³ And God sayde: let there be light, & there was light.

³⁰ and cause his light to shyne vpo them, and to couer the botome of the see.

¹⁹ the shewe me where light dwelleth, and where darcknes is:

⁶ By the worde of the LORDE were the heauens made, & all the hoostes of them by ye breth of his mouth.

⁹ For loke what he sayeth, it is done: and loke what he comaudeth, it stondeth fast.

¹¹ There is spronge vp a light for the rightuous, and a ioyfull gladnesse for soch as be true herted.

² Thou deckest thy self with light, as it were wt a garment, thou spredest out the heauen like a curtayne.

²⁷ God is the LORDE, & hath shewed vs light: O garnish the solempne feast with grene braunches, eue vnto the hornes of ye aulter.

⁵ Let them prayse the name of the LORDE, for he comaunded, & they were made.

⁷ It is I yt created the light and darcknes, I make peace and trouble: Yee euen I the LORDE do all these thinges.

¹⁹ The Sonne shal neuer by thy daye light, ad the light of the Moone shal neuer shyne vnto the: but ye LORDE himself shalbe thy euerlastinge light, & thy God shalbe thy glory.

³ And Iesus put forth hys honde, & touched him, sayinge: I wyl, be thou cleane: & immediatly his leprosie was clensed?

⁵ and the light shyneth in the darknesse, and the darknesse comprehended it not.

⁹ That was the true light, which lighteth all men, that come in to this worlde.

¹⁹ But this is ye codempnacion, that the light is come in to the worlde, and men loued the darknesse more the ye light: for their workes were euell.

⁴³ Whan he had sayde this, he cryed loude: Lazarus come forth.

⁶ For God that comaunded the light to shyne out of darcknesse, hath geuen a cleare shyne in oure hertes, yt by vs ye light of ye knowlege of the glory of God mighte come forth, in the face of Iesus Christ.

⁸ For sometyme ye were darknesse, but now are ye lighte in the LORDE. Walke as the children of lighte.

¹⁴ Therfore sayeth he: Awake thou that slepest, and stonde vp fro the deed, and Christ shal geue the lighte.

¹⁶ which onely hath immortalite, and dwelleth in a lighte, that no man can attayne: whom no man hath sene, nether can se. Vnto whom be honoure and empyre euerlastinge, Amen.

⁵ And this is the tydinges which we haue herde of him, & declare vnto you, that God is lighte, and in him is no darknes at all.

⁸ The olde comaundement is the worde, which ye haue herde from the begynnynge. Agayne, a new comaundemet wryte I vnto you, a thinge that is true in him & also in you: for the darknesse is past, and the true lighte now shyneth.
