³ And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him.

¹³ For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John. ¹⁴ And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who is to come.

¹⁰ And the disciples asked him, "Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?" ¹¹ Jesus replied, "Elijah is coming first and will restore all things. ¹² But I tell you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know him but did to him whatever they wished. So also the Son of Man is about to suffer at their hands." ¹³ Then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them of John the Baptist.

⁴ And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus.

¹⁷ And he will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, 'to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,' and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."

³⁰ And behold, two men talked with him, Moses and Elijah, ³¹ who appeared in glory and spoke of his departure, which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.

³³ As the men were parting from him, Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah"not knowing what he said.

¹⁶ The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the good news of the kingdom of God is preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.

²⁷ And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he explained to them the things concerning himself in all the scriptures.

⁴⁴ Then he said to them, "These are my words which I spoke to you, while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalms must be fulfilled."

¹⁷ For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

⁴⁵ Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; it is Moses who accuses you, on whom you set your hope. ⁴⁶ If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. ⁴⁷ But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?"

⁷ Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was, ⁸ will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? ⁹ For if the ministry of condemnation has glory, much more does the ministry of righteousness exceed it in glory. ¹⁰ For indeed what had glory, in this case has no glory because of the glory that surpasses it. ¹¹ For if what was fading away came with glory, much more is the glory of that which lasts.

¹ Therefore, holy brethren, who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession. ² He was faithful to him who appointed him, just as Moses also was faithful in all God's house. ³ Yet Jesus has been counted worthy of as much more glory than Moses as the builder of a house has more honor than the house. ⁴ For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God. ⁵ Now Moses was faithful in all God's house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, ⁶ but Christ is faithful as a son over God's house. And we are his house, if we hold fast to our confidence and the hope of which we boast.
