Nehemiah 6:7 Cross References - CLV

⁷ And also, prophets you have appointed to call for you in Jerusalem, saying, A king [is] in Judah, and now it is heard by the king according to these words; and now come, and we take counsel together..

¹⁰ and Absalom sends spies through all the tribes of Israel, saying, `At your hearing the voice of the trumpet, then you have said, Absalom has reigned in Hebron.. ¹¹ And with Absalom have gone two hundred men, out of Jerusalem, invited ones, and they are going in their simplicity, and have not known anything;" ¹² and Absalom sends Ahithophel the Gilonite, a counsellor of David, out of his city, out of Gilo, in his sacrificing sacrifices; and the conspiracy is strong, and the people are going and increasing with Absalom.

⁷ And his words are with Joab son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest, and they help after Adonijah;"

¹⁸ and now, lo, Adonijah has reigned, and now, my lord, O king, you have not known;"

²⁵ for he has gone down to-day, and does sacrifice ox, and fatling, and sheep, in abundance, and calls for all the sons of the king, and for the heads of the host, and for Abiathar the priest, and lo, they are eating and drinking before him, and they say, Let king Adonijah live!"

³⁴ and anointed him there has Zadok the priest--and Nathan the prophet--for king over Israel, and you have blown with a trumpet, and said, Let king Solomon live;"

¹² And I discern, and lo, Elohim has not sent him, for in the prophecy he has spoken unto me both Tobiah and Sanballat hired him, ¹³ so that he [is] an hireling, that I may fear and do so, and I had sinned, and it had been to them for an evil name that they may reproach me.

²⁴ With his lips, one who hates dissembles, Yet within him he firmly sets deceit;" ²⁵ When his voice sounds generous, do not believe him, For seven abhorrences are in his heart." ²⁶ One's hatred can be covered by guile, But his evil shall be revealed in the assembly."

¹⁵ Now then, you inform the captain together with the Sanhedrin, so that he may be leading him down to you, as being about to investigate more exactly that which concerns him; yet we, before he draws near, are ready to assassinate him."
