1 The beginning of the evangel of Jesus Christ, Son of God, 2 according as it is written in Isaiah the prophet, (Lo! I am dispatching My messenger before Thy face, who shall be constructing Thy road in front of Thee.):" 3 The voice of one imploring: 'In the wilderness make ready the road of the Lord! Straight...be making the highways'of Him!" 4 John the baptist came to be in the wilderness and is heralding a baptism of repentance for the pardon of sins. 5 And out to him went the entire province of Judea, and all the Jerusalemites, and they were baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins." 6 And John was dressed in camel's hair, and had a leather girdle about his loins, and was eating locusts and wild honey." 7 And he heralds, saying, "Coming, after me, is One stronger than I, the thong of Whose sandals I am not competent to stoop and loose." 8 I, indeed, baptize you in water, yet He shall be baptizing you in holy spirit." 9 And it occurred in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and is baptized in the Jordan by John." 10 And straightway, stepping up out of the water, He perceived the heavens rent, and the spirit, as a dove, descending and remaining on Him." 11 And a voice came out of the heavens, "Thou art My Son, the Beloved; in Thee I delight." 12 And straightway the spirit is ejecting Him into the wilderness. 13 And He was in the wilderness forty days, undergoing trial by Satan, and was with the wild beasts. And messengers waited on Him." 14 Now, after the giving up of John, Jesus came into Galilee, heralding the evangel of the kingdom of God, 15 saying that "Fulfilled is the era, and near is the kingdom of God! Repent, and believe in the evangel!" 16 And passing by, beside the sea of Galilee, He perceived Simon, and Andrew, the brother of Simon, purse netting with a purse net in the sea, for they were fishers." 17 And Jesus said to them, "Hither! After Me, and I will make you become fishers of men!" 18 And immediately, leaving their nets, they follow Him." 19 And advancing slightly, He perceived James of Zebedee and John, his brother, who also are in the ship, adjusting the nets." 20 And straightway He calls them. And, leaving their father Zebedee in the ship with the hirelings, they came away after Him." 21 And they are entering Capernaum. And immediately, on the sabbaths, entering the synagogue, He taught." 22 And they were astonished at His teaching, for He was teaching them as One having authority, and not as the scribes." 23 And straightway there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit, and he cries out, saying, 24 Ha! what is it to us and to you, Jesus the Nazarean! Did you come to destroy us? We are aware of you, who you are - the holy One of God!" 25 And Jesus rebukes him, saying, "Be still, and be coming out of him!" 26 And, convulsing him, the unclean spirit, shouting with a loud voice, came out of him." 27 And all were awed, so as to be discussing with themselves, saying, "What is this? Some new teaching is this, for with authority the unclean spirits also is He enjoining, and they are obeying Him!" 28 And straightway, the tidings of Him came out everywhere into the whole country about Galilee." 29 And straightway, coming out of the synagogue, they came into the home of Simon and Andrew, with James and John." 30 Now the mother-in-law of Simon was laid down with a fever. And straightway they are telling Him about her. 31 And approaching, He rouses her, holding her hand. And the fever leaves her immediately, and she waited on them." 32 Now evening coming on, when the sun sets, they brought to Him all those who have an illness and those who are demoniacs." 33 And the whole city was assembled at the door. 34 And He cures many who have an illness, those with various diseases; and many demons He cast out. And He did not let the demons speak, for they were aware that He is the Christ." 35 And in the morning, rising very early, still in the night, He came out and came away into a desolate place, and there He prayed." 36 And Simon and those with him trail Him. 37 And they found Him, and are saying to Him that "All are seeking Thee." 38 And He is saying to them, "We may be going elsewhere, into the next towns, that there also I should be heralding; for for this I came out." 39 And He came into their synagogues in the whole of Galilee, heralding and casting out demons." 40 And coming to Him is a leper, entreating Him, and falling on his knees and saying to Him, "Lord, if Thou shouldst be willing, Thou canst cleanse me!" 41 Now Jesus, having compassion, stretching out His hand, touches him, and is saying to him, "I am willing. Be cleansed!" 42 And at His saying this, straightway the leprosy came from him, and he is cleansed." 43 And muttering to him, straightway He cast him out, 44 and is saying to him, "See! you may be saying nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest, and bring for your cleansing what Moses bids, for a testimony to them." 45 Now he, coming out, begins heralding it much, and to blaze abroad the word, so that, by no means can He longer be manifestly entering into a city, but was outside in desolate places. To us was the word of this salvation dispatched." 27 For those dwelling in Jerusalem and their chiefs, being ignorant of Him and of the voices of the prophets which are read on every sabbath, fulfill them in judging Him." 28 And, finding not one cause of death, they request Pilate to have Him despatched." 29 Now as they accomplish all that which is written concerning Him, taking Him down from the pole, they place Him in a tomb." 30 Yet God rouses Him from among the dead: 31 Who was seen on more days by those who ascend with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now His witnesses to the people." 32 And we are bringing to you the evangel which comes to be a promise to the fathers, 33 that God has fully fulfilled this for our children in raising Jesus, as it is written in the second psalm also, 'My Son art Thou; I, today, have begotten Thee.'" 34 Now, seeing that He raises Him from among the dead, by no means longer about to return to decay, He has thus declared that, I shall be giving you the faithful benignities of David.'" 35 Wherefore, in a different place also, He is saying, 'Thou wilt not be giving Thy Benign One to be acquainted with decay.'" 36 For David, indeed, subserving his own generation by God's counsel, was put to repose, and was added to his fathers, and was acquainted with decay;" 37 yet He Whom God rouses was not acquainted with decay. 38 Let it then be known to you, men, brethren that through this One is being announced to you the pardon of sins, 39 and from all from which you could not be justified in the law of Moses, in this One everyone who is believing is being justified." 40 Beware then, that that which has been declared in the prophets may not be coming on you:" 41 Perceive, you despisers, and marvel, and disappear! for a work am I working in your days - a work which you should by no means be believing if anyone should be detailing it to you." 42 Now, at their being out, they entreated that these declarations be spoken to them on the intervening sabbath." 43 Now the synagogue having broken up, many of the Jews and the reverent proselytes follow Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, persuaded them to remain in the grace of God." 44 Now on the coming sabbath almost the entire city was gathered to hear the word of the Lord. 45 Yet the Jews, perceiving the throngs, are filled with jealousy, and they contradicted the things spoken by Paul, blaspheming." 46 Being bold, both Paul and Barnabas, say, "To you first was it necessary that the word of God be spoken. Yet, since, in fact, you are thrusting it away, and are judging yourselves not worthy of eonian life, lo! we are turning to the nations." 47 For thus the Lord has directed us: I have appointed Thee for a light of the nations; for Thee to be for salvation as far as the limits of the earth.'" 48 Now on hearing this, the nations rejoiced and glorified the word of the Lord, and they believe, whoever were set for life eonian." 49 Now the word of the Lord was carried through the whole country. 50 Yet the Jews spur on the reverent, respectable women, and the foremost ones of the city, and rouse up persecution for Paul and Barnabas, and they ejected them from their boundaries." 51 Now they, shaking the dust off their feet against them, came to Iconium." 52 And the disciples were filled with joy and holy spirit.

And many such like things you are doing." 9 And He said to them, "Ideally are you repudiating the precept of God, that you should be keeping your tradition." 10 For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your mother,' and, He who is saying aught that is evil of father or mother, let him decease in death." 11 Yet you are saying, 'If a man should be saying to father or mother, "A corban (which is an approach present) is whatsoever you may be benefitted by me,'" 12 no longer are you letting him do anything for his father or his mother, 13 invalidating the word of God by your tradition which you give over. When the priest has examined it he will pronounce him unclean. 4 Yet if the blotch is white, that in the skin of his flesh, and is not deeper in its appearance than the skin, and its hair has not turned white, then the priest will enclose the contagious person seven days. 5 The priest will examine him on the seventh day, and behold, if in his eyes the contagion stays, the contagion has not diffused in the skin, then the priest will enclose him a second seven days. 6 The priest will examine him on the second seventh day, and behold, if the contagion is inconspicuous and the contagion has not diffused in the skin, then the priest will pronounce him clean; it is a scurf. He will rinse his garments; then he will be clean. 7 Yet if the scurf should have diffused, yea diffused in the skin after his appearance before the priest for his cleansing, then he will show himself a second time to the priest. 8 When the priest has examined, and behold, if the scurf has diffused in the skin, then the priest will pronounce him unclean; it is a leprous disease. 9 In case the contagion of a leprous disease comes to be in a human, then the matter will be brought before the priest. 10 The priest will examine, and behold, if a white nodule is in the skin and it has turned the hair white and live flesh is staying alive in the nodule, 11 it is a chronic leprous disease in the skin of his flesh. Then the priest will pronounce him unclean; he shall not enclose him, for he is unclean. 12 Yet if the leprous disease should bud, yea bud in the skin so that the leprous disease covers all the skin of the contagious person, from his head unto his feet, to all appearances in the eyes of the priest, 13 then the priest will examine, and behold, if the leprous disease covers all his flesh, he will pronounce the contagion clean; all of it has turned white; he is clean. 14 Yet on the day live flesh appears in it, he shall be unclean.

And he goes from him a kibrath of land, 20 And Gehazi, servant of Elisha the man of Elohim, said, `Lo, my lord has spared Naaman this Aramean, not to receive from his hand that which he brought; Yahweh lives; surely if I have run after him, then I have taken from him something.. 21 And Gehazi pursues after Naaman, and Naaman sees one running after him, and alights from off the chariot to meet him, and said, `Is there peace?. 22 And he said, `Peace; my lord has sent me, saying, Lo, now, this, come unto me have two young men from the hill-country of Ephraim, of the sons of the prophets; give, I pray you, to them, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.. 23 And Naaman said, `Be pleased, take two talents;' and he urges on him, and binds two talents of silver in two purses, and two changes of garments, and gives unto two of his young men, and they bear before him;" 24 and he comes in unto the high place, and takes out of their hand, and lays up in the house, and sends away the men, and they go. 25 And he has come in, and does stand by his lord, and Elisha said unto him, `Whence--Gehazi?' and he said, `Your servant went not hither or thither.. 26 And he said unto him, `My heart went not when the man turned from off his chariot to meet you; is it a time to take silver, and to take garments, and olives, and vines, and flock, and herd, and men-servants, and maid-servants? 27 yea, the leprosy of Naaman does cleave to you, and to your seed, --to the eon;' and he goes out from before him--leprous as snow.

Leviticus 14:1-32

1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying. 2 This shall come to be the law of the leprous man in the day of his cleansing; when the matter is brought before the priest, 3 then the priest will go forth outside the camp. When the priest examines, and behold, the contagion of leprous disease is healed in the leprous man, 4 then the priest will instruct that they take for the one cleansing himself two living clean birds and cedar wood, double-dipped crimson yarn and hyssop. 5 The priest will instruct that they slay one bird in an earthenware vessel over live water. 6 Then he shall take the living bird, it and the cedar wood, the double-dipped crimson yarn and the hyssop, and he will dip them and the living bird into the blood of the bird slain over the live water. 7 Then he will spatter it seven times on the one cleansing himself from the leprous disease, and pronounce him clean. He will send the living bird free over the surface of the field. 8 The one cleansing himself will rinse his garments and shave off all his hair and wash in water; then he will be clean. Afterward he may come into the camp, yet he will dwell outside his tent seven days. 9 Then it will come to be on the seventh day that he shall shave off all his hair from his head, his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair shall he shave off; when he has rinsed his garments and bathed his flesh in water, then he will be clean. 10 On the eighth day he shall take two flawless he-lambs, and one flawless ewe lamb, a year old, three tenths of an ephah of flour, an approach present mingled with oil, and one log of oil. 11 The priest pronouncing the man clean will cause them and the one cleansing himself to stand before Yahweh at the opening of the tent of appointment. 12 Then the priest will take one he-lamb and bring it near as a guilt offering with the log of oil and wave them as a wave offering before Yahweh. 13 He will slay the he-lamb in the place where he slays the sin offering and the ascent offering in the holy place, for like the sin offering, the guilt offering, it is for the priest; it is a holy of holies. 14 The priest will take some of the blood of the guilt offering, and the priest will put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one cleansing himself, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot. 15 Then the priest will take some of the log of oil and pour it on the priest's left palm. 16 The priest will dip his right finger into the oil which is on his left palm and spatter some of the oil with his finger seven times before Yahweh. 17 Some of the oil which is left on his palm the priest shall put on the lobe of the right ear of the one cleansing himself, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot, over the blood of the guilt offering. 18 And the rest of the oil which is on the palm of the priest shall he put on the head of the one cleansing himself. Thus the priest will make a propitiatory shelter over him before Yahweh. 19 Then the priest will make the sin offering, make a propitiatory shelter over the one cleansing himself from his uncleanness, and afterward slay the ascent offering. 20 The priest will bring up the ascent offering and the approach present on the altar before Yahweh. When the priest makes a propitiatory shelter over him, then he will be clean. 21 If he is poor and his hand cannot afford it then he will take one he-lamb as a guilt offering for a wave offering to make a propitiatory shelter over him, one tenth of an ephah of flour mingled with oil for an approach present, a log of oil, 22 and two turtledoves or two dove squabs whichever his hand can afford. One will come to be a sin offering and the other an ascent offering. 23 He will bring them on the eighth day, for his cleansing, to the priest at the opening of the tent of appointment before Yahweh. 24 And the priest will take the he-lamb of the guilt offering and the log of oil, and the priest will wave them as a wave offering before Yahweh. 25 Then he will slay the he-lamb of the guilt offering; the priest will take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one cleansing himself, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot. 26 Some of the oil the priest shall pour on the priest's left palm; 27 and the priest will spatter with his right finger some of the oil which is on his left palm seven times before Yahweh. 28 Then the priest will put some of the oil which is on his palm on the lobe of the right ear of the one cleansing himself, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot on the same place as the blood of the guilt offering. 29 And the rest of the oil which is on the palm of the priest he shall put on the head of the one cleansing himself to make a propitiatory shelter over him before Yahweh. 30 He will offer one of the turtledoves or of the dove squabs from whichever his hand can afford. 31 Of that which his hand can afford the one is for a sin offering and the other for an ascent offering along with the approach present. Thus the priest will make a propitiatory shelter over the one cleansing himself before Yahweh. 32 This is the law for one in whom is the contagion of leprous disease whose hand cannot afford more for his cleansing.
