⁵ But now I am going to him who sent me, yet none of you asks me, 'Where are you going?'

⁶² What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before?

³³ Then Jesus said to them, "I shall be with you a little while longer, and then I go to him who sent me.

³ Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going to God,

³⁶ Simon Peter said to him, "Lord, where are you going?" Jesus answered, "Where I am going you cannot follow me now; but you shall follow afterward."

⁷ But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift. ⁸ Therefore it says, "When he ascended on high, he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men." ⁹ (In saying, "He ascended," what does it mean except that he had also descended into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He who descended is also he who ascended far above all the heavens, so that he might fill all things.) ¹¹ And he gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,

³ He is the radiance of his glory and the exact representation of his being, and upholds all things by the word of his power. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

² fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
