⁹ Debate thy cause with thy neighbour, but reveal not the secret of another;

²⁴ He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, but he layeth up deceit within him:

⁴ Fury is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before jealousy? ⁵ Open rebuke is better than hidden love. ⁶ Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are profuse.

⁹ Be not hasty in thy spirit to be vexed; for vexation resteth in the bosom of fools.

¹⁵ But if thy brother sin against thee, go, reprove him between thee and him alone. If he hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

²⁶ Be angry, and do not sin; let not the sun set upon your wrath,

³¹ Let all bitterness, and heat of passion, and wrath, and clamour, and injurious language, be removed from you, with all malice;

⁹ He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in the darkness until now.

¹¹ But he that hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and knows not where he goes, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

¹⁵ Every one that hates his brother is a murderer, and ye know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
