All the churches of Christ greet you. ¹⁷ I urge you, brethren, to take note of those who cause divisions and difficulties, contrary to the doctrine which you have learned; avoid them. ¹⁸ For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth and flattering words they deceive the hearts of the simple. ¹⁹ For your obedience has become known to all, so I am full of joy over you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. ²⁰ And the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. ¹⁸ After this Paul stayed many days longer, and then took leave of the brethren and sailed for Syria, and with him were Priscilla and Aquila. In Cenchrea he had his hair cut, for he had taken a vow.

¹ Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some do, letters of recommendation to you, or from you?

² older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, in all purity.

⁹ A widow is to be put on the list only if she is not less than sixty years old, having been the wife of one husband, ¹⁰ and she must be well known for her good deeds, as one who has brought up children, shown hospitality, washed the feet of the saints, relieved those in distress, and devoted herself to doing good in every way.

¹⁵ If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food,

²² Since you have purified your souls by obedience to the truth for a sincere love of the brethren, love one another earnestly from the heart. ²³ For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

⁴⁰ "He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me. ⁴¹ He who receives a prophet because he is a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward, and he who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. ⁴² And whoever gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he shall not lose his reward."

³⁶ Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha (which is translated Dorcas). She was full of good works and acts of charity.

³⁹ So Peter rose and went with them. And when he arrived, they took him to the upper room. All the widows stood beside him, weeping and showing the tunics and other garments that Dorcas made while she was with them.

⁴¹ And he gave her his hand and raised her up. Then calling the saints and widows he presented her alive.

⁷ Therefore, welcome one another, just as Christ also welcomed you, to the glory of God.

³ But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.

²⁷ Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you stand firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel,

²⁹ So receive him in the Lord with all joy; and honor men like him,

¹⁴ Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles. ¹⁵ You yourselves also know, Philippians, that in the first preaching of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving except you only; ¹⁶ for even in Thessalonica you sent me a gift once and again for my needs. ¹⁷ Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account. ¹⁸ I have received full payment and even more; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. ¹⁹ And my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

¹⁰ My fellow prisoner Aristarchus sends you his greetings, and also Mark, the cousin of Barnabas (about whom you have received instructions; if he comes to you, welcome him.)

¹⁸ may the Lord grant him to find mercy from the Lord on that Dayand you know very well all the service he rendered at Ephesus.

³ The older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not to be slanderers or slaves to much wine, but they are to teach what is good,

¹² I am sending him back to you, sending my very heart.

¹⁷ So if you consider me a partner, welcome him as you would welcome me.

¹⁰ If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting;

⁵ Beloved, you are acting faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the brethren, and especially when they are strangers; ⁶ and they have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. ⁷ For they went out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. ⁸ Therefore we ought to support such men, so that we may be fellow workers in the truth. ⁹ I wrote something to the church; but Diotrephes, who loves to be first among them, does not accept what we say. ¹⁰ So if I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, gossiping against us with evil words. And not satisfied with that, he refuses himself to welcome the brethren, and also stops those who want to welcome them and puts them out of the church.

² And he found a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, having recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to leave Rome. He went to see them, ³ and because he was of the same trade he stayed with them, and they worked, for by trade they were tentmakers. ⁴ And every Sabbath he was reasoning in the synagogue, and trying to persuade Jews and Greeks. ⁵ When Silas and Timothy came from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ. ⁶ But when they opposed him and blasphemed, he shook out his garments and said to them, "Your blood be on your own heads! I am clean. From now on I will go to the Gentiles." ⁷ Then he left there and went to the house of a man named Titius Justus, a worshiper of God, whose house was next door to the synagogue. ⁸ Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, together with all his household; and many of the Corinthians who heard him believed and were baptized. ⁹ And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, "Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent; ¹⁰ for I am with you, and no man will attack you to harm you, for I have many people in this city." ¹¹ And he stayed a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them. ¹² But while Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews made a united attack upon Paul and brought him before the judgment seat, ¹³ saying, "This man is persuading men to worship God contrary to the law." ¹⁴ But when Paul was about to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, "If it were a matter of wrong or of vicious crime, O Jews, it would be reasonable for me to put up with you; ¹⁵ but since it is a matter of questions about words and names and your own law, see to it yourselves; I refuse to be a judge of these things." ¹⁶ And he drove them from the judgment seat. ¹⁷ And they all seized Sosthenes, the ruler of the synagogue, and beat him in front of the judgment seat. But Gallio paid no attention to this.

²⁶ And he began to speak out boldly in the synagogue. But when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.

¹⁶ to be subject to such men and to everyone who helps in the work and labors.

¹⁹ The churches of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Prisca greet you warmly in the lord, with the church that is in their house.

¹³ Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

⁴¹ And he went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.

⁵ So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and increased in numbers daily.

⁷ Why, one will hardly die for a righteous manthough perhaps for a good man one will dare even to die.

¹⁷ Only, let each one lead the life which the Lord has assigned to him, and in which God has called him. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches.

¹ Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you must also do.

³⁰ because he almost died for the work of Christ, risking his life to complete what was deficient in your service to me.

¹⁴ For you, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus which are in Judea, for you suffered the same things from your own countrymen as they did from the Jews,

¹⁶ By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

⁴ John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne,

²⁰ For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

¹² But while Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews made a united attack upon Paul and brought him before the judgment seat,

²⁷ And when he wanted to go across to Achaia, the brethren encouraged him and wrote to the disciples to welcome him. When he had arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace,

¹⁶ If the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole lump is holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches.

²⁶ For Macedonia and Achaia have been pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.

¹⁵ You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints. Now I urge you, brethren,

¹ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, to the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are throughout Achaia:

² for I know your readiness, of which I boast about you to the Macedonians, saying that Achaia has been ready since last year; and your zeal has stirred up most of them.

¹⁵ Give my greetings to the brethren at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church in her house.

² and to Apphia our sister, and to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house:

¹⁸ Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.

¹ The elder to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth.

⁴ These are the ones who have not been defiled with women, for they have kept themselves chaste. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb.

²³ Are they servants of Christ? I am a better oneI am talking like a madmanin far more labors, in far more imprisonments, with more beatings, and often in danger of death.

²² I was still unknown by sight to the churches of Judea which were in Christ;

² I went up because of a revelation; and I set before them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. But I did this privately to those who were of reputation, for fear that I was running or had run my race in vain.

⁶ And from those who were reputed to be something (what they were makes no difference to me; God shows no partiality)those, I say, who were of repute added nothing to me;

⁶ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any avail, but faith working through love.

¹⁰ For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we would walk in them.

¹³ By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

⁹ I, John, your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

¹⁸ he who serves Christ in this way is acceptable to God and approved by men.

¹⁹ For there must be factions among you in order that those who are genuine among you may be recognized.

⁹ For this is why I wrote, that I might test you and know whether you are obedient in everything.

²² And with them we are sending our brother whom we have often proved diligent in many matters, but who is now more diligent than ever because of his great confidence in you.

²² But you know that he has proved his worth, because as a son with his father he has served with me in the work of the gospel.

¹⁰ They must also first be tested; and then if they are beyond reproach, let them serve as deacons.

⁷ so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

⁷ Greet Andronicus and Junias, my kinsmen and my fellow prisoners; they are men of note among the apostles, and they were in Christ before me.

³⁸ Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest."

¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. No, I worked harder than all of themyet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

⁵⁸ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

²⁹ For this end I labor, striving with all his energy, which so mightily works within me.

¹² Epaphras, who is one of your number, a servant of Jesus Christ, sends you his greetings, always laboring earnestly for you in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.

³ remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹² But we ask you, brethren, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, ¹³ and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Live in peace with one another.

¹⁰ For to this end we labor and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.

¹⁷ The elders who rule well are to be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching. ¹⁸ For the scripture says, "You shall not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain," and, "The laborer deserves his wages."

¹⁰ For God is not so unjust as to forget your work and the love which you have shown for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do. ¹¹ And we desire each one of you to show the same diligence in realizing the full assurance of hope until the end,

⁴⁹ And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! ⁵⁰ For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."

¹⁶ So the last will be first, and the first will be last."

³⁵ Whoever does the will of God is my brother, and sister, and mother."

²¹ Then they compelled a certain man, Simon of Cyrene, the father of Alexander and Rufus, as he was coming out of the country and passing by, to carry his cross.

¹ But some men came down from Judea and were teaching the brethren, "Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved." ² And when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and debate with them, Paul and Barnabas and some of the others were appointed to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and the elders about this question. ³ So, being sent on their way by the church, they passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, reporting the conversion of the Gentiles, and they gave great joy to all the brethren. ⁴ When they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they reported all that God had done with them. ⁵ But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up, and said, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to charge them to keep the Law of Moses."

²⁴ Since we have heard that some persons from us have disturbed you with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions,

¹⁰ I appeal to you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and in the same judgment. ¹¹ For I have been informed by Chloe's people, that there are quarrels among you, my brethren. ¹² What I mean is this, that each one of you says, "I am of Paul," and "I of Apollos," and "I of Cephas," and "I of Christ." ¹³ Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

³ for you are still carnal. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not carnal, and are you not walking like mere men?

⁹ I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people; ¹⁰ not at all meaning the immoral people of this world, or with the greedy and swindlers, or with idolaters, for then you would have to go out of the world. ¹¹ But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any one who bears the name of brother if he is an immoral person, or greedy, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindlernot even to eat with such a one.

¹⁸ For, in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you; and I partly believe it.

⁷ which is really not another gospel; but there are some who are disturbing you, and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. ⁸ But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we preached to you, let him be accursed! ⁹ As we have said before, so I say again now, if any one is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be accursed!

⁴ But it was because of the false brethren secretly brought in, who had slipped in to spy out our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, in order to bring us into bondage.

² Watch out for the dogs, watch out for the evil workers, watch out for those mutilators of the body. ³ For we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God, and glory in Christ Jesus, and put no confidence in the flesh,

¹⁷ Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who live according to the pattern you have in us.

⁸ See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to human tradition, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.

⁶ Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from every brother who is living in idleness and not according to the tradition which you received from us.

¹⁴ If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of that person and do not associate with him, so that he may be ashamed. ¹⁵ Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother.

³ As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, remain on at Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines,

³ If anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching which accords with godliness, ⁴ he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, which produce envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions, ⁵ and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who imagine that godliness is a means of gain.

⁵ holding a form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid such people.

¹⁰ Warn a man who is factious once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him,

¹ But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. ² And many will follow their licentiousness, and because of them the way of truth will be reviled.

¹⁹ They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that it might be plain that none of them were of us.

⁷ For many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. ⁸ Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may receive a full reward. ⁹ Anyone who runs ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ does not have God; he who abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. ¹⁰ If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting; ¹¹ for he who greets him shares in his wicked work.

¹⁹ These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit.

²⁴ No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

¹⁵ "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

¹¹ And many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

²⁴ For false christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

⁴⁸ But if that servant is wicked and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,' ⁴⁹ and he then begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, ⁵⁰ the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of, ⁵¹ and he will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

²⁶ If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there my servant will be also. If anyone serves me, him my Father will honor.

¹⁹ For your obedience has become known to all, so I am full of joy over you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.

¹⁷ For we are not, like so many, peddling the word of God; but as men of sincerity, as from God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.

² But we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

³ But I am afraid that just as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

¹³ For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. ¹⁵ Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will be according to their deeds.

¹⁰ Am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.

²¹ For they all seek after their own interests, not those of Christ Jesus.

¹⁹ Their end is destruction, their god is the belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things.

⁴ I say this so that no one may delude you with fine-sounding arguments.

²⁴ knowing that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

¹⁰ and with all the deception of wickedness for those who are to perish, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

⁵ and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who imagine that godliness is a means of gain.

¹⁶ Avoid godless chatter, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness, ¹⁷ and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, ¹⁸ who have gone astray from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already taken place, and upset the faith of some.

² For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, ³ unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, ⁴ treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, ⁵ holding a form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid such people. ⁶ For among them are those who make their way into households and capture weak women, weighed down with sins and swayed by various impulses,

¹⁰ For there are many rebellious men, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision. ¹¹ They must be silenced, because they are upsetting whole families by teaching things they ought not to teach for the sake of sordid gain. ¹² One of themselves, a prophet of their own, said, "Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons."

¹ James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes in the Dispersion: greetings.

³ And in their greed they will exploit you with false words; from long ago their condemnation has not been idle, and their destruction has not been asleep.

¹⁰ and especially those who indulge the flesh in its corrupt desire and despise authority. Bold and willful, they are not afraid to revile the glorious ones, ¹¹ whereas angels, though greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling judgment against them before the Lord. ¹² But these, like irrational animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and killed, reviling in matters of which they are ignorant, will be destroyed in the same destruction with them, ¹³ suffering wrong for their wrongdoing. They count it a pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, as they carouse with you. ¹⁴ They have eyes full of adultery, that never cease from sin; they entice unstable souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children! ¹⁵ Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

¹⁸ For speaking out arrogant words of vanity, they entice by fleshly desires, by sensuality, those who barely escape from the ones who live in error. ¹⁹ They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for whatever overcomes a man, to that he is enslaved. ²⁰ For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.

¹ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. ² By this you know the Spirit of God: every Spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, ³ and every spirit which does not confess Jesus is not of God. This is the spirit of the Antichrist, of which you have heard that it was coming, and now it is in the world already.

¹ Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to those who are called, beloved in God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ:

¹² These are the men who are blemishes in your love feasts when they feast with you without fear, caring for themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, uprooted;

¹⁶ These are grumblers, finding fault, following after their own lusts; they speak arrogantly, flattering people for their own advantage.

¹ The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants what must soon take place. And he made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,

¹⁶ "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.

³ Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.

⁸ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed in all the world.

²⁰ Brethren, do not be children in your thinking; be infants in evil, but in thinking be mature.

¹⁵ For this reason, ever since I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, ¹⁶ I do not cease giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, ¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him. ¹⁸ I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

¹⁷ Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

⁹ And this is my prayer, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment,

¹⁵ so that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

³ We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, ⁴ because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love which you have for all the saints, ⁵ because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel ⁶ which has come to you, just as in all the world it is bearing fruit and growing, even as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth; ⁷ as you learned it from Epaphras, our beloved fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf, ⁸ and who also told us of your love in the Spirit. ⁹ For this reason also, since the day we heard it, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

² We give thanks to God always for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers; ³ remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁸ For not only has the word of the Lord sounded forth from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in God has gone forth everywhere, so that we have no need to say anything. ⁹ For they themselves report about us what kind of a reception we had with you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,

⁶ But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and has brought us the good news of your faith and love and reported that you always remember us kindly and long to see us, just as we long to see you ⁷ for this reason, brethren, in all our distress and affliction we were comforted about you through your faith; ⁸ for now we really live, if you stand firm in the Lord. ⁹ For what thanksgiving can we render to God for you in return for all the joy which we feel for your sake before our God, ¹⁰ as we night and day keep praying most earnestly that we may see you face to face and supply what is lacking in your faith?

¹⁵ and how from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. ¹⁶ All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness; ¹⁷ so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

¹³ Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good life let him show his deeds in the humility of wisdom. ¹⁴ But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. ¹⁵ This wisdom is not such as comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. ¹⁶ For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every evil practice. ¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, without uncertainty or hypocrisy. ¹⁸ And the harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

¹⁹ Behold, I have given you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you.

³⁷ No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

³³ The God of peace be with you all. Amen.

² On the first day of every week, each one of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that no collections be made when I come. ³ And when I arrive, I will send those whom you approve with letters to carry your gift to Jerusalem. ⁴ If it seems advisable for me to go also, they will accompany me.

¹⁴ Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same nature, that through death he might destroy him who has the power of death, that is, the devil, ¹⁵ and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.

⁸ He who commits sin is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.

¹⁰ Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night.

¹ Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key of the abyss and a great chain. ² And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, ³ and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any more, until the thousand years were ended. After these things he must be released for a short time.

²¹ The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.

¹ Now in the church that was at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

¹ And he came also to Derbe and to Lystra. A disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a Jewish woman who was a believer; but his father was a Greek, ² and he was well spoken of by the brethren who were in Lystra and Iconium. ³ Paul wanted this man to accompany him; and he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.

⁵ But the Jews were jealous, and taking some wicked men from the market place, they formed a mob and set the city in an uproar; they attacked the house of Jason, seeking to bring them out to the people.

¹⁴ Then the brethren immediately sent Paul out to go as far as the sea, but Silas and Timothy remained there.

⁵ When Silas and Timothy came from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.

²² And having sent into Macedonia two of his helpers, Timothy and Erastus, he himself stayed in Asia for a while.

⁴ He was accompanied by Sopater of Berea, the son of Pyrrhus, and by Aristarchus and Secundus of the Thessalonians, and Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy, and Tychicus and Trophimus of Asia.

¹⁹ For the Son of God, Christ Jesus, who was preached among you by usby me and Silvanus and Timothywas not Yes and No, but in him it has always been Yes.

¹ Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the overseers and deacons:

¹⁹ I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered when I receive news of you. ²⁰ I have no one else like him, who will be genuinely concerned for your welfare. ²¹ For they all seek after their own interests, not those of Christ Jesus. ²² But you know that he has proved his worth, because as a son with his father he has served with me in the work of the gospel. ²³ Therefore I hope to send him immediately, as soon as I see how things go with me;

² and we sent Timothy, our brother and God's fellow worker in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith,

⁶ But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and has brought us the good news of your faith and love and reported that you always remember us kindly and long to see us, just as we long to see you

¹ Paul, Silvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: ² to Timothy, my true child in the faith: grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹¹ But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.

²⁰ O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge,

² to Timothy, my beloved son: grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

²³ You should know that our brother Timothy has been released, with whom I will see you if he comes soon.

²¹ I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand.

¹¹ See with what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand.

¹⁷ And whatever you do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

²⁹ The city was filled with the confusion, and they rushed with one accord into the theater, dragging along Gaius and Aristarchus, Paul's traveling companions from Macedonia.

¹⁴ I am thankful that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,

²⁰ Erastus remained at Corinth, but Trophimus I left sick at Miletus.

¹ The elder to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth. ² Beloved, I pray that you may be in good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. ³ For I greatly rejoiced when some of the brethren arrived and testified to the truth of your life, and how you are walking in truth. ⁴ I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my children are walking in the truth. ⁵ Beloved, you are acting faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the brethren, and especially when they are strangers; ⁶ and they have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God.

²⁰ And the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

¹⁷ For truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

³⁵ So was fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet: "I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the foundation of the world."

²³ Then he turned to his disciples and said privately, "Blessed are the eyes which see what you see. ²⁴ For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it."

²⁰ And immediately he began to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, saying, "He is the Son of God."

³² And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

¹⁶ on that day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men by Christ Jesus.

⁴ Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will be made to stand, for the Master is able to make him stand.

²³ but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness,

¹ When I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. ² For I resolved to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

⁷ But we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and which God destined for our glory before the ages.

¹ This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

³ And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.

⁵ For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.

⁹ he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ,

³ that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly. ⁴ When you read this, you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, ⁵ which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

⁹ and to make plain to everyone the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things;

¹¹ This was according to the eternal purpose which he carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord,

²⁰ Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, ²¹ to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, for ever and ever. Amen.

¹⁹ and also pray for me, that in the opening of my mouth, utterance may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,

²⁶ the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints. ²⁷ To them God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

¹³ so that he may establish your hearts without blame in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.

¹⁴ He called you to this through our gospel, that you may share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁶ Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope by grace, ¹⁷ comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.

³ But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.

⁹ who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and the grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity,

⁸ Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, descended from David according to my gospel,

² in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago,

²⁵ Therefore he is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

¹⁰ As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you inquired and searched carefully, ¹¹ seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. ¹² It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaventhings into which angels long to look.

²⁰ He was destined before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.

¹⁰ And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, establish, and strengthen you.

²⁴ Now to him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you without blemish before the presence of his glory with great joy, ²⁵ to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

¹⁹ Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

¹⁵ And he said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

⁴⁴ Then he said to them, "These are my words which I spoke to you, while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalms must be fulfilled." ⁴⁵ Then he opened their minds, so they could understand the Scriptures. ⁴⁶ And he said to them, "Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and rise again from the dead the third day, ⁴⁷ and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

⁷ The word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.

³² Now the passage of Scripture which he was reading was this: "He was led as a sheep to slaughter; and as a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he does not open his mouth. ³³ In his humiliation justice was denied him. Who can describe his generation? For his life is taken up from the earth." ³⁴ And the eunuch said to Philip, "Please tell me, of whom does the prophet say this, about himself or about someone else?" ³⁵ Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this scripture he told him the good news of Jesus.

⁴³ Of him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."

⁴⁶ Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, "It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first. Since you reject it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles. ⁴⁷ For so the Lord has commanded us: 'I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.'"

¹⁷ rescuing you from the Jewish people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you, ¹⁸ to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.'

²² To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen: ²³ that the Christ must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to the people and to the Gentiles."

² which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures,

⁵ Through him we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations,

²⁰ For since the creation of the world his invisible nature, even his eternal power and deity, has been clearly seen, being understood by the things that have been made. So they are without excuse;

²¹ But now the righteousness of God has been revealed apart from law, although the law and the prophets bear witness to it,

⁴ For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through perseverance and the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.

¹⁸ For I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to win obedience from the Gentiles, by word and deed

⁸ And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, "In you will all the nations be blessed."

²⁰ having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,

²⁶ the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints.

¹⁷ Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

¹⁰ but has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

² in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago, ³ and at the proper time manifested in his word through the preaching with which I have been entrusted by the command of God our Savior,

¹⁴ how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

⁸ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

⁸ "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." ⁹ I, John, your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. ¹⁰ I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet, ¹¹ saying, "Write in a book what you see, and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea."

¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last,

¹⁰ Then I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, "You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

³³ Oh, the depth of the riches and of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and his ways past finding out! ³⁴ "For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?"

³⁶ For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.

⁴ who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, ⁵ to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

⁷ In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace ⁸ which he lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight

¹⁰ so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.

²⁰ To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

² that their hearts may be encouraged as they are knit together in love, to have all the riches of assured understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ himself, ³ in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

¹⁶ who alone has immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.

¹⁸ The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

¹⁵ Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.

²¹ equip you with every good thing to do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

⁵ you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

¹⁰ And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, establish, and strengthen you. ¹¹ To him be the dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

¹⁸ But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

²⁵ to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, ⁶ and has made us a kingdom and priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

⁹ And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne, who lives for ever and ever, ¹⁰ the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever; they cast their crowns before the throne, saying, ¹¹ "You are worthy, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created."

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals; for you were slain, and with your blood purchased men for God from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. ¹⁰ You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth." ¹¹ Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, ¹² saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!" ¹³ And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying, "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!" ¹⁴ And the four living creatures said, "Amen!" And the elders fell down and worshipped.

¹⁰ and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb." ¹¹ And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshipped God, ¹² saying, "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God for ever and ever! Amen."

¹ After this I heard what sounded like the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying, "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, ² for his judgments are true and just; he has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and he has avenged on her the blood of his servants." ³ And again they shouted, "Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up for ever and ever." ⁴ And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshipped God who is seated on the throne, saying, "Amen. Hallelujah!" ⁵ And a voice came from the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, both small and great." ⁶ Then I heard what sounded like the voice of a great multitude, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying, "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.
