⁴ and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.

³¹ Then he took the twelve aside and said to them, "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written of the Son of Man by the prophets will be accomplished. ³² For he will be delivered to the Gentiles, and will be mocked and insulted and spit upon. ³³ They will scourge him and kill him, and on the third day he will rise again."

²⁶ Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and enter his glory?" ²⁷ And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he explained to them the things concerning himself in all the scriptures.

¹⁸ Then the Jews said to him, "What sign do you show to us, since you do this?" ¹⁹ Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." ²⁰ The Jews then said, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?" ²¹ But he was speaking of the temple of his body.

²⁴ But God raised him up, having loosed the agony of death, because it was impossible for him to be held in its power.

³² This Jesus God raised up again, and of that we are all witnesses.

¹⁵ but killed the Author of life, whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses.

¹⁰ be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by him this man stands before you healed. ¹¹ He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which has become the chief cornerstone. ¹² And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

³⁰ The God of our fathers raised Jesuswhom you had killed by hanging him on a tree. ³¹ God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior, to give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel. ³² We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him."

³³ he has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising up Jesus. As it is also written in the second Psalm: 'You are my Son; today I have begotten you.' ³⁴ As for the fact that he raised him from the dead, no more to return to decay, he spoke in this way: 'I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.' ³⁵ Therefore he also says in another Psalm, 'You will not let your Holy One see decay.'

³¹ because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and of this he has given proof to all men by raising him from the dead."

³ concerning his Son, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh,

⁴ For he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God for you.

¹⁹ and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power in us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of his might ²⁰ which he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. ²² And he put all things under his feet and gave him to be the head over all things for the church, ²³ which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

⁵ So also Christ did not exalt himself to become a high priest, but it was he who said to him, "You are my son, today I have begotten you"; ⁶ as he says also in another place, "You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek."

¹⁴ how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

¹¹ seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.

²¹ for no prophecy was ever made by the act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

¹⁸ and the Living One; I was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore! And I have the keys of death and Hades.

¹⁰ Then I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, "You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
