²⁷ and the redeemer of blood finds him outside the boundary of his city of asylum, and the redeemer of blood murders the manslayer, there is no bloodguilt on him,

² (If the thief is found while burrowing and is smitten so that he dies, there is no blood-guilt because of him.

⁶ Otherwise the redeemer of blood may pursue after the manslayer while his heart is furious, and he may overtake him because the road is long enough, and he may smite his soul even though he had no judgment of death, seeing that he was not hating him heretofore.

¹⁰ Thus within your land that Yahweh your Elohim is giving to you as an allotment, the blood of the innocent shall not be shed so that no guilt of bloodshed comes to be on you.
