²⁵ For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.

¹ {A Psalm of David.} Jehovah is my shepherd; I shall not want. ² He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside still waters. ³ He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in paths of righteousness for his name`s sake.

¹ {To the chief Musician. On Shoshannim-Eduth. Of Asaph. A Psalm.} Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that sittest [between] the cherubim, shine forth.

¹⁷⁶ I have gone astray like a lost sheep: seek thy servant; for I have not forgotten thy commandments.

⁷ Tell me, thou whom my soul loveth, Where thou feedest [thy flock], Where thou makest it to rest at noon; For why should I be as one veiled Beside the flocks of thy companions? ⁸ If thou know not, thou fairest among women, Go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, And feed thy kids beside the shepherds` booths.

¹¹ He will feed his flock like a shepherd: he will gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom; he will gently lead those that give suck.

⁶ All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath laid upon him the iniquity of us all.

² Therefore thus saith Jehovah the God of Israel concerning the shepherds that feed my people: Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith Jehovah.

⁶ My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill, and my sheep have been scattered upon all the face of the earth, and there was none that searched, or that sought for them.

¹¹ For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold I, [even] I, will both search for my sheep, and tend them. ¹² As a shepherd tendeth his flock in the day that he is among his scattered sheep, so will I tend my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places whither they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. ¹³ And I will bring them out from the peoples, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land; and I will feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the water-courses, and in all the habitable places of the country. ¹⁴ I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie down in a good fold, and in a fat pasture they shall feed upon the mountains of Israel. ¹⁵ I will myself feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord Jehovah. ¹⁶ I will seek the lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up the broken, and will strengthen that which was sick; but I will destroy the fat and the strong: I will feed them with judgment.

²³ And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David: he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. ²⁴ And I Jehovah will be their God, and my servant David a prince in their midst: I Jehovah have spoken [it].

²⁴ And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: and they shall walk in mine ordinances, and keep my statutes, and do them.

⁷ Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, even against the man [that is] my fellow, saith Jehovah of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered, and I will turn my hand upon the little ones.

³⁶ But when he saw the crowds he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed, and cast away as sheep not having a shepherd.

¹² What think ye? If a certain man should have a hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, does he not, leaving the ninety and nine on the mountains, go and seek the one that has gone astray?

⁴ What man of you having a hundred sheep, and having lost one of them, does not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness and go after that which is lost, until he find it? ⁵ and having found it, he lays it upon his own shoulders, rejoicing; ⁶ and being come to the house, calls together the friends and the neighbours, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my lost sheep.

¹¹ I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep: ¹² but he who serves for wages, and who is not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf seizes them and scatters the sheep. ¹³ Now he who serves for wages flees because he serves for wages, and is not himself concerned about the sheep. ¹⁴ I am the good shepherd; and I know those that are mine, and am known of those that are mine, ¹⁵ as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. ¹⁶ And I have other sheep which are not of this fold: those also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one flock, one shepherd.

²⁸ Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to all the flock, wherein the Holy Spirit has set you as overseers, to shepherd the assembly of God, which he has purchased with the blood of his own.

¹ Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of [the] heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus,

²⁰ But the God of peace, who brought again from among [the] dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, in [the power of the] blood of [the] eternal covenant,

⁴ And when the chief shepherd is manifested ye shall receive the unfading crown of glory.
