Numbers 20:12 Cross References - CLV

¹² Yet Yahweh said to Moses and to Aaron:Because you did not believe in Me to sanctify Me before the eyes of the sons of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I will give to them.

³ Then Moses said to Aaron:That is what Yahweh spoke of, saying:Among those near Me shall I be hallowed, and in the presence of all the people shall I be glorified. Aaron was still;"

¹⁵ So if thus You are doing to me, kill me, I pray, yea kill me. If I have found grace in Your eyes then do not let me see Your evil.

²¹ Moses said:Six hundred thousand men on foot are the people among whom I am, yet You say:Flesh shall I give to them, and they will eat it for a month of days!" ²² Shall the flock and the herd be slain for them to provide for them, or all the fish of the sea be gathered for them to provide for them?

²⁴ Aaron shall be gathered to his people, for he shall not come to the land which I will give to the sons of Israel, because you rebelled against My bidding at the waters of Meribah.

¹⁴ Just as in the contention of the congregation both of you rebelled against My bidding in the wilderness of Zin to sanctify Me at the waters before their eyes. (These were the waters of Meribah at Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)

³⁷ Moreover Yahweh showed Himself angered with me owing to you, saying:Not even you shall enter there.

²³ I supplicated to Yahweh at that time, saying. ²⁴ My Lord Yahweh, You Yourself have started to show Your servant Your greatness and Your steadfast hand, and Your outstretched arm. For what el is in the heavens or on the earth who could do according to Your deeds and according to Your mastery? ²⁵ Let me cross over, I pray so I may see the good land that is across the Jordan, this good hill-country and the Lebanon. ²⁶ Yet Yahweh was enraged with me on account of you and did not hearken to me. Yahweh said to me:Let it be enough for you! Do not continue to speak to Me further on this matter. ²⁷ Ascend to the summit of the Pisgah ridge, and lift up your eyes westward and northward and southward and eastward and see with your eyes, for you shall not cross over this Jordan.

⁴⁹ Go up to this mount of the Abarim range (Mount Nebo which is in the country of Moab that is overlooking Jericho), and see the land of Canaan that I am giving to the sons of Israel for a holding;" ⁵⁰ and die on the mount where you are going up, and be gathered to your people, just as Aaron your brother died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people, ⁵¹ because both of you offended Me in the midst of the sons of Israel at the waters of Meribah at Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin, because neither of you hallowed Me in the midst of the sons of Israel.

⁴ Then Yahweh said to him:This is the land about which I had sworn to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob, saying, To your seed shall I give it. I have let you see it with your eyes, yet you shall not cross over there.

² `Moses my servant is dead, and now, rise, pass over this Jordan, you, and all this people, unto the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel.

²⁰ And they rise early in the morning, and go out to the wilderness of Tekoa, and in their going out Jehoshaphat has stood and said, `Hear me, O Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem, remain stedfast in Yahweh your Elohim, and be stedfast; remain stedfast in His prophets, and prosper..

⁹ And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If you are not believing, then you are not being faithful."

¹³ Yahweh of hosts--Him shall you sanctify, and He shall be your fear, and He shall be your terror."

⁴¹ With sweet fragrance I do accept you, In My bringing you out from the peoples, And I have assembled you from the lands In which you have been scattered, And I have been sanctified in you Before the eyes of the nations."

²³ And I have sanctified My great name, That is profaned among nations, That you have polluted in your midst, And known have the nations that I [am] Yahweh, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, In My being sanctified in you before your eyes."

¹⁰ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:And it has come to pass in that day, Come up do things on your heart, And you have thought an evil thought,

¹⁷ Now then answering, Jesus said to them, "O generation unbelieving and perverse! Till when shall I be with you? Till when shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me."

²⁰ Now He is saying to them, "Because of your scant faith. For verily I am saying to you, If you should have faith as a kernel of mustard, you shall be declaring to this mountain, 'Proceed hence-there!' and it will be proceeding. And nothing will be impossible for you."

²⁰ And lo! silent shall you be and not able to speak until the day on which these things may be occurring, because you do not believe my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season."

⁴⁵ And happy is she who believes, seeing that there shall be a maturing of that which has been spoken to her by the Lord!"

¹⁷ For the law through Moses was given; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

²⁰ yet the promise of God was not doubted in unbelief, but he was invigorated by faith, giving glory to God,

¹⁵ yet hallow the Lord Christ in your hearts, ever ready with a defense for everyone who is demanding from you an account concerning the expectation in you, but with meekness and fear,
