¹⁵ And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites, because the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice to Jehovah thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.

¹² And Man said, The woman, whom thou hast given [to be] with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate. ¹³ And Jehovah Elohim said to the woman, What is this thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent deceived me, and I ate.

²² And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord burn! thou knowest the people, that they are [set] on mischief. ²³ And they said to me, Make us a god, who will go before us; for this Moses, the man that has brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what is become of him!

⁹ And Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep and oxen, and beasts of the second bearing, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not devote them to destruction; but everything that was mean and weak, that they destroyed utterly.

²¹ But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the choicest of the devoted things, to sacrifice to Jehovah thy God in Gilgal.

³³ If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom,
