²¹ And then, if anyone should be saying to you, 'Lo! Here is the Christ!' and 'Lo! There!', be not believing."

¹ In case there arises a prophet or a dreamer of dreams among you, and he gives to you a sign or a miracle, ² and the sign or the miracle comes about, of which he spoke to you, saying:Let us go after other elohim (whom you have not known), and let us serve them, ³ you shall not hearken to the words of that prophet or to that dreamer of dreams because Yahweh your Elohim is probing you to know whether you are loving Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul.

⁵ For many shall be coming in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ!' and shall be deceiving many."

²³ Then, if anyone should be saying to you, 'Lo! here is the Christ! or 'Here!' you should not be believing it." ²⁴ For roused shall be false christs and false prophets, and they shall be giving great signs and miracles, so as to deceive, if possible, even the chosen." ²⁵ Lo! I have declared it to you beforehand.

²³ And they shall be declaring to you, 'Lo! there!' or 'Lo! here!' You may not come away, nor yet should you be pursuing." ²⁴ For even as the lightning, flashing out from here under heaven to there under heaven, is shining, thus will be the Son of Mankind in His day."

⁸ Now He said, "Beware that you may not be deceived, for many shall be coming in My name, saying that I am!' and 'The season is near!' You may not, then, be going after them."

⁴³ I have come in the name of My Father, and you are not getting Me. If another should be coming in his own name, him you will get."
