yourself from what is on you, and they will bear it with you.

³ but good things have been found with you, for you have put away the shrines out of the land, and have prepared your heart to seek Elohim.. ⁴ And Jehoshaphat dwells in Jerusalem, and he turns back and goes out among the people from Beer-Sheba unto the hill-country of Ephraim, and brings them back unto Yahweh, Elohim of their fathers. ⁵ And he establishes judges in the land, in all the fenced cities of Judah, for every city, ⁶ and said unto the judges, `See what you are doing--for not for man do you judge, but for Yahweh, who [is] with you in the matter of judgment;" <sup>7</sup> and now, let fear of Yahweh be upon you, observe and do, for there is not with Yahweh our Elohim perverseness, and acceptance of faces, and taking of a bribe.. <sup>8</sup> And also in Jerusalem has Jehoshaphat appointed of the Levites, and of the priests, and of the heads of the fathers of Israel, for the judgment of Yahweh, and for strife; and they turn back to Jerusalem, <sup>9</sup> and he lays a charge upon them, saying, `Thus do you do in the fear of Yahweh, in faithfulness, and with a perfect heart,

⁷ When I went forth to the gate standing over the town And prepared my seat in the square, ⁸ The youths would see me and hide themselves, While the hoary-headed would rise and stand. ⁹ The chiefs would restrain their declarations And place the palm over their mouth; ¹⁰ The voices of the noblemen were hidden back, And their tongue would cling to their palate. ¹¹ When the ear heard, it called me happy, And when the eye saw, it testified in my favor. ¹² For I made a way of escape for the humble who implored, And the orphan and him who had no helper. ¹³ The blessing of the one perishing came on me, And I caused the heart of the widow to jubilate. ¹⁴ I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; My right judgment was as a robe and a turban. ¹⁵ I became eyes to the blind, And feet to the lame was I. ¹⁶ I was father to the needy ones, And the contention of him I knew not, I would investigate it. ¹⁷ I would break the fangs of the iniquitous And would fling the prey from his teeth.

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ O Yahweh our Lord, How noble is Your Name in all the earth, You Whose splendor is bestowed on the heavens. ² From the mouth of the unweaned and sucklings You have founded strength on account of Your foes, To cause the enemy and avenger to cease. ³ When I see Your heavens, the works of Your fingers, The moon and stars which You have established, ⁴ What is a mortal that You are mindful of him, Or a son of mankind that You are visiting him?

⁷ The righteous man knows adjudication for the poor; The wicked one does not understand such knowledge.

⁸ Desolated are the highways. The passer of the path ceases. He annuls the covenant, he rejects witnesses. He does not take account of a mortal."

¹⁶ He decided the cause of the poor and needy, Then [it is] well--is it not to know Me? An affirmation of Yahweh." ¹⁷ But your eyes and your heart are not, Except on your dishonest gain, And on shedding of innocent blood, And on oppression, and on doing of violence."

⁶ Lo, princes of Israel--each according to his arm Have been in you to shed blood." ⁷ Father and mother made light of in you, To a sojourner they dealt oppressively in your midst, Fatherless and widow they oppressed in you." ⁸ My holy things you have despised, And My sabbaths you have polluted."

¹ And He is saying, Oh hear this! you heads of the house of Jacob, and captains of the house of Israel, is it not yours to know judgment? ² You who are hating good and loving evil, snatching their skin off them, and their meat off their bones, ³ and who devour the meat of My people, and their skin they strip off them, and their bones they crunch, and spread them, as meat in the pot, and as flesh in the midst of the caldron."

⁴ And for a time he would not. Yet, after this, he said in himself, 'Even if I am not fearing God nor respecting man,

¹⁴ Whose mouth with imprecation and bitterness is crammed. ¹⁵ Sharp are their feet to shed blood. ¹⁶ Bruises and wretchedness are in their ways, ¹⁷ And the way of peace they do not know." ¹⁸ There is no fear of God in front of their eyes.

¹⁹ Cursed be the one turning aside the judgment of the sojourner, the orphan or the widow. Then all the people will say:Amen!"

⁵ And the king said to her, `What--to you?' and she said, `Truly a widow woman [am] I, and my husband dies, ⁶ and your maid-servant has two sons; and they strive both of them in a field, and there is no deliverer between them, and the one smites the other, and puts him to death;" ⁷ and lo, the whole family has risen against your maid-servant, and say, Give up him who smites his brother, and we put him to death for the life of his brother whom he has slain, and we destroy also the heir; and they have quenched my coal which is left--so as not to set to my husband a name and remnant on the face of the ground.. ⁸ And the king said unto the woman, `Go to your house, and I give charge concerning you.. <sup>9</sup> And the woman of Tekoah said unto the king, `On me, my lord, O king, [is] the iniquity, and on the house of my father; and the king and his throne [are] innocent.. ¹⁰ And the king said, `He who speaks [aught] unto you, and you have brought him unto me, then he does not add any more to come against you.. <sup>11</sup> And she said, `Let, I pray you, the king remember by Yahweh your Elohim, that the redeemer of blood add not to destroy, and they destroy not my son;' and he said, `Yahweh lives; if there does fall of the hair of your son to the earth.. <sup>12</sup> And the woman said, `Let, I pray you, your maid-servant speak unto my lord the king a word;' and he said, `Speak.. <sup>13</sup> And the woman said, `And why have you thought thus concerning the people of Elohim? yea, the king is speaking this thing as a guilty one, in that the king has not brought back his outcast;" ¹⁴ for we do surely die, and [are] as water which is running down to the earth, which is not gathered, and Elohim does not accept a person, and has devised devices in that the outcast is not outcast by Him. ¹⁵ `And now that I have come to speak unto the king my lord this word, [it is] because the people made me afraid, and your maid-servant said, Let me speak, I pray you, unto the king; it may be the king does do the word of his handmaid, <sup>16</sup> for the king does hearken to deliver his handmaid out of the paw of the man [seeking] to destroy me and my son together out of the inheritance of Elohim, <sup>17</sup> and your maid-servant said, Let, I pray you, the word of my lord the king be for ease; for as a messenger of Elohim so [is] my lord the king, to understand the good and the evil; and Yahweh your Elohim is with you.. <sup>18</sup> And the king answers and said unto the woman, `Do not, I pray you, hide from me the thing that I am asking you;' and the woman said, `Let, I pray you, my lord the king speak.. <sup>19</sup> And the king said, `Is the hand of Joab with you in all this?' And the woman answers and said, `Your soul lives, my lord, O king, none [does turn] to the right or to the left from all that my lord the king has spoken; for your servant Joab he commanded me, and he put in the mouth of your maid-servant all these words;" <sup>20</sup> in order to bring round the appearance of the thing has your servant Joab done this thing, and my lord [is] wise, according to the wisdom of a messenger of Elohim, to know all that [is] in the land.. <sup>21</sup> And the king said unto Joab, `Lo, I pray you, you have done this thing; and go, bring back the young man Absalom.. ²² And Joab falls on his face to the earth, and does obeisance, and blesses the king, and Joab said, `To-day has your servant known that I have found grace in your eyes, my lord, O king, in that the king has done the word of his servant.. <sup>23</sup> And Joab rises and goes to Geshur, and brings in Absalom to Jerusalem, <sup>24</sup> and the king said, `Let him turn round unto his house, and my face he does not see.' And Absalom turns round unto his house, and the face of the king he has not seen.

⁹ Widows you have sent away empty, And the arms of orphans you have crushed.

¹³ The blessing of the one perishing came on me, And I caused the heart of the widow to jubilate.

¹⁷ Leave off the evil! Learn to be good! Inquire for judgment! Make happy the wronged! Judge the orphan! Contend for the widow!

²¹ How becomes a prostitute the town that was faithful Zion! Full of judgment, righteousness lodging in her, yet now murderers!" ²² Your silver becomes dross, your grog is adulterated with water." ²³ Your chiefs are stubborn, and partners of thieves. Everyone loves a bribe, and pursues payments. The orphan they are not judging. And the contention of the widow is not coming to them."

²⁸ They have been fat, they have shone, Yea, they have overpassed the acts of the evil, Judgment they have not judged, The judgment of the fatherless--and they prosper, And the judgment of the needy they have not judged."

⁷ Yet should not God by all means be doing the avenging of His chosen ones, who are imploring Him day and night? And He is patient with them." ⁸ I am saying to you that He will be doing the avenging of them swiftly. Moreover, consequently, at the coming of the Son of Mankind, will He be finding the faith on the earth?

³ for magistrates are not a fear to the good act, but to the evil. Now you do not want to be fearing the authority. Do good, and you will be having applause from it." ⁴ For it is God's servant for your good. Now if you should be doing evil, fear, for not feignedly is it wearing the sword. For it is God's servant, an avenger for indignation to him who is committing evil."

¹⁷ And he reasoned in himself, saying, 'What shall I be doing, seeing that I have no where to gather my fruits?'"

³ Now the administrator said in himself, 'What shall I be doing, seeing that my lord will be wresting the administration from me? To dig I am not strong enough."

¹² For the word of God is living and operative, and keen above any two-edged sword, and penetrating up to the parting of soul and spirit, both of the articulations and marrow, and is a judge of the sentiments and thoughts of the heart." ¹³ And there is not a creature which is not apparent in its sight. Now all is naked and bare to the eyes of Him to Whom we are accountable.

¹⁶ And it comes to pass, because she distressed him with her words all the days, and does urge him, and his soul is grieved to death,

²⁴ And Absalom comes unto the king, and said, `Lo, I pray you, your servant has shearers, let the king go, I pray you, and his servants, with your servant.. <sup>25</sup> And the king said unto Absalom, `Nay, my son, let us not all go, I pray you, and we are not too heavy on you;' and he presses on him, and he has not been willing to go, and he blesses him. ²⁶ And Absalom said, `If not--let, I pray you, Amnon my brother go with us;' and the king said to him, `Why does he go with you?. ²⁷ and Absalom urges on him, and he sends with him Amnon, and all the sons of the king.

²³ Yet He answered her not a word. And, approaching, His disciples asked Him, saying, "Dismiss her, for she is crying behind us."

⁴⁷ And hearing that it is Jesus the Nazarene, he begins to cry and say, "Son of David! Jesus! Be merciful to me!" ⁴⁸ And many rebuked him, that he should be silent. Yet he, much rather, cried, "Son of David, be merciful to me!"

⁸ I am saying to you, even if he will not rise to give to him because of his being his friend, surely because of his pestering, being roused, he will be giving him whatever he needs."

³⁹ And those preceding rebuked him, that he should be silent. Yet he much the more cried, "Jesus, Son of David, be merciful to me!"

¹³ And perceiving her, the Lord has compassion on her and said to her, "Do not lament!"

¹² `Yahweh does judge between me and you, and Yahweh has avenged me of you, and my hand is not on you;" <sup>13</sup> as said the simile of the ancients, From the wicked goes out wickedness, and my hand is not on you. <sup>14</sup> `After whom has the king of Israel come out? after whom are you pursuing? --after a dead dog! after one flea! ¹⁵ And Yahweh has been for judge, and has judged between me and you, yea, he sees and pleads my cause, and does deliver me out of your hand..

¹⁰ And David said, `Yahweh lives; except Yahweh does smite him, or his day come that he has died, or into battle he go down, and has been consumed-. ¹¹ far be it from me, by Yahweh, from putting forth my hand against the anointed of Yahweh; and, now, take, I pray you, the spear which [is] at his pillow, and the cruse of water, and we go away..

⁸ And He shall judge the habitance with justice; He shall adjudicate the national groups with equity.

¹⁵ Break the arm of the wicked and evil one; May You inquire into his wickedness until You find no more. ¹⁶ Yahweh is King for the eon and further. The nations will perish from His land. ¹⁷ You hear the yearning of the humble, O Yahweh; You shall establish their heart; Your ear shall attend, ¹⁸ To redress the orphan and the crushed. A mortal of the earth shall not continue at all to terrify any more. {Permanent{

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ How long, O Yahweh? Shall You forget me permanently? How long shall You conceal Your face from me? ² How long shall I set griefs in my soul, With affliction in my heart by day and night? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

¹ {Contemplating, Davidic{ {When the Ziphites came and said to Saul, Is not David concealing himself among us?{ O Elohim, save me by Your Name, And adjudicate me by Your mastery." ² O Elohim, hear my prayer; Do give ear to the sayings of my mouth." ³ For aliens, they rise against me, And terrifiers, they seek my soul; They do not set Elohim in front of them. {Interlude{ " ⁴ Behold, Elohim is my Helper; Yahweh is the Grand Supporter of my soul." ⁵ Let evil turn back against those who lie in wait for me; By Your truth efface them. ⁶ With a volunteer offering will I sacrifice to You; I shall acclaim Your Name, O Yahweh, for it is good." ⁷ For He rescues me from all distress, And my eye sees the fate of my enemies. {Permanent, With Accompaniments{ "

¹ {Contemplating, For Heman the Ezrahite{ O Yahweh, Elohim of my salvation, By day I cry out, Even in the night in front of You."

¹¹ And Yahweh [is] with me, as a terrible mighty one, Therefore my persecutors stumble and prevail not, They have been exceedingly ashamed, For they have not acted wisely, Confusion eonian is not forgotten." ¹² And, O Yahweh of Hosts, trier of the righteous, Beholder of reins and heart, I do see Your vengeance out of them, For unto You I have revealed my cause." ¹³ Sing you to Yahweh, praise Yahweh, For He has delivered the soul of the needy From the hand of evil doers."

³ For the vision is yet for an appointed time; and it will bud at the end, and will not lie dormant. If it be dallying, tarry for it, for it will surely come, and it will not delay."

¹¹ If you, then, being wicked, have perceived how to be giving good gifts to your children, how much rather shall your Father Who is in the heavens be giving good things to those requesting Him?

³⁷ and she is a widow till she is eighty-four years) who does not withdraw from the sanctuary, with fasts and petitions offering divine service night and day."

¹³ If you, then, being inherently wicked, are aware how to give good gifts to your children, how much rather will the Father Who is out of heaven, be giving holy spirit to those requesting Him!"

³³ Who will be indicting God's chosen ones? God, the Justifier?

¹² Put on, then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, pitiful compassions, kindness, humility, meekness, patience,

¹⁰ night and day superexcessively beseeching to see your face and to adjust the deficiencies of your faith?

⁶ if so be that it is just of God to repay affliction to those afflicting you,

⁵ Now one really a widow, and alone, relies on God and is remaining in petitions and prayers night and day."

³ Grateful am I to God, to Whom I am offering divine service from my ancestors with a clear conscience, as I have an unintermittent remembrance concerning you in my petitions, night and day,

¹ Paul, a slave of God, yet an apostle of Jesus Christ, in accord with the faith of God's chosen, and a realization of the truth, which accords with devoutness,

³⁵ You should not, then, be casting away your boldness, which is having a great reward, " ³⁶ for you have need of endurance that, doing the will of God, you should be requited with the promise." ³⁷ For still how very little, He Who is coming will be arriving and not delaying."

⁹ The Lord is not tardy as to the promise, as some are deeming tardiness, but is patient because of you, not intending any to perish, but all to make room for repentance."

¹⁰ And they cry with a loud voice, saying, "Till when, O Owner, holy and true, art Thou not judging and avenging our blood on those dwelling on the earth?

¹⁵ Therefore they are before the throne of God and are offering divine service to Him day and night in His temple. And He Who is sitting on the throne will be tabernacling over them.

²⁰ Make merry over her, O heaven, and ye saints and apostles and prophets, seeing that God judges by passing your sentence upon her."

⁵ Elohim is within it; it shall never slip; Elohim shall help it at the presence of the morning.

⁷ Quickly answer me, O Yahweh; my spirit is exhausted; O do not conceal Your face from me, Or I would become comparable with descenders to the crypt." ⁸ Let me hear of Your benignity in each morning, For I trust in You; Let me know that way I should go, For I lift up my soul to You." ⁹ Rescue me from my enemies, O Yahweh; To You I look for cover."

⁹ Then shall they be giving you up to affliction, and they shall be killing you, and you shall be hated by all of the nations because of My name." ¹⁰ And then many shall be snared, and they shall be giving one another up and hating one another." ¹¹ And many false prophets shall be roused, and shall be deceiving many." ¹² And, because of the multiplication of lawlessness, the love of many shall be cooling." ¹³ Yet he who endures to the consummation, he shall be saved."

²⁴ For roused shall be false christs and false prophets, and they shall be giving great signs and miracles, so as to deceive, if possible, even the chosen."

²⁶ And according as it occurred in the days of Noah, thus will it be in the days of the Son of Mankind also." ²⁷ They ate, they drank, they married, they took out in marriage, until the day on which Noah entered into the ark, and the deluge came and destroys them all." ²⁸ Likewise, according as it occurred in the days of Lot, they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built." ²⁹ Yet on the day in which Lot came out from Sodom, fire and sulphur rains from heaven and destroys them all." ³⁰ In accord with these will it be on the day in which the Son of Mankind is unveiled.

¹ Now concerning the times and the eras, brethren, you have no need to be written to, ² for you yourselves are accurately aware that the day of the Lord is as a thief in the night - thus is it coming! ³ Now whenever they may be saying "Peace and security,then extermination is standing by them unawares, even as a pang over the pregnant, and they may by no means escape."

²³ We may be retaining the avowal of the expectation without wavering, for faithful is He Who promises." ²⁴ And we may be considering one another to incite to love and ideal acts, ²⁵ not forsaking the assembling of ourselves, according as the custom of some is, but entreating, and so much rather as you are observing the day drawing near." ²⁶ For at our sinning voluntarily after obtaining the recognition of the truth, it is no longer leaving a sacrifice concerned with sins,

¹ Come now, you rich, lament, howling for your wretchedness which is coming on you! " ² Your riches have rotted and your garments have become food for moths. ³ Your gold and silver corrode and their venom will be for a testimony against you, and the venom will be eating your flesh as fire. You hoard in the last days." ⁴ Lo! the wage of the workers, who mow your country places, which has been withheld by you, is crying, and the imploring of the reapers has entered into the ears of the Lord of hosts." ⁵ You luxuriate on the earth, and squander. You nourish your hearts as in a day of slaughter." ⁶ You convict, you murder the just; he is not resisting you." ⁷ Be patient, then, brethren, till the presence of the Lord. Lo! the farmer is waiting for the precious fruit of the land, being patient about it, till it should be getting the early and late showers." ⁸ You also, then, be patient; establish your hearts, for the presence of the Lord is near."

³ and in greed, with suave words, they will traffic in you, whose judgment of old is not idling, and their destruction is not nodding."

⁸ Now of this one thing you are not to be oblivious, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day." ⁹ The Lord is not tardy as to the promise, as some are deeming tardiness, but is patient because of you, not intending any to perish, but all to make room for repentance."

¹² A breed of men that are clean in their own eyes Yet are not washed from their filth;

⁵ who are saying, `Keep near to yourself! You must not come close to me, for I am holier than you.' These are a smoke in My nose, a fire which is glowing all the day."

⁵ Hear the word of Yahweh, you who tremble at His word, "Say do your brethren, who are hating you, who are isolating you on account of My name, `Yahweh will be glorified!' Yet He will appear in your rejoicing, and they shall be ashamed."

³⁹ Now, perceiving it, the Pharisee who invites Him said in himself, saying, "This one, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman it is who is touching him, seeing that she is a sinner."

²⁹ Yet he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my associate?

² And both the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying that "This man sinners is receiving, and is eating with them!"

²⁹ Now he, answering, said to his father, 'Lo! so many years am I slaving for you, and I never passed by your precept, and you never give me a kid that I may make merry with my friends." ³⁰ Yet when this son of yours came, who is devouring your livelihood with prostitutes, you sacrifice for him the grain-fed calf!'"

¹⁵ And He said to them, "You are those who are justifying yourselves in the sight of men, yet God knows your hearts, for what is high among men is an abomination in the sight of God."

¹¹ The Pharisee, standing, prayed this to himself: 'God, I am thanking you that I am not even as the rest of men, rapacious, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tribute collector."

⁷ And perceiving it, all grumbled, saying that with a man who is a sinner He entered to put up for the night."

⁴⁷ The Pharisees, then, answered them, "Not you also are deceived? ⁴⁸ Not any of the chiefs believes in him, or of the Pharisees." ⁴⁹ But this throng that knows not the law is accursed."

⁴⁸ The Jews answered and say to Him, "Are we not saying ideally that you are a Samaritan and have a demon?

²⁸ Now they revile him and said, "You are a disciple of that man, yet we are disciples of Moses."

³⁴ They answered and say to him, "You were wholly born in sins, and you are teaching us!And they cast him out."

²¹ And He said to me, 'Go! For I shall be delegating you afar to the nations.'"

⁹ Now I lived, apart from law, once, yet at the coming of the precept Sin revives. Yet I died,

³¹ Yet Israel, pursuing a law of righteousness, into a law of righteousness does not outstrip." ³² Wherefore? Seeing that it is not out of faith, but as out of law works, they stumble on the stumbling stone,

³ For they, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, were not subjected to the righteousness of God."

¹⁰ Now why are you judging your brother? Or why are you also scorning your brother? For all of us shall be presented at the dais of God,

⁴ And am I having confidence in flesh, also? If any other one is presuming to have confidence in flesh, I rather:" ⁵ in circumcision the eighth day, of the race of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews, in relation to law, a Pharisee, ⁶ in relation to zeal, persecuting the ecclesia, in relation to the righteousness which is in law, becoming blameless."

³⁰ `Then You have hearkened unto the supplication of Your servant, and of Your people Israel, which they pray towards this place; yea, You do hearken in the place of Your dwelling, in the heavens--and You have hearkened, and have forgiven,

⁵ `Turn back, and you have said unto Hezekiah, leader of My people:Thus said Yahweh, Elohim of David your father, I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tear, lo, I give healing to you, on the third day you do go up to the house of Yahweh;"

⁸ And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, `What [is] the sign that Yahweh does give healing to me, that I have gone up on the third day to the house of Yahweh?.

³¹ Which of the two does the will of the father?They are saying, "The first.Jesus is saying to them, "Verily, I am saying to you that the tribute collectors and the prostitutes are preceding you into the kingdom of God." ³² For John came to you on the road of righteousness, and you do not believe him. Yet the tribute collectors and the prostitutes believe him. Now you, perceiving it, did not even regret subsequently, so as to believe him."

⁹ according to the custom of the priestly office, he chanced to burn incense, entering into the temple of the Lord." ¹⁰ And the entire multitude of the people was praying outside at the hour of incense.

²⁹ And hearing, the entire people, even the tribute collectors, justify God, being baptized with the baptism of John." ³⁰ Yet the Pharisees and those learned in the law repudiate the counsel of God for themselves, not being baptized by him."

⁴⁶ saying to them, "It is written, My house shall also be a house of prayer,' yet you make it a burglars' cave."

¹ Now Peter and John went up into the sanctuary at the hour of prayer, the ninth."

⁶ Now Paul, knowing that the one party is of Sadducees, yet the other of Pharisees, cries in the Sanhedrin, "Men! Brethren! A Pharisee, son of Pharisees am I. Concerning the expectation and resurrection of the dead am I being judged." ⁷ Now at his saying this, there came to be a commotion of the Pharisees and Sadducees, and the multitude is rent." ⁸ For Sadducees, indeed, are saying there is no resurrection, nor messenger, nor spirit; yet Pharisees are avowing both."

⁵ knowing me before, from the very first, if they should be willing to testify, that, according to the strictest sect of this ritual of ours, I live a Pharisee."

⁵ in circumcision the eighth day, of the race of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews, in relation to law, a Pharisee,

¹ {A Song of Ascents{ Behold, bless Yahweh, all servants of Yahweh, Who are standing in Yahweh's House by night."

² Who are standing in Yahweh's House, In the courts of the House of our Elohim."

¹⁵ And when you spread your palms to Me, I will obscure My eyes from you. Moreover, in case you are increasing your prayers, there is no hearing by Me. Your hands are full of blood. Amidst your fingers extrudes lawlessness."

² Yet, for Me, day by day are they inquiring, and in the knowledge of My ways are they delighting, as a nation which does righteousness, and the judgment of its Elohim does not forsake. They are asking Me for righteous judgments. In the nearness of their Elohim are they delighting."

²⁸ And where [are] your elohims, that you have made to yourself? Let them arise, if they may save you, In the time of your vexation, For--the number of your cities have been your elohims, O Judah,

³⁵ And you say, `Because I have been innocent, Surely turned back has His anger from me?' Lo, I have been judged with you, Because of your saying, `I have not sinned.'"

³¹ And they come in unto you as the coming in of a people, And they sit before you--My people, And have heard your words, and they do them not, For doting loves with their mouth they are making, After their dishonest gain their heart is going."

¹¹ her heads are judging for a bribe, and her priests are directing for a price, and her prophets are divining for money, and on Yahweh they are leaning, saying:Is not Yahweh within us? Evil shall not come on us."

⁷ Now, perceiving many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, "Progeny of vipers! Who intimates to you to be fleeing from the impending indignation? ⁸ Produce, then, fruit worthy of repentance. ⁹ And you should not be presuming to be saying among yourselves, 'For a father we have Abraham,' for I am saying to you that able is God, out of these stones to rouse children to Abraham. ¹⁰ "Yet already the ax is lying at the root of the trees. Every tree, then, which is not producing ideal fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire.

⁵ And whenever you may be praying, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they are fond of standing in the synagogues and at the corners of the squares to be praying, so that they may appear to men. Verily, I am saying to you, They are collecting their wages!"

¹⁸ He is saying to Him, "Which?Now Jesus said, "These: 'You shall not be murdering.' 'You shall not be committing adultery.' 'You shall not be stealing.' 'You shall not be testifying falsely.'" ¹⁹ Be honoring father and mother,' and 'You shall be loving your associate as yourself.'" ²⁰ The youth is saying to Him, "These all I maintain. In what am I still deficient?

²⁵ And whenever you may be standing praying, be forgiving, if you have anything against anyone, that your Father also, Who is in the heavens, may be forgiving you your offenses."

⁴⁷ who are devouring the homes of widows and, for a pretense, are prolix in praying. These will be getting more excessive judgment."

⁷ For who is making you to discriminate? Now what have you which you did not obtain? Now if you obtained it also, why are you boasting as though not obtaining? ⁸ Already are you sated, already are you rich, apart from us you reign. And would that you surely reign, that we should be reigning together with you!"

⁹ For I am the least of the apostles, who am not competent to be called an apostle, because I persecute the ecclesia of God." ¹⁰ Yet, in the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace, which is in me, did not come to be for naught, but more exceedingly than all of them toil I - yet not I, but the grace of God which is with me."

¹⁰ For whoever are of works of law are under a curse, for it written that, Accursed is everyone who is not remaining in all things written in the scroll of the law to do them."

⁶ in relation to zeal, persecuting the ecclesia, in relation to the righteousness which is in law, becoming blameless."

¹² Grateful am I to Him Who invigorates me, Christ Jesus, our Lord, for He deems me faithful, assigning me a service, ¹³ I, who formerly was a calumniator and a persecutor and an outrager: but I was shown mercy, seeing that I do it being ignorant, in unbelief." ¹⁴ Yet the grace of our Lord overwhelms, with faith and love in Christ Jesus." ¹⁵ Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all welcome, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, foremost of whom am I." ¹⁶ But therefore was I shown mercy, that in me, the foremost, Jesus Christ should be displaying all His patience, for a pattern of those who are about to be believing on Him for life eonian."

⁹ Yet if you are showing partiality, you are working sin, being exposed by the law as transgressors." ¹⁰ For anyone who should be keeping the whole law, yet should be tripping in one thing, has become liable for all." ¹¹ For He Who is saying, You should not be committing adultery, said, You should not be murdering, also. Now if you are not committing adultery, yet are murdering, you have become a transgressor of law." ¹² Thus be speaking and thus be doing, as those about to be judged by a law of freedom. "

¹⁷ Seeing that you are saying that 'Rich am I!' and 'Rich have I become, and of nothing have I need!' and you are not aware that you are wretched and forlorn and poor and blind and naked,

³⁰ As for all the tithe of the land, of the seed of the land and of the fruit of the tree, it is Yahweh's; it is holy to Yahweh. ³¹ And if a man should redeem, yea redeem any part of his tithe, a fifth of it shall he add to it. ³² All the tithe of the herd and the flock, all that passes under the club, a tenth shall become holy to Yahweh;" ³³ he shall make no quest between good and bad nor substitute for it. And if he should substitute, yea substitute for it, then it has become holy; both it and its substitute shall be holy. It may not be redeemed.

²⁴ for it is the tithe of the sons of Israel which they shall raise up as a heave offering to Yahweh which I give to the Levites as an allotment. Therefore I say concerning them:No allotment in the midst of the sons of Israel shall they be allotted.

⁴ Elohim met Balaam, and he said to Him:The seven altars have I arranged, and I offered up a young bull and a ram on each altar.

¹³ And Samuel comes in unto Saul, and Saul said to him, `Blessed [are] you of Yahweh; I have performed the word of Yahweh..

¹⁶ and said, `Come with me, and look on my zeal for Yahweh;' and they cause him to ride in his chariot.

² Yet, for Me, day by day are they inquiring, and in the knowledge of My ways are they delighting, as a nation which does righteousness, and the judgment of its Elohim does not forsake. They are asking Me for righteous judgments. In the nearness of their Elohim are they delighting." ³ Why do we fast, yet You do not see? We humble our souls, yet You are not knowing?Behold! In the day of your fast you are finding delight, and all your grievous labors are you exacting of others."

⁵ Say to all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When you fasted and wailed in the fifth and in the seventh months, even this seventy years--did you really fast to Me? ⁶ And when you are eating, and when you are drinking, are you not the eaters, and you the drinkers?

⁸ Will a human defraud Elohim? For you are defrauding Me. Yet you say, In what way do we defraud You? In the tithe and the heave offering!"

¹ Yet take heed not to be doing your righteousness in front of men, in order to be gazed at by them, otherwise surely you have no wages with your Father Who is in the heavens."

¹⁶ Now whenever you may be fasting, become not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance, for they disguise their faces so that they may appear to men to be fasting. Verily, I am saying to you: They are collecting their wages."

¹⁴ Then coming to Him are the disciples of John, saying, "Wherefore are we and the Pharisees fasting much, yet your disciples are not fasting?

⁷ Hypocrites! Ideally Isaiah prophesies concerning you, saying, ⁸ This people with their lips is honoring Me, Yet their heart is away at a distance from Me." ⁹ Yet in vain are they revering Me, Teaching for teachings the directions of men."

²³ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are taking tithes from the mint and the dill and the cumin, and leave the weightier matters of the law, judging and mercy and faith. Now these it was binding for you to do, and not leave those." ²⁴ Blind guides! straining out a gnat, yet swallowing a camel!"

⁴² But woe to you, Pharisees! for you are taking tithes from mint and rue and all greens, and you are passing by judging and the love of God. Now these it was binding for you to do and not to be devoid of those."

¹⁰ Thus, you also, whenever you should be doing all these things that are prescribed you, be saying that 'Useless slaves are we. What we ought to do we have done.'"

²⁷ Where, then, is boasting? It is debarred! Through what law?

¹ Indeed, brethren, the delight of my heart and my petition to God for their sake is for salvation." ² For I am testifying to them that they have a zeal of God, but not in accord with recognition." ³ For they, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, were not subjected to the righteousness of God."

²⁹ so that no flesh at all should be boasting in God's sight.

¹⁴ And I progressed in Judaism above many contemporaries in my race, being inherently exceedingly more zealous for the traditions of my fathers."

⁹ not of works, lest anyone should be boasting."

⁸ for bodily exercise is beneficial for a few things, yet devoutness is beneficial for all, having promise for the life which now is, and that which is impending."

¹² And when he is in distress he has appeased the face of Yahweh his Elohim, and is humbled exceedingly before the Elohim of his fathers, ¹³ and prays unto Him, and He is entreated of him, and hears his supplication, and brings him back to Jerusalem, to his kingdom, and Manasseh knows that Yahweh--He [is] Elohim.

¹⁹ and his prayer, and his entreaty, and all his sin, and his trespass, and the places in which he had built high places, and established the shrines and the graven images before his being humbled, lo, they are written beside the matters of Hozai.

²³ and has not been humbled before Yahweh, like the humbling of Manasseh his father, for Amon himself has multiplied guilt.

⁶ and said:My Elohim, I am ashamed and confounded to raise up my face to You, my Elohim, for our depravities, they are abundant, above our heads, and our guilt is towering unto the heavens.

⁶ Therefore I sink down and repent On soil and ashes.

⁷ Do not remember the sins of my youth and my transgressions; According to Your benignity, remember me, I pray You, On account of Your goodness, O Yahweh."

¹¹ On account of Your Name, O Yahweh, Thus pardon my depravity, though it be great."

¹² For evils have enveloped about me until there is no numbering; My depravities have overtaken me so that I am not able to see. They are more plentiful than the hairs of my head, And my heart, it has forsaken me."

⁴ As for me, I said, O Yahweh, be gracious to me; Do heal my soul, for I have sinned against You."

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ {When Nathan the prophet came to him after he had come to Bath-sheba.{ Be gracious to me, O Elohim, according to Your benignity; According to Your many compassions wipe out my transgressions." ² Rinse me abundantly from my depravity, And from my sin cleanse me." ³ For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is in front of me continually."

¹⁵ Yet You, O Yahweh, are an El compassionate and gracious, Slow to anger and with much benignity and faithfulness." ¹⁶ Turn toward me and be gracious to me; Do grant Your strength to Your servant, And do save the son of Your maidservant."

⁶ We have sinned with our fathers; We have sown depravity; We have acted wickedly.

⁴¹ And let Your benignities come to me, O Yahweh, Your salvation according to Your promise."

³ If You should keep account of depravities, O Yah, O Yahweh, who should stand? ⁴ For with You is pardon That You may be devoutly feared.

⁷ Wait, Israel, for Yahweh, For with Yahweh is benignity, And with Him abundant ransom."

¹⁸ Go, pray and it shall be corrected,saying is Yahweh. "If your sins are coming to be as double dipped scarlet, as snow shall they be white. If they are reddened as crimson, as wool shall they become."

⁵ And saying am I, "Alack to me! For stilled am I, for a man of unclean lips am I, and amidst a people of unclean lips am I dwelling, for the King, Yahweh of hosts, my eyes have seen!"

⁵ You come upon the elated and the doer of righteousness. In Your ways are they remembering You. Behold! You are wroth when we are sinning. Against You from the eon also are we transgressing. ⁶ And we are becoming as unclean, all of us, and as an ornamented garment is all our righteousness. And we are decaying as a leaf, all of us, and our depravities, as the wind, are carrying us away."

¹⁸ I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself, `You have chastised me, And I am chastised, as a heifer not taught, Turn me back, and I turn back, For you [are] Yahweh my Elohim." ¹⁹ For after my turning back I repented, And after my being instructed I struck on the thigh, I have been ashamed, I have also blushed, For I have borne the reproach of my youth."

⁶³ So that you do remember, And you have been ashamed, And there is not to you any more an opening of the mouth because of your shame, In My receiving atonement for you, For all that you have done, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh!'"

⁵ We sin and we are depraved, we do wickedly and revolt, we withdraw from Thy instructions and from Thy judgments."

⁷ To Thee, my Lord, is righteousness, yet to us is shamefacedness as at this day:To each man of Judah, to the dwellers of Jerusalem, to all the people of Israel, the near and the far, in all the lands where Thou hast expelled them for their offense with which they offend Thee." ⁸ To Thee, Yahweh, is righteousness, yet to us is shamefacedness:To our kings, to our chiefs, to our forefathers, who sin against Thee." ⁹ Of Yahweh our Elohim are compassions and pardons; for we revolt against Him." ¹⁰ We do not hearken to the voice of Yahweh our Elohim, to go in His laws which He sets before us by the hand of His servants the prophets." ¹¹ All Israel--they trespass against Thy law to withdraw so as not to hearken to Thy voice. Hence pouring forth on us is the imprecation and the oath which is written in the law of Moses, the servant of Elohim; for we sin against Him."

¹⁸ Stretch out, my Elohim, Thine ear and hear me; unclose Thine eyes and see our desolation and the city over which Thy name is called; for not on account of our righteousness are we casting our supplications before Thee, but on account of the multitude of Thy compassions." ¹⁹ My Lord, hear! My Lord, pardon! My Lord, attend and do! Thou must not be delaying on Thine own account, my Elohim, for Thy name is called over Thy city and over Thy people, Israel."

¹³ Now go, learn what this is: Mercy am I wanting, and not sacrifice. For I did not come to call the just but sinners."

⁸ Now perceiving it, Simon Peter prostrates before Jesus' knees, saying, "Come away from me, for a man, a sinner am I, Lord!"

⁶ Now Jesus went with them. Now, as He is already not far away from the house, the centurion sends friends to Him, saying to Him, "Lord, do not bother, for not enough am I that Thou mayest be entering under my roof." ⁷ Wherefore, neither do I count myself worthy to be coming to Thee. But say the word, and my boy will be healed."

¹⁸ Rising, I will go to my father and declare to him, "Father, I sinned against heaven and in your sight." ¹⁹ No longer am I worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired men."'" ²⁰ And rising, he came to his father. "Now, at his being still far away, his father perceived him and has compassion, and running, falls on his neck and fondly kisses him." ²¹ Now the son said to him, 'Father, I sinned against heaven and in your sight. No longer am I worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired men.'"

¹² And, at His entering into a certain village, ten men, lepers, meet Him, who stand ahead."

⁴⁰ Yet answering, the other one, rebuking him, averred, "Yet you are not fearing God, seeing that you are in the same judgment!" ⁴¹ And we, indeed, justly, for we are getting back the deserts of what we commit, yet this One commits nothing amiss." ⁴² And he said to Jesus, "Be reminded of me, Lord, whenever Thou mayest be coming in Thy kingdom." ⁴³ And Jesus said to him, "Verily, to you am I saying today, with Me shall you be in paradise."

⁴⁸ And all the throngs which came along together to behold this, beholding the occurrences, beating their chests, returned."

³⁷ Now, hearing this, their heart was pricked with compunction. Besides, they said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "What should we be doing, men, brethren?

⁸ yet God is commending this love of His to us, seeing that, while we are still sinners, Christ died for our sakes."

²⁰ Yet law came in by the way, that the offense should be increasing. Yet where sin increases, grace superexceeds, ²¹ that, even as Sin reigns in death, thus Grace also should be reigning through righteousness, for life eonian, through Jesus Christ, our Lord."

¹¹ For lo! this same thing-for you to made sorry according to God - how much it produces in you of diligence, nay, defense, nay, resentment, nay, fear, nay, longing, nay, zeal, nay, avenging! In everything you commend yourselves to be pure in this matter."

¹⁵ Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all welcome, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, foremost of whom am I."

¹⁶ We may be coming, then, with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may be obtaining mercy and finding grace for opportune help."

¹² For I shall be propitious to their injustices, And of their sins and their lawlessnesses should I under no circumstances still be reminded."

⁸ If we should be saying that we have no sin we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us." ⁹ If we should be avowing our sins, He is faithful and just that He may be pardoning us our sins and should be cleansing us from all injustice." ¹⁰ If we should be saying that we have not sinned, we are making Him a liar, and His word is not in us."

¹¹ Now I know that Yahweh is greater than all the elohim, yea in the matter in which they were arrogant against them.

¹⁸ And she said, `Let your handmaid find grace in your eyes;' and the woman goes on her way, and eats, and her countenance has not been [sad] for it any more.

²⁰ Though I were righteous my mouth would condemn me; Though I were flawless, He would declare me perverse.

²⁹ When they abase, then you may claim pride, For He shall save the downcast of eyes.

⁴ How then can a mortal be righteous before El, And how can one born of woman be pure?

⁹ Do you have an arm like El's? And can you thunder with a voice like His? ¹⁰ Ornament yourself then with pride and loftiness, And with splendor and honor you shall clothe yourself. ¹¹ Scatter forth the ragings of your anger; Discern every proud one and abase him. ¹² Discern every proud one and make him submit; Crush the wicked where they are. ¹³ Bury them in the soil together; Bind up their faces in the burial crypt.

⁶ Though Yahweh is exalted, yet He discerns the lowly, And He knows the haughty one from afar."

² O do not enter into judgment with Your servant, For no living one at all can be righteous before You."

³⁴ If as to mockers, He Himself mocks, So as to the humble, He gives grace."

³³ The fear of Yahweh is the discipline of wisdom, And before glory goes humility."

¹⁸ Pride goes before a breaking, And a haughty spirit before a stumbling." ¹⁹ It is better to be lowly of spirit with the humble Than to apportion loot with the proud.

¹² The heart of a man is haughty before a breaking, Yet humility comes before glory."

²³ A man's pride abases him, Yet he who is lowly of spirit shall take firm hold of glory."

⁷ Go, eat your bread with rejoicing, and drink your wine with good heart, For already the One, Elohim, has approved of your works."

¹¹ The eyes of the haughty human are low, and prostrate is the highness of mortals, and Yahweh alone is impregnable in that day." ¹² For a day for Yahweh of hosts is on everyone proud and high, and on everyone lifted up, and abased is he." ¹³ And on all cedars of Lebanon, high and uplifted, and on all oaks of Bashan, ¹⁴ and on all the high mountains, and on all the uplifted hills, ¹⁵ and on every lofty tower, and on every wall for defense, ¹⁶ and on all the ships of Tharshish, and on all the displays of coveted boats." ¹⁷ And prostrate is the haughtiness of humanity, and abased is the highness of mortals, and Yahweh alone is impregnable in that day."

²⁵ In Yahweh shall they be just, and in Elohim all the seed of Israel shall boast."

¹¹ From the toil of His soul shall He see light. And He shall be satisfied by His knowledge. My righteous Servant shall justify many, and with their depravities shall He be burdened."

¹⁵ For thus says Yahweh, high and lifted up, who tabernacles the future, and holy is His name:"In the high and holy place am I tabernacling, and with the crushed and lowly spirit, to preserve alive the spirit of the lowly, and to preserve alive the heart of the crushed."

³⁷ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, am lauding and exalting and honoring the King of the heavens, seeing that all His deeds are verity, and His paths are adjudication; and all walking in pride He can abase."

⁴ Behold! it is made presumptuous:his soul is not upright in him. Yet the just one by his faith shall live.

³ "Happy, in spirit, are the poor, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.

¹² Yet anyone who shall be exalting himself shall be humbled, and anyone who shall be humbling himself shall be exalted."

⁵² He pulls down potentates from thrones, And exalts the humble."

²⁴ Now, that you may be perceiving that the Son of Mankind has authority on earth to pardon sins (He said to the paralyzed), to you am I saying, Rouse and pick up your cot and go into your house." ²⁵ And instantly, rising before them, picking up that on which he was laid, he came away into his house, glorifying God."

⁴⁷ on behalf of which, I am saying to you, pardoned are her many sins, for she loves much. Now to whom there is scant pardoning, there is scant loving." ⁴⁸ Now He said to her, "Pardoned are your sins." ⁴⁹ And those lying back at table with Him begin to be saying among themselves, "Who is this who is pardoning sins also? ⁵⁰ Now He said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you. Go in peace."

¹¹ For everyone exalting himself shall be humbled, and humbling himself shall be exalted."

²⁰ because, by works of law, no flesh at all shall be justified in His sight, for through law is the recognition of sin."

⁵ Yet to him who is not working, yet is believing on Him Who is justifying the irreverent, his faith is reckoned for righteousness."

¹ Being, then, justified by faith, we may be having peace toward God, through our Lord, Jesus Christ,

¹⁶ having perceived that a man is not being justified by works of law, except alone through the faith of Christ Jesus, we also believe in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by the faith of Christ and not by works of law, seeing that by works of law shall no flesh at all be justified."

²¹ Abraham, our father, was he not justified by works when offering up his son Isaac on the altar? ²² You are observing that faith worked together with his works, and by works was faith perfected." ²³ And fulfilled was the scripture which is saying, Now "Abraham believes God, and it is reckoned to him for righteousness,and he was called "the friend of God." ²⁴ You see that by works a man is being justified, and not by faith only." ²⁵ Now likewise, was not Rahab the prostitute also justified by works when entertaining the messengers and ejecting them by a different way?

⁶ Yet greater is the grace He is giving. Wherefore He is saying, God "the proud is resisting, yet to the humble He is giving grace."

¹⁰ Be humbled, then, in the Lord's sight, and He shall be exalting you."

⁵ Likewise, younger men may be subject to the elder, yet all wear the servile apron of humility with one another, for God "is resisting the proud, yet is giving grace to the humble." ⁶ Be humbled, then, under the mighty hand of God, that He should be exalting you in season,

²⁴ and she causes him to go up with her when she has weaned him, with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and she brings him into the house of Yahweh at Shiloh, and the youth [is but] a youth.

¹³ Then little children were brought to Him, that He may be placing His hands on them and should be praying. Yet the disciples rebuke them." ¹⁴ Yet Jesus said to them, "Let the little children be coming to Me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of the heavens." ¹⁵ And, placing His hands on them, He went thence."

¹³ And they brought to Him little children, that He should be touching them; yet the disciples rebuke them." ¹⁴ Yet, perceiving it, Jesus resents it, and said to them, "Let the little children be coming to Me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of God." ¹⁵ Verily, I am saying to you, Whosoever should not be receiving the kingdom of God as a little child, may under no circumstances be entering into it." ¹⁶ And, clasping them in His arms, He, in benediction, is placing His hands on them."

⁴⁹ Now, answering, John said, "Doctor, we perceived someone casting out demons in Thy name, and we forbade him, for he is not following with us." ⁵⁰ Yet Jesus said to him, "Be not forbidding, for he who is not against you is for you."

⁵⁴ Now perceiving it, His disciples, James and John, say, "Lord, art Thou willing? May we be telling fire to descend from heaven and consume them, as Elijah also does?

⁴ And circumcising is Abraham Isaac, his son, at eight days of age as the Elohim had instructed him.

¹⁰ And blessing is Jacob Pharaoh and is faring forth from before Pharaoh. ¹¹ And Joseph located his father and his brothers, and is giving to them a freehold in the land of Egypt in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh instructs. ¹² And sustaining is Joseph his father and his brothers and all his father's household. And there is bread for the mouths of the tots. ¹³ And bread there is none in all the land, for heavy is the famine exceedingly, and frantic is the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan in view of the famine. ¹⁴ And gleaning is Joseph all the money found in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan for the victuals which they are purchasing for their ration. And bringing is Joseph all the money to Pharaoh's house.

¹¹ your little ones, your wives, even your sojourner who is within your camps, from the chopper of your timbers to the bailer of your waters,

¹² Assemble the people, the men, the women, the little ones and your sojourner who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn:they must fear Yahweh your Elohim and must observe to keep all the words of this law.

¹³ And all Judah are standing before Yahweh, also their infants, their wives, and their sons.

³⁹ and I have given to them one heart, and one way, to fear Me all the days, for good to them, and to their sons after them:"

³ and said, "Verily, I am saying to you, If you should not be turning and becoming as little children, you may by no means be entering into the kingdom of the heavens." ⁴ Who, then, will be humbling himself as this little child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of the heavens."

³⁹ For to you is the promise and to your children, and to all those afar, whosoever the Lord our God should be calling to Him."

¹⁴ For the unbelieving husband is hallowed by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is hallowed by the brother, else, consequently, your children are unclean. Yet now they are holy."

²⁰ Brethren, do not become little children in disposition. But in evil be minors, yet in disposition become mature."

² as recently born babes, long for the unadulterated milk of the word that by it you may be growing into salvation,

¹ {A Song of Ascents, Davidic{ O Yahweh, my heart is not haughty; Nor are my eyes set high, And I do not walk in ways too great Or too difficult for me." ² Assuredly I have poised and stilled my soul Like a weaned child with his mother; Like a weaned child is my soul to me.

³ and said, "Verily, I am saying to you, If you should not be turning and becoming as little children, you may by no means be entering into the kingdom of the heavens."

¹⁵ Verily, I am saying to you, Whosoever should not be receiving the kingdom of God as a little child, may under no circumstances be entering into it."

¹⁴ As obedient children, not configuring to the former desires, in your ignorance,

⁶ A son will glorify a father, and a servant his lord. Yet if a Father am I, where is My glory? And if a Lord am I, where is My fear? says Yahweh of hosts to you, the priests who are despising My name. Yet you say, In what way do we despise Your name?

¹⁶ And lo! one coming to Him said, "Teacher, what good shall I be doing that I should be having life eonian? ¹⁷ Yet He said to him, "Why are you asking Me concerning good? One is good. Yet if you are wanting to be entering into life, keep the precepts." ¹⁸ He is saying to Him, "Which?Now Jesus said, "These: 'You shall not be murdering.' 'You shall not be committing adultery.' 'You shall not be stealing.' 'You shall not be testifying falsely.'" ¹⁹ Be honoring father and mother,' and 'You shall be loving your associate as yourself.'" ²⁰ The youth is saying to Him, "These all I maintain. In what am I still deficient? ²¹ Jesus averred to him, "If you are wanting to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and be giving to the poor, and you will be having treasure in the heavens. And hither! Follow Me." ²² Now, hearing this word, the youth came away sorrowing, for he had many acquisitions." ²³ Now Jesus said to His disciples, "Verily, I am saying to you that the rich squeamishly will be entering into the kingdom of the heavens." ²⁴ Yet again, I am saying to you that it is easier for a camel to be entering through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to be entering into the kingdom of God." ²⁵ Now, hearing it, the disciples were tremendously astonished, saying, "Who, consequently, can be saved? ²⁶ Now, looking at them, Jesus said to them, "With men this is impossible, yet with God all is possible." ²⁷ Then, answering, Peter said to Him, "Lo! we leave all and follow Thee. What, consequently, will it be to us? ²⁸ Yet Jesus said to them, "Verily, I am saying to you, that you who follow Me, in the renascence whenever the Son of Mankind should be seated on the throne of His glory, you also shall sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel." ²⁹ And everyone who leaves houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or fields, on account of My name, a hundred-fold shall be getting, and shall be enjoying the allotment of life eonian." ³⁰ Yet many of the first shall be last, and the last first."

¹⁷ And at His going out into the road, lo! one certain rich man, running toward Him and falling on his knees before Him, inquired of Him, "Good Teacher! What shall I be doing that I should be enjoying the allotment of life eonian? ¹⁸ Now Jesus said to him, "Why are you terming Me good? No one is good except One, God." ¹⁹ With the precepts you are acquainted: You should not be murdering. You should not be committing adultery. You should not be stealing. You should not be testifying falsely. You should not be cheating. 'Be honoring your father and mother.'" ²⁰ Now he averred to Him, "Teacher, all these I maintain from my youth." ²¹ Now Jesus, looking at him, loves him, and said to him, "Still one thing you are wanting. Go. Whatever you have, sell, and be giving to the poor, and you will be having treasure in heaven. And hither! Follow Me, picking up the cross." ²² Yet he, being somber at the word, came away sorrowing, for he was one who has many acquisitions." ²³ And, looking about, Jesus is saying to His disciples, "How squeamishly shall those who have money be entering into the kingdom of God!" ²⁴ Now the disciples were awe-struck at His words. Yet Jesus, again answering, is saying to them, "Children, how squeamish it is for those who have confidence in money to be entering into the kingdom of God!" ²⁵ Easier is it for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to be entering into the kingdom of God." ²⁶ Now they were exceedingly astonished, saying to Him, "And who can be saved? ²⁷ Now, looking at them, Jesus is saying, "With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all is possible with God." ²⁸ Peter begins to say to Him, "Lo! we leave all and follow Thee! What, consequently, will it be to us? ²⁹ Jesus averred to him, "Verily, I am saying to you that there is no one who leaves a house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or fields, on My account and on account of the evangel, ³⁰ who should not be getting back a hundredfold now, in this era, houses and brothers and sisters and mother and father and children and fields, with persecutions, and in the coming eon, life eonian." ³¹ Yet many of the first shall be last, and the last first."

⁴⁶ Now why are you calling Me 'Lord,' and are not doing what I am saying?

²⁵ And lo! a certain lawyer rose, putting Him on trial, and saying, "Teacher, by doing what should I enjoy the allotment of life eonian? ²⁶ Now He said to him, "What is written in the law? How are you reading? ²⁷ Now he, answering, said, "You shall be loving the Lord your God out of your whole heart, and with your whole soul, and with your whole strength, and with your whole comprehension, and 'your associate as yourself.'" ²⁸ Now He said to him, "Correctly have you answered. This be doing and you shall be living."

¹³ You are shouting to Me 'Teacher!' and 'Lord!' and you are saying ideally, for I am." ¹⁴ If, then, I, the Lord and the Teacher, wash your feet, you also ought to be washing one another's feet." ¹⁵ For an example have I given you, that, according as I do to you, you also may be doing."

³⁰ and, preceding them out, averred, "Masters, what must I be doing that I may be saved?

⁴ Who can bring what is clean from the unclean? No one.

¹⁴ What is a mortal that he should be purged, Or that one born of a woman should be justified? ¹⁵ If even on His holy ones, He puts no reliance, And the heavens are not purged in His eyes, ¹⁶ How much less man, Who is abhorrent and spoiled, Who is drinking iniquity like water.

³⁵ And answering, the messenger said to her, "Holy spirit shall be coming on you, and the power of the Most High shall be overshadowing you; wherefore also the holy One Who is being generated shall be called the Son of God."

¹⁶ And avowedly great is the secret of devoutness, which was manifested in flesh, justified in spirit, seen by messengers, heralded among the nations, believed in the world, taken up in glory."

²⁶ For such a Chief Priest also became us, benign, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and coming to be higher than those of the heavens,

¹⁷ All good giving and every perfect gratuity is from above, descending from the Father of lights, in Whom there is no mutation or shadow from revolving motion."

¹² Glorify your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged on the ground which Yahweh your Elohim is giving to you. ¹³ You shall not murder. ¹⁴ You shall not commit adultery. ¹⁵ You shall not steal. ¹⁶ You shall not answer against your associate with false testimony. ¹⁷ You shall not covet the house of your associate. You shall not covet the wife of your associate, his field, his servant or his maidservant, his bull, his donkey or anything which is your associate's.

¹⁶ Glorify your father and your mother, just as Yahweh your Elohim had instructed you, that your days may be prolonged and that it may be well with you on the ground which Yahweh your Elohim is giving to you. ¹⁷ You shall not murder. ¹⁸ You shall not commit adultery. ¹⁹ You shall not steal. ²⁰ You shall not answer against your associate with false testimony. ²¹ You shall not covet the wife of your associate. You shall not lust after the house of your associate, his field, his servant or his maidservant, his bull, his donkey or anything which is your associate's.

²⁰ To the law and to the testimony! If they are not speaking according to this word, there is no bribe for them"

¹⁷ Yet He said to him, "Why are you asking Me concerning good? One is good. Yet if you are wanting to be entering into life, keep the precepts." ¹⁸ He is saying to Him, "Which?Now Jesus said, "These: 'You shall not be murdering.' 'You shall not be committing adultery.' 'You shall not be stealing.' 'You shall not be testifying falsely.'" ¹⁹ Be honoring father and mother,' and 'You shall be loving your associate as yourself.'"

¹⁸ Now Jesus said to him, "Why are you terming Me good? No one is good except One, God." ¹⁹ With the precepts you are acquainted: You should not be murdering. You should not be committing adultery. You should not be stealing. You should not be testifying falsely. You should not be cheating. 'Be honoring your father and mother.'"

⁷ What, then, shall we declare? That the law is sin? May it not be coming to that! But sin I knew not except through law. For besides, I had not been aware of coveting except the law said, "You shall not be coveting." ⁸ Now Sin, getting an incentive through the precept, produces in me all manner of coveting. For apart from law Sin is dead." ⁹ Now I lived, apart from law, once, yet at the coming of the precept Sin revives. Yet I died, ¹⁰ and it was found that, to me, the precept for life, this is for death." ¹¹ For Sin, getting an incentive through the precept, deludes me, and through it, kills me."

⁹ For this: "You shall not commit adultery,you shall not murder,you shall not steal,you shall not testify falsely,you shall not covet,and if there is any other precept, it is summed up in this saying, in this: "You shall love your associate as yourself."

¹⁰ For whoever are of works of law are under a curse, for it written that, Accursed is everyone who is not remaining in all things written in the scroll of the law to do them." ¹¹ Now that in law no one is being justified with God is evident, for the just one by faith shall be living." ¹² Now the law is not of faith, but who does them "shall be living in them." ¹³ Christ reclaims us from the curse of the law, becoming a curse for our sakes, for it is written, Accursed is everyone hanging on a pole,

² Honor your father and mother' (which is the first precept with a promise),

²⁰ Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing in the Lord."

⁸ Howbeit, if you are discharging the royal law, according to the scripture, "You shall be loving your associate as yourself,you are doing ideally." ⁹ Yet if you are showing partiality, you are working sin, being exposed by the law as transgressors." ¹⁰ For anyone who should be keeping the whole law, yet should be tripping in one thing, has become liable for all." ¹¹ For He Who is saying, You should not be committing adultery, said, You should not be murdering, also. Now if you are not committing adultery, yet are murdering, you have become a transgressor of law."

²⁰ The youth is saying to Him, "These all I maintain. In what am I still deficient? ²¹ Jesus averred to him, "If you are wanting to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and be giving to the poor, and you will be having treasure in the heavens. And hither! Follow Me."

²⁰ Now he averred to Him, "Teacher, all these I maintain from my youth." ²¹ Now Jesus, looking at him, loves him, and said to him, "Still one thing you are wanting. Go. Whatever you have, sell, and be giving to the poor, and you will be having treasure in heaven. And hither! Follow Me, picking up the cross."

⁷ I am saying to you that thus there will be joy in heaven over one sinner repenting, more than over the ninety-nine just persons who have no need of repentance."

²⁹ Now he, answering, said to his father, 'Lo! so many years am I slaving for you, and I never passed by your precept, and you never give me a kid that I may make merry with my friends."

¹¹ The Pharisee, standing, prayed this to himself: 'God, I am thanking you that I am not even as the rest of men, rapacious, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tribute collector." ¹² I am fasting twice of a sabbath. I am taking tithes from all whatever I am acquiring.'

⁴ One thing I have asked from Yahweh-- Only it am I seeking:That I may dwell in the House of Yahweh all the days of my life, To perceive the pleasantness of Yahweh, And to make my quest in His Temple."

¹⁹ Do not hoard for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and corrosion are causing them to disappear, and where thieves are tunneling and stealing." ²⁰ Yet hoard for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor corrosion are causing them to disappear, and where thieves are not tunneling nor stealing;"

²¹ Jesus averred to him, "If you are wanting to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and be giving to the poor, and you will be having treasure in the heavens. And hither! Follow Me."

²⁷ Then, answering, Peter said to Him, "Lo! we leave all and follow Thee. What, consequently, will it be to us? ²⁸ Yet Jesus said to them, "Verily, I am saying to you, that you who follow Me, in the renascence whenever the Son of Mankind should be seated on the throne of His glory, you also shall sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."

²³ Now He said to all, "If anyone is wanting to come after Me, let him disown himself and pick up his cross daily and follow Me."

⁵⁷ And at their going in the road, someone said to Him, "I will be following Thee wheresoever Thou mayest be coming away, Lord!" ⁵⁸ And Jesus said to him, "The jackals have burrows and the flying creatures of heaven roosts, yet the Son of Mankind has no where that He may be reclining His head." ⁵⁹ Now He said to a different one, "Follow Me!Yet he said, "Lord, permit me first to come away to entomb my father." ⁶⁰ Yet He said to him, "Let the dead entomb their own dead. Yet you, coming away, publish the kingdom of God." ⁶¹ Now a different one also said, "I shall be following Thee, Lord! Yet first permit me to take leave of those in my home." ⁶² Yet Jesus said to him, "No one, putting forth his hand on a plow and looking behind, is fit in the kingdom of God."

⁴² Yet of few is there need, or of one. For Mary chooses the good part which shall not be wrested from her."

³³ Sell your possessions and give alms. Make yourselves purses which do not age, a treasure which does not default, in the heavens where a thief is not nearing, neither moth is causing decay."

⁹ And am I saying to you, Make for yourselves friends with the mammon of injustice, that, whenever it may be defaulting, they should be receiving you into the eonian tabernacles?

⁴⁴ Now all those who believe also were in the same place and had all things in common. ⁴⁵ And they disposed of the acquisitions and the properties, and divided them to all, forasmuch as some would have had need."

³⁴ for neither was there any indigent among them, for whoever belonged to the acquirers of freeholds or of houses, selling these, they brought the price of that which is being disposed of, ³⁵ and placed it at the feet of the apostles. Now it was distributed to each, forasmuch as some would have had need." ³⁶ Now Joseph, who by the apostles is surnamed "Barnabas(which is, being construed, "Son of Consolation"), a Levite, a native Cyprian, ³⁷ selling a field belonging to him, brings the money and places it at the feet of the apostles."

¹³ Brethren, not as yet am I reckoning myself to have grasped, yet one thing - forgetting, indeed, those things which are behind, yet stretching out to those in front - "

¹⁸ to be doing good acts, to be rich in ideal acts, to be liberal contributors, ¹⁹ treasuring up for themselves an ideal foundation for that which is impending, that they may get hold of life really."

⁸ Now of this one thing you are not to be oblivious, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day."

²³ and call unto the sons of Dan, and they turn round their faces, and say to Micah, `What--to you that you have been called together?. <sup>24</sup> And he said, `My elohims which I made you have taken, and the priest, and you go; and what to me more? and what [is] this you say unto me, What--to you!.

²⁴ If I have made gold my confidence, And I have said to pure gold:My trust, ²⁵ If I have rejoiced that my estate is vast And that my hand has found abundance,

²² Now, hearing this word, the youth came away sorrowing, for he had many acquisitions."

²² Yet he, being somber at the word, came away sorrowing, for he was one who has many acquisitions."

¹⁴ Now that falling among the thorns, these are those who hear and, by worries and riches, and by the gratifications of life, going on, stifle, and are bringing nothing to maturity."

¹⁵ Now He said to them, "See and guard against all greed, for one's life is not in the superfluity of his possessions."

⁸ Now standing, Zaccheus said to the Lord, "Lo! the half of my possessions, Lord, I am giving to the poor! And if from anyone I get anything by blackmail, I am giving back fourfold."

³⁴ Now take heed to yourselves, lest at some time your hearts should be burdened with crapulence and drunkenness and the worries of life's affairs, and that day may be standing by you unawares,

⁵ For this you perceive, knowing that no paramour at all or unclean or greedy person, who is an idolater, has any enjoyment of the allotment in the kingdom of Christ and of God."

⁸ But, to be sure, I am also deeming all to be a forfeit because of the superiority of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, my Lord, because of Whom I forfeited all, and am deeming it to be refuse, that I should be gaining Christ,

⁵ Deaden, then, your members that are on the earth: prostitution, uncleanness, passion, evil desire and greed, which is idolatry,

¹⁵ Be not loving the world, neither that which is in the world. If ever anyone is loving the world, the love of the Father is not in him,

¹⁰ When it comes to be that Yahweh your Elohim brings you into the land about which He had sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob, to give to you great and good cities which you did not build, ¹¹ and houses full of all good things which you did not fill, and hewn cisterns which you did not hew, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant, so that you will eat and be satisfied, ¹² then guard yourself, lest you should forget Yahweh your Elohim Who brought you forth from the country of Egypt, from the house of servants.

¹¹ Guard yourself lest you should forget Yahweh your Elohim by failing to observe His instructions and His judgments and His statutes that I am enjoining on you today, ¹² lest, when you eat and are satisfied and build good houses and dwell in them, ¹³ and your herd and your flock multiply, and silver and gold increase for you, and all that is yours is abundant, ¹⁴ then your heart becomes exalted and you forget Yahweh your Elohim Who was bringing you forth from the country of Egypt, from the house of servants, ¹⁵ Who was causing you to go through the great and fear-inspiring wilderness with burning serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground in which there is no water, Who was bringing forth for you water from the flinty rock, ¹⁶ Who was feeding you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers had not known, that He might make you humble and that He might probe you, to do you good in your latter days. ¹⁷ Guard yourself lest you say in your heart:My vigor and the staunchness of my hand make for me this great estate.

³ For the wicked one boasts over the lusting of his soul, And the greedy one scorns, Yea, he spurns Yahweh.

⁵ They are not involved in the toil of a mortal, And they are not touched by ills with humanity." ⁶ Wherefore pride is their necklace; Violence is draping about them like a burnoose. ⁷ Their eye protrudes from fat; Vain fancies pass through their heart. ⁸ They belittle and speak with evil intent; From their height they are plotting extortion. ⁹ They set their mouth in the heavens, And their tongue is going about the earth." ¹⁰ Wherefore His people are turning away thither, And waters of intemperance are being wrung out by them." ¹¹ And they say, How can El know? And is there knowledge in the Supreme? ¹² Behold, these are the wicked! Even these at ease eonian, who make their estate huge."

²⁸ He who trusts in his riches, he himself shall fall, Yet the righteous shall bud like a leaf."

¹¹ The rich man's wealth is his strong town, And in his fancy it is like an impregnable wall."

⁹ Lest I should be surfeited So that I disavow You and say, Who is Yahweh? Or lest I be destitute and steal, So that I denigrate the name of my El."

³¹ O generation, see you the word of Yahweh:A wilderness have I been to Israel? A land of thick darkness? Wherefore have My people said, `We mourned, We come not in again unto You.'"

⁵ I get me to the great, and I speak with them, For they have known the way of Yahweh, The judgment of their Elohim.' Surely they together have broken the yoke, They have drawn away the bands."

²³ Now Jesus said to His disciples, "Verily, I am saying to you that the rich squeamishly will be entering into the kingdom of the heavens." ²⁴ Yet again, I am saying to you that it is easier for a camel to be entering through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to be entering into the kingdom of God." ²⁵ Now, hearing it, the disciples were tremendously astonished, saying, "Who, consequently, can be saved?

²⁶ And the king, becoming sorrow-stricken, because of the oaths and those lying back at table with him, does not want to repudiate her."

²³ And, looking about, Jesus is saying to His disciples, "How squeamishly shall those who have money be entering into the kingdom of God!" ²⁴ Now the disciples were awe-struck at His words. Yet Jesus, again answering, is saying to them, "Children, how squeamish it is for those who have confidence in money to be entering into the kingdom of God!" ²⁵ Easier is it for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to be entering into the kingdom of God." ²⁶ Now they were exceedingly astonished, saying to Him, "And who can be saved? ²⁷ Now, looking at them, Jesus is saying, "With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all is possible with God."

²⁶ For you are observing your calling, brethren, that there are not many wise according to the flesh; not many powerful, not many noble, ²⁷ but the stupidity of the world God chooses, that He may be disgracing the wise, and the weakness of the world God chooses, that He may be disgracing the strong,

⁹ Now I am rejoicing, not that you were made sorry, but that you were made sorry to repentance. For you were made sorry according to God, that in nothing you may suffer forfeit by us." ¹⁰ For sorrow according to God is producing repentance for unregretted salvation, yet the sorrow of the world is producing death."

⁹ Now, those intending to be rich are falling into a trial and a trap and the many foolish and harmful desires which are swamping men in extermination and destruction." ¹⁰ For a root of all of the evils is the fondness for money, which some, craving, were led astray from the faith and try themselves on all sides with much pain."

⁵ Hear, my beloved brethren! Does not God choose the poor in the world, rich in faith and enjoyers of the allotment of the kingdom which He promises to those who are loving Him? ⁶ Yet you dishonor the poor one. Are not the rich tyrannizing over you? And they are drawing you to tribunals. ⁷ Are not they blaspheming the ideal name which is being invoked over you?

¹ Come now, you rich, lament, howling for your wretchedness which is coming on you! " ² Your riches have rotted and your garments have become food for moths. ³ Your gold and silver corrode and their venom will be for a testimony against you, and the venom will be eating your flesh as fire. You hoard in the last days." ⁴ Lo! the wage of the workers, who mow your country places, which has been withheld by you, is crying, and the imploring of the reapers has entered into the ears of the Lord of hosts." ⁵ You luxuriate on the earth, and squander. You nourish your hearts as in a day of slaughter." ⁶ You convict, you murder the just; he is not resisting you."

²⁴ Blind guides! straining out a gnat, yet swallowing a camel!"

²³ Now someone said to Him, "Lord, are few being saved?Now He said to them, "

¹⁴ Is it a matter too marvelous for Yahweh Elohim? At the appointed time will I return to you according to the season of life, and Sarah has a son.

² I know that You can do all things, And no plan of Yours can be thwarted.

¹⁷ `Ah, Lord Yahweh, lo, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power, and by Your stretched-out arm; there is nothing too wonderful for You:"

³⁵ All abiding on the earth are reckoned as naught:According to His will is He doing in the army of the heavens and with those abiding on the earth. And no one will actually clap with his hands and say to Him, "What doest Thou?

⁶ Thus says Yahweh of hosts:In case it is marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, in My eyes, moreover, shall it be marvelous, (averring is Yahweh of hosts)."

²⁶ Now, looking at them, Jesus said to them, "With men this is impossible, yet with God all is possible."

³⁷ seeing that it will not be impossible with God to fulfill His every declaration."

¹⁹ and what the transcendent greatness of His power for us who are believing, in accord with the operation of the might of His strength, ²⁰ which is operative in the Christ, rousing Him from among the dead and seating Him at His right hand among the celestials,

⁴ yet God, being rich in mercy, because of His vast love with which He loves us" ⁵ (we also being dead to the offenses and the lusts), vivifies us together in Christ (in grace are you saved!)" ⁶ and rouses us together and seats us together among the celestials, in Christ Jesus, ⁷ that, in the oncoming eons, He should be displaying the transcendent riches of His grace in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus." ⁸ For in grace, through faith, are you saved, and this is not out of you; it is God's approach present, ⁹ not of works, lest anyone should be boasting." ¹⁰ For His achievement are we, being created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God makes ready beforehand, that we should be walking in them."

¹⁹ And He is saying to them, "Hither! After Me, and I will be making you fishers of men!" ²⁰ Now immediately leaving the nets, they follow Him. ²¹ And, advancing thence, He perceived two others, brothers, James of Zebedee and John, his brother, in the ship with Zebedee, their father, adjusting their nets. And He calls them. ²² Now, immediately leaving the ship and their father, they follow Him.

⁹ And Jesus, passing by thence, perceived a man termed Matthew sitting at the tribute office, and He is saying to him, "Follow Me!And, rising, he follows Him."

²⁷ Then, answering, Peter said to Him, "Lo! we leave all and follow Thee. What, consequently, will it be to us?

²⁸ Peter begins to say to Him, "Lo! we leave all and follow Thee! What, consequently, will it be to us?

¹¹ And bringing the ships onto the land, leaving all, they follow Him."

⁷ But things which were gain to me, these I have deemed a forfeit because of Christ."

⁹ the one saying of his father and of his mother:I do not see them, and he neither recognized his brothers, nor did he know his sons. For they observed Your sayings and preserved Your covenant.

³⁷ He who is fond of father or mother above Me is not worthy of Me. And he who is fond of son or daughter above Me is not worthy of Me." ³⁸ And he who is not taking his cross and following after Me is not worthy of Me. ³⁹ He who is finding his soul will be destroying it, and he who destroys his soul on My account will be finding it."

²⁶ If anyone is coming to Me and is not hating his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, and still more his soul besides, he can not be My disciple." ²⁷ And anyone who is not bearing his cross and coming after Me, can not be My disciple. " ²⁸ For which of you, wanting to build a tower, is not first seated to calculate the expense, to see if he has the wherewithal?-"

¹⁰ Then Yahweh Himself turned back the captivity of Job when he prayed on behalf of his associates. And Yahweh added to all that Job had by a double portion.

¹⁶ Better are a few who are for the righteous one Than a throng of many wicked ones.

⁴ So shall I bless You in all my life. In Your Name shall I lift up my palms, ⁵ As with fatness and richness my soul shall be satisfied, And with jubilant lips my mouth shall praise."

¹⁰ For better is a day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would choose to sweep in the House of my Elohim, Rather than abide in the tents of wickedness." ¹¹ For Sun and Shield is Yahweh Elohim; Grace and glory does Yahweh bestow; He does not withhold good from those walking with integrity. ¹² O Yahweh of hosts, Happy is the human trusting in You. {Permanent{ "

⁷² Better to me is the law of Your mouth Than thousands of gold and silver.

¹⁰³ How savory are Your promises to my palate, Better than honey to my mouth!"

¹¹¹ I am allotted Your testimonies for the eon; Indeed they are the elation of my heart.

¹²⁷ Therefore I love Your instructions More than gold, even than glittering gold."

¹⁶² I am elated over Your promise Like one finding much loot.

³² And whosoever may be saying a word against the Son of Mankind, it will be pardoned him, yet whoever may be saying aught against the holy spirit, it shall not be pardoned him, neither in this eon nor in that which is impending."

³¹ However, be seeking the kingdom of God, and all these things will be added to you." ³² Do not fear, little flocklet, for it delights your Father to give you the kingdom."

²¹ What fruit, then, had you then? - of which you are now ashamed, for, indeed, the consummation of those things is death." ²² Yet, now, being freed from Sin, yet enslaved to God, you have your fruit for holiness. Now the consummation is life eonian." ²³ For the ration of Sin is death, yet the gracious gift of God is life eonian, in Christ Jesus, our Lord."

⁶ Now devoutness with contentment is great capital;

⁵ May fondness for money not be your manner, being sufficed with what is present, for He has declared: Under no circumstances may I be lax regarding you, Neither by any means may I be forsaking you." ⁶ So that we have courage to say, "The Lord is my Helper, and I shall not be afraid of what man shall be doing to me!"

¹⁰ Fear nothing that you are about to be suffering. Lo! the Adversary is about to be casting some of you into jail that you may be tried, and you will be having affliction ten days. Become faithful until death, and I shall be giving you the wreath of life."

¹⁷ '"Who has an ear, let him hear what the spirit is saying to the ecclesias. "'"To the one who is conquering, to him will I be giving of the hidden manna, and I shall be giving him a white pebble and on the pebble a new name written, of which no one is aware except the one who is obtaining it."'"

²¹ '"The one who is conquering, to him will I be granting to be seated with Me on My throne as I, also, conquer, and am seated with My Father on His throne."

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ My El! My El! Why have You forsaken me? And he who did not keep his soul alive--" ³⁰ His seed shall serve Him; It shall be recounted about Yahweh To the generation that is coming. ³¹ And they shall tell of His righteousness To a people about to be born. Declaring that He has done this.

¹ {Davidic{ Save me, O Elohim, for waters come unto my soul!" ² I sink in the mire of a swamp, and there is no standing ground. I come into deep waters, and the surge engulfs me." ³ I am weary with all my calling; my throat is parched. My eyes have failed, waiting for my Elohim." ⁴ Multiplied more than the hairs of my head are those hating me gratuitously; Plentiful are those seeking to efface me, my enemies, dealing falsely. Must I restore then what I have not pillaged? ⁵ O Elohim, You know my folly, And my guilty acts are not suppressed from You." ⁶ Let not those expecting You be put to shame through me, O my Lord, Yahweh of hosts! Let not those seeking You be mortified through me, O Elohim of Israel!" ⁷ For on Your account I bear reproach; Mortification covers my face. ⁸ I have become an alien to my brothers And a foreigner to the sons of my mother. ⁹ For the zeal of Your House, it devours me, And the reproaches of those reproaching You, they fall on me." ¹⁰ When I lament by the fasting of my soul, It becomes a reproach against me;" ¹¹ When I make my clothing of sackcloth, I become a proverb to them." ¹² Those sitting in the gateway are mulling over me, And those drinking intoxicants make me the accompaniment of their songs." ¹³ As for me, my prayer is to You, O Yahweh, for a season acceptable. O Elohim, in Your great benignity, answer me with the faithfulness of Your salvation." ¹⁴ Rescue me from the mud, and let me not sink; Let me be rescued from those hating me, and from the depths of the waters." ¹⁵ Let not the surge of the water be engulfing me, Let not the swamp be swallowing me up, And let not the well be blocking off its mouth over me." ¹⁶ Answer me, O Yahweh, for Your benignity is good; Turn toward me according to Your many compassions." ¹⁷ Do not conceal Your face from Your servant, For distress is mine; quickly answer me." ¹⁸ Come near to my soul and redeem it; On account of my enemies, ransom me." ¹⁹ You Yourself know my reproach and my shame and my mortification; In front of You are all my foes. ²⁰ Reproach has broken my heart, and I do feel my mortality; I expect one to sympathize, and there is none, And look for comforters, yet I find not one." ²¹ They give me poison in my repast, And for my thirst they cause me to drink vinegar." ²² Let their table become a trap before them, And a repayment and a snare." ²³ Let their eyes be darkened, kept from seeing, And let their waist be bowed low continually." ²⁴ Pour out Your indignation upon them, And let Your hot anger overtake them." ²⁵ Let their domicile become desolate; Let no one be dwelling in their tents. ²⁶ As for You, they persecute those whom You have smitten, And they are recounting the pain of those wounded by You." ²⁷ Do bestow depravity on their depravity, And let them not come into Your righteousness." ²⁸ Let them be wiped out from the scroll of life, And let them not be written with the righteous." ²⁹ I am humbled and pained. Your salvation, O Elohim--may it make me impregnable." ³⁰ I will praise the Name of Elohim with a song, And I shall magnify Him with acclamation." ³¹ It shall be better to Yahweh than an ox Or a young bull, horned and hoofed." ³² The humbled will see, and they shall rejoice. All those seeking after Elohim, let your heart revive." ³³ For Yahweh is hearkening to the needy, And He does not despise His prisoners." ³⁴ Let the heavens and the earth praise Him, The seas and all moving about in them." ³⁵ For Elohim shall save Zion And shall rebuild the cities of Judah. Then they will dwell there and tenant it, ³⁶ And to the seed of His servants shall they allot it, And those loving His Name shall tabernacle in it. {Permanent{ "

¹ Who believes our report? And the arm of Yahweh--to whom is it revealed? ² And He is coming up as a layer-plant before Him, and as a root sprout from earth that is arid. No shape has He nor honor when we shall see Him, and no appearance nor loveliness that we will covet Him." ³ Despised is He, and shunned by men, a man of pains and knowing illness. And, as One concealing His face from us, despised is He, and we judge Him of no account." ⁴ Surely our illnesses has He borne, and our pains--He was burdened with them. Yet we account Him touched, smitten by the Elohim and humbled." ⁵ Yet He was wounded because of our transgressions, and crushed because of our depravities. The discipline for our welfare was on Him, and by His welts there is healing for us." ⁶ All of us, as a flockling, have strayed; each man to his own way, we face, yet Yahweh, in Him, intercedes because of all our depravity." ⁷ Hard pressed is He and being humbled, yet He is not opening His mouth. As a flockling to slaughter is He fetched, and as a ewe before her shearers is mute, so He is not opening His mouth." ⁸ From restraint and from judgment is He taken, and on His generation, who shall meditate? For He was severed from the land of the living; because of the transgression of My people was He touched by death." ⁹ And He is given His tomb with the wicked, a cave from the rich, in His death. For He does no wrong, and no deceit is in His mouth, ¹⁰ yet Yahweh desires to crush Him, and He causes Him to be wounded. Should you place His soul for a guilt approach, He shall see a seed. He shall lengthen His days, and the desire of Yahweh shall prosper in His hand." ¹¹ From the toil of His soul shall He see light. And He shall be satisfied by His knowledge. My righteous Servant shall justify many, and with their depravities shall He be burdened." ¹² Therefore I will apportion to Him among many, and to the staunch will He apportion the loot, insomuch that He gives up His soul unto death, and with transgressors was counted; and He bore the sin of many, and for transgressors is making intercession."

²⁶ After the sixty-two sevens, Messiah will be cut off, and there is no adjudication for Him. The city and the holy place shall be laid in ruins with the other governor's coming; then its end is by an overflow, and till the end of the war desolations will be decided."

⁷ O sword! rouse against My Shepherd, and against the Master, My Companion, (averring is Yahweh of hosts). Smite the Shepherd, and the flock is scattering. And I restore My hand on the inferior shepherds."

²¹ Thenceforth begins Jesus to show His disciples that He must be coming away into Jerusalem and to be suffering much from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and the third day to be roused."

²² Now at their conspiring in Galilee, Jesus said to them, "The Son of Mankind is about to be given up into the hands of men, ²³ and they will be killing Him, and the third day He will be roused.And they were tremendously sorry."

¹⁷ Now Jesus, being about to go up into Jerusalem, took aside the twelve disciples privately. And on the road He said to them:" ¹⁸ Lo! we are going up into Jerusalem, and the Son of Mankind will be given up to the chief priests and scribes, and they will be condemning Him to death." ¹⁹ And they will be giving Him up to the nations, to scoff at and scourge and crucify. And the third day He will be roused."

⁹ Now those eating were about four thousand. And He dismisses them.

³⁰ And He warns them, that they may be telling no one about Him." ³¹ And He begins to teach them that the Son of Mankind must be suffering much and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be killed and after three days rise."

³² Now they were on the road, going up into Jerusalem, and Jesus was preceding them. And they were awe-struck, yet those following feared. And, again taking the twelve aside, He begins to tell them what is about to be befalling Him, ³³ Lo! we are going up into Jerusalem, and the Son of Mankind will be given up to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will be condemning Him to death, and will be giving Him up to the men of the nations, ³⁴ and will be scoffing at Him, and spitting on Him, and scourging Him, and killing Him, and after three days He will be rising."

²² saying that "The Son of Mankind must be suffering much, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be roused."

⁵¹ Now it occurred in the fulfillment of the days of His taking up, He fixes His face steadfastly to go to Jerusalem."

⁶ He is not here, but was roused. Be reminded how He speaks to you, being still in Galilee, ⁷ saying that 'The Son of Mankind must be given up into the hands of men, sinners, and be crucified, and the third day rise.'"

⁴⁴ Now He said to them, "These are My words, which I speak to you, still being with you, for all must be fulfilled that is written in the law of Moses and the prophets and psalms concerning Me." ⁴⁵ Then He opens up their mind to understand the scriptures, ⁴⁶ and said to them that "Thus it is written, and thus must the Christ be suffering and rise from among the dead the third day,

⁶ My body I give to smiters, and my cheeks to burnishers. My face I do not conceal from confoundings and spitting."

¹⁴ As many are desolated over you--so ruined more than man is His appearance, and His shape than the sons of Adam."

³ Despised is He, and shunned by men, a man of pains and knowing illness. And, as One concealing His face from us, despised is He, and we judge Him of no account."

¹ Now, you shall build yourself a stone dike, daughter of Ephraim; he will place a siege work against us. With a club they will smite the judge of Israel on the cheek."

⁶⁷ Then they spit into His face and buffet Him. Now they slap Him,

² And, binding Him, they led Him away, and give Him up to Pontius Pilate, the governor."

²⁸ and, stripping Him, they place a scarlet mantle about Him, ²⁹ and, braiding a wreath out of thorns, they place it on His head, and a reed in His right hand, and, falling on their knees in front of Him, they scoff at Him, saying, "Rejoice, king of the Jews!" ³⁰ And spitting on Him, they got the reed and beat Him on His head."

⁶⁵ And some begin to be spitting on Him and putting a covering about His face and buffeting Him and saying to Him, "Prophesy!And the deputies, with slaps, took Him."

¹ And straightway, in the morning, the chief priests with the elders and the scribes and the whole Sanhedrin hold a consultation. Binding Jesus, they carry Him away and give Him over to Pilate."

¹⁷ And they are dressing Him in purple, and, braiding a thorny wreath, they are placing it about Him." ¹⁸ And they begin to salute Him and say, "Rejoice! king of the Jews!" ¹⁹ And they beat His head with a reed and spat on Him and, kneeling, they worshiped Him." ²⁰ And when they scoff at Him, they strip Him of the purple and put on Him His own garments, and they are leading Him out that they should be crucifying Him."

⁶³ And the men who are pressing Jesus, scoffed at Him, lashing Him." ⁶⁴ And putting a covering about Him, they beat His face and inquired of Him, saying "Prophesy! Who is it that hits you? ⁶⁵ And many different things they said against Him, blaspheming."

¹ And rising, the entire multitude of them led Him to Pilate."

¹¹ Now, scorning Him and scoffing at Him, Herod, together with his troops, clothing Him in splendid attire, sends Him back to Pilate."

³⁵ And the people had stood, beholding. Now the chiefs also with them scouted, saying, "Others he saves! Let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, the Chosen One!"

²² Now at His saying these things, one of the deputies standing by gives Jesus a slap, saying, "Are you answering the chief priest thus?

²⁸ They are, then, leading Jesus from Caiaphas into the pretorium. Now it was morning, and they did not enter into the pretorium lest they may be defiled, but may be eating the passover."

³⁰ They answered and said to him, "If this man were doing no evil, we would not give him up to you."

³⁵ Pilate answered, "No Jew am I! Your nation and the chief priests give you up to me. What is it you do?

¹ Then Pilate took Jesus, then, and scourges Him." ² And the soldiers, braiding a wreath out of thorns, place it on His head, and with a purple cloak they clothed Him." ³ And they came to Him and said, "Rejoice! King of the Jews!and give Him slaps." ⁴ And Pilate came outside again, and is saying to them, "Lo! I am leading him outside to you, that you may know that not one fault am I finding in him." ⁵ Jesus, then, came outside, wearing the thorny wreath and the purple cloak. And he is saying to them, "Lo! the man!"

²³ This One, given up in the specific counsel and foreknowledge of God, you, gibbeting by the hand of the lawless, assassinate,

¹³ The God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorifies His Boy Jesus, Whom you, indeed, give up and disown before the face of Pilate, when he decides to release Him."

⁶³ saying, "Lord, we are reminded that that deceiver said while still living, 'After three days shall I be roused.'"

⁷ saying that 'The Son of Mankind must be given up into the hands of men, sinners, and be crucified, and the third day rise.'"

²¹ Yet we expected that He is the One about to be redeeming Israel. But surely, together with all these things also, it is leading in this third day since these things occurred."

³ For I give over to you among the first what also I accepted, that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, ⁴ and that He was entombed, and that He has been roused the third day according to the scriptures,

³² Yet they were ignorant of the declaration, and they feared to inquire of Him."

⁵⁰ And they do not understand the declaration which He speaks to them.

⁴⁵ Yet they were ignorant of this declaration, and it was screened from them, that they may not be sensing it, and they feared to ask Him concerning this declaration."

²⁵ And He said to them, "O foolish and tardy of heart to be believing on all which the prophets speak!"

⁴⁵ Then He opens up their mind to understand the scriptures,

⁶ Jesus told them this proverb, yet they know not what things they were that He spoke to them."

¹⁶ Now these things are not known to His disciples at first, but when Jesus is glorified, then they are reminded that these things were written of Him and these things they do to Him."

¹ These things have I spoken to you that you may not be snared, ² for they will be putting you out of the synagogues; but coming is the hour that everyone who is killing you should suppose he is offering divine service to God. ³ And these things will they be doing to you, for they know not the Father nor even Me." ⁴ But these things have I spoken to you that, whenever their hour may be coming, you may be remembering them, seeing that I told you. Now these things I did not tell you from the beginning, seeing that I was with you." ⁵ Yet now I am going away to Him Who sends Me, and not one of you is asking Me, 'Whither art Thou going?'" ⁶ But, seeing that I have spoken these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart." ⁷ But I am telling you the truth. It is expedient for you that I may be coming away, for if I should not be coming away, the consoler will not be coming to you." ⁸ Now if I should be gone, I will send him to you. And, coming, that will be exposing the world concerning sin and concerning righteousness and concerning judging:" ⁹ concerning sin, indeed, seeing that they are not believing in Me;" ¹⁰ yet concerning righteousness, seeing that I am going away to My Father, and no longer are you beholding Me;" ¹¹ yet concerning judging, seeing that the Chief of this world has been judged." ¹² Still much have I to say to you, but you are not able to bear it at present." ¹³ Yet whenever that may be coming - the spirit of truth -it will be guiding you into all the truth, for it will not be speaking from itself, but whatsoever it should be hearing will it be speaking, and of what is coming will it be informing you." ¹⁴ That will be glorifying Me, seeing that of Mine will it be getting, and informing you." ¹⁵ All, whatever the Father has, is Mine. Therefore I said to you that of Mine is it getting, and will be informing you." ¹⁶ A little, and no longer are you beholding Me; and again, a little, and you shall be seeing Me." ¹⁷ Some, then, of His disciples said to one another, "What is this that He is saying to us, 'A little, and you are not beholding Me, and again, a little, and you shall be seeing Me?' and that 'I am going away to the Father'? ¹⁸ They said, then, "What is this 'little' which He is saying? Not aware are we of what He is speaking." ¹⁹ Jesus, then, knew that they wanted to ask Him, and He said to them, "Concerning this are you seeking with one another that I said, 'A little, and you are not beholding Me, and again, a little, and you shall be seeing Me'?

⁸ He raises from the dust the poor, From a dunghill He lifts up the needy, To cause [them] to sit with nobles, Yea, a throne of honor He does cause them to inherit, For to Yahweh [are] the fixtures of earth, And He sets on them the habitable world.

²⁹ And at their going out from Jericho a vast throng follows Him. ³⁰ And lo! two blind men, sitting beside the road, hearing that Jesus is passing by, cry, saying, "Lord, be merciful to us! Son of David!" ³¹ Yet the throng rebukes them, that they should be silent. Yet they cry the louder, saying, "Lord, be merciful to us! Son of David!" ³² And, standing, Jesus summons them and said, "What are you wanting that I shall be doing to you? ³³ They are saying to Him, "Lord, that our eyes may be opened!" ³⁴ Now, having compassion, Jesus touches their eyes, and immediately they receive sight and follow Him."

⁴⁶ And they are coming into Jericho. And at His going out from Jericho, and His disciples and a considerable throng, the son of Timeus, Bar-Timeus, blind and a beggar, sat beside the road." ⁴⁷ And hearing that it is Jesus the Nazarene, he begins to cry and say, "Son of David! Jesus! Be merciful to me!" ⁴⁸ And many rebuked him, that he should be silent. Yet he, much rather, cried, "Son of David, be merciful to me!" ⁴⁹ And standing, Jesus said, "Summon him.And they are summoning the blind man, saying to him, "Courage! Rouse!" ⁵⁰ He is summoning you.Now he, casting off his cloak, springing up, came to Jesus." ⁵¹ And answering him, Jesus said, "What do you want I shall be doing to you?Now the blind man said to Him, "Rabboni, that I should be receiving sight!Now Jesus said to him, ⁵² Go. Your faith has saved you.And straightway he receives sight and followed Him on the road."

²⁰ Now there was a certain poor man named Lazarus, who had been cast at his portal, having ulcers, ²¹ and yearning to be satisfied from the scraps which are falling from the rich man's table. But the curs also, coming, licked his ulcers."

¹ And entering, He passed through Jericho."

⁸ The neighbors, then, and those beholding him formerly, (for he was a beggar) said, "Is not this the one who is sitting and begging?

² And a certain man, being inherently lame from his mother's womb, was borne, whom they placed day by day at the door of the sanctuary which is termed "Beautiful,to request alms from those going into the sanctuary,

¹⁰ And at His entering into Jerusalem, the entire city is aquake, saying, "Who is this? ¹¹ Yet the throngs said, "this is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee."

²⁶ And, calling one of the boys to him, he inquired to ascertain whatever this may be."

²³ And coming, he dwells in a city termed Nazareth, so that that may be fulfilled which is declared through the prophets that: A Nazarene shall He be called.

¹ And, entering again into Capernaum during these days, it is heard that He is in a house." ² And immediately many were gathered, so that by no means was there still room, not even at the door. And He spoke to them the word." ³ And they are coming, bringing to Him a paralytic being lifted by four."

⁵¹ And He descended with them and came into Nazareth, and was subject to them. And His mother carefully kept all these declarations, parleying them in her own heart."

⁴⁵ Philip is finding Nathanael and is saying to him, "Him of Whom Moses writes in the law and the prophets, have we found Jesus, a son of Joseph, from Nazareth."

³⁵ Jesus, then, said to them, "Still a little time the light is among you. Be walking while you have the light, lest the darkness may be overtaking you. And he who is walking in the darkness is not aware whither he is going." ³⁶ As you have the light, be believing in the light, that you may be becoming sons of light.These things Jesus speaks, and, coming away, He was hid from them."

¹⁹ Now Pilate writes a title also, and places it on the cross. Now it was written, "Jesus the Nazarene, the King of the Jews."

²² Men! Israelites! Hear these words: Jesus, the Nazarene, a Man demonstrated to be from God for you by powerful deeds and miracles and signs, which God does through Him in the midst of you, according as you yourselves are aware -"

¹⁰ let it be known to you all and to the entire people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ, the Nazarene, Whom you crucify, Whom God rouses from among the dead, in this name, this man stands by before you sound."

² For He is saying, "In a season acceptable I reply to you, And in a day of salvation I help you.Lo! Now is a most acceptable era! Lo! Now is a day of salvation!"

¹² And to You, O Yahweh belongs benignity, For You Yourself shall pay each man according to his deeds."

⁶ For a Boy is born to us; a Son is given to us, and the chieftainship shall come to be on His shoulder, and His name is called "Marvelous.Counsel to the master shall He bring, to the chief of the future, welfare." ⁷ To the increase of the chieftainship, and to the welfare shall be no end. On the throne of David, and over his kingdom, to prepare it, and to brace it with judgment and with justice, henceforth and in the future eon. The zeal of Yahweh of hosts will do this."

¹ And a Twig shall fare forth from the set slip of Jesse, and a Scion from his roots shall be fruitful."

⁵ Lo, days are coming--an affirmation of Yahweh, And I have raised to David a righteous shoot, And a king has reigned and acted wisely, And done judgment and righteousness in the earth."

²⁷ And as Jesus is passing by thence, two blind men follow Him, clamoring and saying, "Be merciful to us, Son of David!"

²³ And amazed are all the throngs, and they said, "Is not this the Son of David?

²² And lo! a Canaanitish woman, coming out from those boundaries, cried, saying, "Be merciful to me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is evilly demonized."

⁹ Now the throngs preceding and following Him cried, saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David! 'Blessed be He Who is coming in the name of the Lord!' Hosanna among the highest!"

¹⁵ Now the chief priests and the scribes, perceiving the marvels which He does, and the boys crying in the sanctuary and saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David!resent it,

⁴² saying, "What are you supposing concerning the Christ? Whose Son is He? ⁴³ He is saying to them, "How, then, is David, in spirit, calling Him Lord, saying, ⁴⁴ Said the Lord to my Lord, 'Sit at My right, Till I should be placing Thine enemies underneath "Thy feet!"'? ⁴⁵ If, then, David is calling Him Lord, how is He his Son?

³ concerning His Son (Who comes of the seed of David according to the flesh,

¹⁶ I, Jesus, send My messenger to testify these things to you in the ecclesias. I am the root and the race of David, the resplendent morning star."

²⁶ And saying is He to him, "Send Me away, for the dawn ascends.And saying is he, "Not letting You go am I save You bless me. ²⁷ And saying is He to him, "What is your name?And saying is he, "Jacob. ²⁸ And saying is He to him, "Not Jacob shall your name be called longer, but rather Israel is your name. For upright are you with the Elohim and with mortals, and are prevailing.

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ O Yahweh, I call on You; do hurry to me; Do give ear to my voice when I call on You."

¹² `And you have called Me, and have gone, and have prayed unto Me, and I have hearkened unto you, ¹³ And you have sought Me, and have found, for you seek Me with all your heart;"

⁷ Request and it shall be given you. Seek and you shall find. Knock and it shall be opened to you."

⁴⁰ And He is coming to the disciples and is finding them drowsing. And He is saying to Peter, "Is it thus: you are not strong enough to watch one hour with Me? ⁴¹ Watch and pray, lest you may be entering into trial. The spirit, indeed, is eager; yet the flesh is infirm." ⁴² Again, coming away a second time, He prays, saying, "My Father, if this can not pass by from Me if I should not drink it, let Thy will be done!" ⁴³ And, coming again, He found them drowsing, for the eyes were heavy." ⁴⁴ And, leaving them, again coming away, He prays a third time, saying the same word."

⁴⁹ While He is still speaking, someone from the chief of the synagogue's house is coming, saying to him that "Your daughter is dead. By no means bother the teacher any longer."

⁸ I am saying to you, even if he will not rise to give to him because of his being his friend, surely because of his pestering, being roused, he will be giving him whatever he needs." ⁹ And I to you am saying, Request, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you." ¹⁰ For everyone who is requesting is obtaining and who is seeking is finding, and to the one knocking it shall be opened."

⁵² Woe to you who are learned in the law! for you take away the key of knowledge-you yourselves do not enter, and those who are entering you prevent."

¹ Now He told them a parable also, so that they must always be praying and not be despondent,

¹⁵ Now they brought the babes also to Him, that He may be touching them. Now, perceiving it, the disciples rebuked them."

³⁸ And he implores, saying, "Jesus, Son of David, be merciful to me!"

³⁹ And some of the Pharisees from the throng say to Him, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!"

⁸ For this I entreat the Lord thrice, that it should withdraw from me. "

⁵ In Gibeon has Yahweh appeared unto Solomon, in a dream of the night, and Elohim said, `Ask--what do I give to you?. <sup>6</sup> And Solomon said, `You have done with Your servant David my father great kindness, as he walked before You in truth and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You, and You do keep for him this great kindness, and do give to him a son sitting on his throne, as [at] this day. ⁷ And now, O Yahweh my Elohim, You have caused your servant to reign instead of David my father; and I [am] a little child, I do not know to go out and to come in;" ⁸ and Your servant [is] in the midst of your people, whom You have chosen, a people numerous, that is not numbered nor counted for multitude, ⁹ and You have given to Your servant an understanding heart, to judge Your people, to discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this Your great people?. ¹⁰ And the thing is good in the eyes of the Lord, that Solomon has asked this thing, ¹¹ and Elohim said unto him, `Because that you have asked this thing, and have not asked for you many days, nor asked for you riches, nor asked the life of your enemies, and have asked for you discernment to understand judgment, ¹² lo, I have done according to your words; lo, I have given to you a heart, wise and understanding, that like you there has not been before you, and after you there does not arise like you;" ¹³ and also, that which you have not asked I have given to you, both riches and honor, that there has not been like you a man among the kings all your days;" ¹⁴ and if you do walk in My ways to keep My statutes, and My commands, as David your father walked, then I have prolonged your days.. ¹⁵ And Solomon awakes, and lo, a dream; and he comes in to Jerusalem, and stands before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and causes to ascend burnt-offerings, and makes peace-offerings. And he makes a banquet for all his servants,

²¹ Now He said to her, "What are you wanting?She is saying to Him, "Say that these, my two sons, should be seated, one at Thy right and one at Thy left, in Thy kingdom." ²² Now answering, Jesus said, "You are not aware what you are requesting. Are you able to be drinking the cup which I am about to be drinking?They are saying to Him, "We are able."

²⁵ Now, if we are expecting what we are not observing, we are awaiting it with endurance."

⁹ For He spoke, and it came to be; He enjoined, and it stood firm."

²⁰ He sent forth His word and healed them, And He provided escape from their graves."

³ And, stretching out His hand, He touches him, saying, "I am willing! Be cleansed!And immediately, cleansed is his leprosy."

²² Now Jesus, being turned and perceiving her, said, "Courage, daughter! Your faith has saved you.And saved was the woman from that hour."

²⁸ Then, answering, Jesus said to her, "O woman, great is your faith! Let it come to be with you as you are wanting.And healed was her daughter from that hour."

⁵⁰ Now He said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you. Go in peace."

⁴⁸ Now He said to her, "Courage, daughter! Your faith has saved you! Go in peace!"

¹⁹ And He said to him, "Rise, go. Your faith has saved you."

² O Yahweh my Elohim, I implored to You, And You healed me."

¹ {Davidic{ Bless Yahweh, O my soul, And all within me, bless His holy Name!" ² Bless Yahweh, O my soul, And do not forget any of His well-dealings, ³ Who is pardoning all your depravity, Who is healing all your ailments,

⁸ Let them acclaim Yahweh for His benignity And His marvelous works to the sons of humanity.

⁸ Yahweh, unclosing the eyes of the blind, Yahweh, making erect those who are bent down, Yahweh, loving those who are righteous,

¹⁸ And the deaf will hear, in that day, the words of a scroll, and from gloom, and from darkness, blind eyes shall see, ¹⁹ and the humble will continue to rejoice in Yahweh, and the needy of humanity will exult in the Holy One of Israel."

⁵ Then unclosed shall be the eyes of the blind, and the ears of the deaf shall be opened."

¹⁶ And I will conduct the blind in a way they do not know, and in tracks they do not know will I cause them to tread. I will convert darkness before them into light, and the perverse into straightness. These things I do for them,

⁷ everyone being called by My name. And for My glory I created him, I formed him. Indeed, I made him." ⁸ Bring forth the blind people with eyes, forsooth, and the deaf, that have their ears."

²¹ This people I have formed for Myself, and they shall relate My praise."

⁸ Now, on perceiving it, the throngs were afraid, and they glorify God, Who is giving such authority to men."

²⁸ Now on His coming into the house, the blind men come to Him. And Jesus is saying to them, "You are believing that I am able to do this?They are saying to Him, "Yes, Lord." ²⁹ Then He touches their eyes, saying, "According to your faith let it be with you." ³⁰ And opened were their eyes. And Jesus mutters to them, saying, "See! Let no one know!"

⁵ The blind are receiving sight, and the lame are walking; lepers are being cleansed, and the deaf are hearing, and the dead are being roused, and to the poor the evangel is being brought."

¹⁴ And the blind and lame came to Him in the sanctuary, and He cures them."

³⁹ And standing by over her, He rebukes the fever, and the fever leaves her. Now instantly, rising, she waited on them."

²⁶ And amazement took hold of all, and they glorified God, and are filled with fear, saying that "We perceived baffling things today!"

¹⁷ And at His saying these things, all those opposing Him were mortified, and the entire throng rejoiced at all the glorious things coming to be done by Him."

¹⁵ Now one of them, perceiving that he was healed, returns, glorifying God with a loud voice." ¹⁶ And he falls on his face at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan." ¹⁷ Now, answering, Jesus said, "Are not the ten cleansed? Yet where are the nine? ¹⁸ Were none found returning to give glory to God except this foreigner?

³⁷ Now at His already drawing near to the descent of the mount of Olives, the entire multitude of the disciples begins rejoicing, praising God with a loud voice concerning all the powerful deeds which they perceived,

⁵ Whenever I may be in the world, I am the Light of the world." ⁶ Saying these things, He spits on the ground and makes mud out of the spittle, and anoints the blind man on his eyes with the mud, ⁷ and said to him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam(which is being translated "Commissioned"). He came away, then, and washes, and came, observing. "

³⁹ And Jesus said, "For judgment came I into this world, that those who are not observing may be observing, and those observing may be becoming blind." ⁴⁰ And those of the Pharisees who are with Him hear these things, and they said to Him, "Not we also are blind?

²¹ Yet those who are menacing them release them, finding nothing how they should be chastening them, because of the people; for all glorified God for that which has occurred, "

¹⁸ Now, on hearing these things, they are quiet, and glorify God, saying, "Consequently, to the nations also God gives repentance unto life!"

¹⁸ to open their eyes, to turn them about from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God, for them to get a pardon of sins and an allotment among those who have been hallowed by faith that is in Me.'"

²⁴ And they glorified God in me.

¹⁰ whenever He may be coming to be glorified in His saints and to be marveled at in all who believe (seeing that our testimony to you was believed) in that day. ¹¹ For which we are always praying also concerning you, that our God should be counting you worthy of the calling, and should be fulfilling every delight of goodness and work of faith in power, ¹² so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, in accord with the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ."

⁹ Yet you are a chosen race, a "royal priesthood,a "holy nation,a procured people, so that you should be recounting the virtues of Him Who calls you out of darkness into His marvelous light,
