¹² For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge?

¹¹ And he said to them, "To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but to those outside everything is in parables;

¹⁴ But he said to him, "Man, who made me a judge or an arbitrator over you?"

³⁶ Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now my kingship is not from here."

³ For though I am absent in body, I am present in spirit, and have already passed judgment on the one who has committed this, as if I were present. ⁴ In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are assembled, and I with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, ⁵ you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

¹ When any one of you has a grievance against a brother, does he dare go to law before the unrighteous instead of before the saints? ² Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you not competent to try trivial cases? ³ Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more matters of this life! ⁴ So if you have disputes about such matters, do you appoint them as judges who are of no account in the church? ⁵ I say this to your shame. Can it be that there is no man among you wise enough to decide between his brethren,

⁵ Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity.

¹² so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anyone.

⁷ He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
