³ If I give all I have to the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

⁶ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any avail, but faith working through love.

He took what was hostile away from us, nailing it to the cross. ¹⁵ And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them through him. ¹⁶ Therefore let no one judge you in questions of food or drink or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day. ¹⁷ These things are only a shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ. ¹⁸ Let no one disqualify you for the prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, puffed up without cause by his fleshly mind, ¹⁹ and not holding fast to the head, from whom the whole body, nourished and held together by its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God.

³ For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

⁴ to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, kept in heaven for you, ⁵ who are protected by God's power through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

¹¹ And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. ¹² He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
