¹¹ "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

¹⁹ when anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path.

¹⁴ The sower sows the word. ¹⁵ And these are the ones along the path where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in them. ¹⁶ And these likewise are the ones sown on rocky ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy; ¹⁷ and they have no root in themselves, but endure for only a time. ⁶ I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. ⁷ So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.

⁹ For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building. ¹⁰ According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it. ¹¹ For no other foundation can any one lay than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. ¹² Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,

²¹ Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and rank growth of wickedness, in humility receive the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

²³ For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. ²⁴ For, "All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, ²⁵ but the word of the Lord stands forever." And this is the word which was preached to you.
