¹ Paul and Silvanus and Timotheus to the assembly of Thessalonians in God our Father and [the] Lord Jesus Christ. ² Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and [the] Lord Jesus Christ. ³ We ought to thank God always for you, brethren, even as it is meet, because your faith increases exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all towards one another abounds; ⁴ so that we ourselves make our boast in you in the assemblies of God for your endurance and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations, which ye are sustaining; ⁵ a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, to the end that ye should be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for the sake of which ye also suffer; ⁶ if at least [it is a] righteous thing with God to render tribulation to those that trouble you, ⁷ and to you that are troubled repose with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with [the] angels of his power, ⁸ in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who know not God, and those who do not obey the glad tidings of our Lord Jesus Christ; ⁹ who shall pay the penalty [of] everlasting destruction from [the] presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his might, ¹⁰ when he shall have come to be glorified in his saints, and wondered at in all that have believed, (for our testimony to you has been believed,) in that day. ¹¹ To which end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of the calling, and fulfil all [the] good pleasure of [his] goodness and [the] work of faith with power, ¹² so that the name of our Lord Jesus [Christ] may be glorified in you and *ye* in him, according to the grace of our God, and of [the] Lord Jesus Christ.

¹¹ And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire to the heart of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and obscurity.

³⁰ In thy tribulation, and when all these things shall come upon thee, at the end of days, thou shalt return to Jehovah thy God, and shalt hearken to his voice,

⁵ (I stood between Jehovah and you at that time, to declare to you the word of Jehovah; for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up to the mountain), saying,

³⁵ Vengeance is mine, and recompense, For the time when their foot shall slip. For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things that shall come upon them make haste.

⁴¹ If I have sharpened my gleaming sword, And my hand take hold of judgment, I will render vengeance to mine adversaries, And will recompense them that hate me.

³ Doth ?God pervert judgment, and the Almighty pervert justice?

⁹ But the righteous shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall increase in strength.

¹⁴ And they say unto ?God, Depart from us, for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways!

¹⁷ Who said unto ?God, Depart from us! and what could the Almighty do to them?

⁹ Thou shalt break them with a sceptre of iron, as a potter`s vessel thou shalt dash them in pieces. ¹⁰ And now, O kings, be ye wise, be admonished, ye judges of the earth. ¹¹ Serve Jehovah with fear, and rejoice with trembling. ¹² Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, though his anger burn but a little. Blessed are all who have their trust in him.

⁷ But Jehovah sitteth for ever; he hath ordained his throne for judgment. ⁸ And it is he that will judge the world with righteousness; he shall execute judgment upon the peoples with equity.

¹⁰ And they that know thy name will confide in thee; for thou, Jehovah, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

¹¹ Thou wilt make known to me the path of life: thy countenance is fulness of joy; at thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.

⁴⁴ At the hearing of the ear, they obey me: strangers come cringing unto me.

⁸ Thy hand shall find out all thine enemies; thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee. ⁹ Thou shalt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thy presence; Jehovah shall swallow them up in his anger, and the fire shall devour them:

⁵ He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the loving-kindness of Jehovah.

¹⁴ For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide until death.

² Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined forth. ³ Our God will come, and will not keep silence: fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him. ⁴ He will call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people: ⁵ Gather unto me my godly ones, those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice! ⁶ And the heavens shall declare his righteousness; for God executeth judgment himself. ¹¹ Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not the spirit of thy holiness from me.

¹⁸ Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion; build the walls of Jerusalem.

²⁰ Our ?God is the ?God of salvation; and with Jehovah, the Lord, are the goings forth [even] from death.

³⁵ Terrible art thou, O God, out of thy sanctuaries, -- the ?God of Israel! He it is that giveth strength and might unto the people. Blessed be God!

² He will judge thy people with righteousness, and thine afflicted with judgment.

¹⁷ His name shall endure for ever; his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and [men] shall bless themselves in him; all nations shall call him blessed.

²² Rise up, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee all the day; ²³ Forget not the voice of thine adversaries: the tumult of those that rise up against thee ascendeth continually.

⁶ Pour out thy fury upon the nations that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that call not upon thy name:

¹⁰ Wherefore should the nations say, Where is their God? Let the avenging of the blood of thy servants that is shed be known among the nations in our sight. ¹¹ Let the groaning of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thine arm, preserve those that are appointed to die; ¹² And render unto our neighbours, sevenfold into their bosom, their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord.

⁷ They go from strength to strength: [each one] will appear before God in Zion.

⁷ ?God is greatly to be feared in the council of the saints, and terrible for all that are round about him.

¹³ Those that are planted in the house of Jehovah shall flourish in the courts of our God:

¹ O ?God of vengeances, Jehovah, ?God of vengeances, shine forth;

²⁰ Shall the throne of wickedness be united to thee, which frameth mischief into a law? ²¹ They band together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood. ²² But Jehovah will be my high tower; and my God the rock of my refuge. ²³ And he will bring upon them their iniquity, and will cut them off in their own evil: Jehovah our God will cut them off.

⁴ And the strength of the king that loveth justice. *Thou* hast established equity: it is thou that executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

⁷ The works of his hands are truth and judgment; all his precepts are faithful:

⁸ Jehovah will perfect what concerneth me: thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, [endureth] for ever; forsake not the works of thine own hands.

¹⁸ But the path of the righteous is as the shining light, going on and brightening until the day be fully come.

¹⁹ If ye be willing and hearken, ye shall eat the good of the land;

¹⁰ Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, from before the terror of Jehovah, and from the glory of his majesty.

¹⁹ And they shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of Jehovah, and from the glory of his majesty, when he shall arise to terrify the earth.

⁹ And it shall be said in that day, Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is Jehovah, we have waited for him; we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

¹¹ When its branches are withered they shall be broken off; women shall come [and] set them on fire. For it is a people of no intelligence; therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he who formed them will shew them no favour.

¹⁴ The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling hath surprised the hypocrites: Who among us shall dwell with the consuming fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting flames?

²⁹ He giveth power to the faint; and to him that hath no might he increaseth strength. ³⁰ Even the youths shall faint and shall tire, and the young men shall stumble and fall; ³¹ but they that wait upon Jehovah shall renew [their] strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not tire; they shall walk, and not faint.

²¹ This people have I formed for myself: they shall shew forth my praise.

²³ Sing, ye heavens; for Jehovah hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth; break forth into singing, ye mountains, the forest, and every tree therein! For Jehovah hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.

¹⁷ Israel shall be saved by Jehovah with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded, unto the ages of ages.

²⁵ In Jehovah shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

³ And he said unto me, Thou art my servant, Israel, in whom I will glorify myself.

²⁶ And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with new wine. And all flesh shall know that I, Jehovah, [am] thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

² He entereth into peace: they rest in their beds, [each one] that hath walked in his uprightness.

²¹ Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall possess the land for ever -- the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

⁴ For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed had come. ⁵ And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: and mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me. ⁶ And I have trodden down the peoples in mine anger, and made them drunk in my fury; and their blood have I brought down to the earth.

⁵ Hear the word of Jehovah, ye that tremble at his word: Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name`s sake, said, Let Jehovah be glorified, and let us see your joy! but they shall be ashamed.

⁹ Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith Jehovah; I who cause to bring forth, shall I shut [the womb]? saith thy God.

²⁴ And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorrence unto all flesh.

⁶ Thy habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith Jehovah.

²⁴ but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I [am] Jehovah, who exercise loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth; for in these things I delight, saith Jehovah.

⁹ And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and a glory before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear of all the good that I do unto them; and they shall fear and tremble for all the good and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.

¹⁷ If it be [so], our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver [us] out of thy hand, O king.

³⁷ Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of the heavens, all whose works are truth, and his paths judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

¹⁰ A stream of fire issued and came forth from before him; thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

² And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame, to everlasting contempt.

³ and we shall know, -- we shall follow on to know Jehovah: his going forth is assured as the morning dawn; and he will come unto us as the rain, as the latter rain which watereth the earth.

⁶ and them that turn back from after Jehovah, and that do not seek Jehovah, nor inquire for him.

⁸ For thus saith Jehovah of hosts: After the glory, hath he sent me unto the nations that made you a spoil; for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

⁷ Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel [thou dost become] a plain; and he shall bring forth the head-stone with shoutings: Grace, grace unto it!

¹⁷ And they shall be unto me a peculiar treasure, saith Jehovah of hosts, in the day that I prepare; and I will spare them as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

¹⁰ Blessed they who are persecuted on account of righteousness, for *theirs* is the kingdom of the heavens. ¹¹ Blessed are ye when they may reproach and persecute you, and say every wicked thing against you, lying, for my sake. ¹² Rejoice and exult, for your reward is great in the heavens; for thus have they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

²² Many shall say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied through *thy* name, and through *thy* name cast out demons, and through *thy* name done many works of power? ²³ and then will I avow unto them, I never knew you. Depart from me, workers of lawlessness.

³⁹ and the enemy who has sowed it is the devil; and the harvest is [the] completion of [the] age, and the harvestmen are angels. ⁴⁰ As then the darnel is gathered and is burned in the fire, thus it shall be in the completion of the age. ⁴¹ The Son of man shall send his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all offences, and those that practise lawlessness; ⁴² and they shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth. ⁴³ Then the righteous shall shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He that has ears, let him hear.

²⁷ For the Son of man is about to come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will render to each according to his doings.

¹³ Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

³⁰ And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the land lament, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

³⁶ But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of the heavens, but [my] Father alone.

⁴¹ Then shall he say also to those on the left, Go from me, cursed, into eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

²⁴ The Son of man goes indeed, according as it is written concerning him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is delivered up; it were good for that man if he had not been born.

⁶⁴ Jesus says to him, *Thou* hast said. Moreover, I say to you, From henceforth ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.

⁶² And Jesus said, *I* am, and ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.

³² Fear not, little flock, for it has been the good pleasure of your Father to give you the kingdom.

⁵¹ And he says to him, Verily, verily, I say to you, Henceforth ye shall see the heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of man.

⁴⁶ And Paul and Barnabas spoke boldly and said, It was necessary that the word of God should be first spoken to you; but, since ye thrust it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, lo, we turn to the nations;

²² establishing the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to abide in the faith, and that through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God.

⁵ by whom we have received grace and apostleship in behalf of his name, for obedience of faith among all the nations,

⁷ to all that are in Rome, beloved of God, called saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and [our] Lord Jesus Christ. ⁸ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is proclaimed in the whole world. ⁹ For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the glad tidings of his Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you,

²⁸ And according as they did not think good to have God in [their] knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind to practise unseemly things;

⁵ but, according to thy hardness and impenitent heart, treasurest up to thyself wrath, in [the] day of wrath and revelation of [the] righteous judgment of God,

⁷ to them who, in patient continuance of good works, seek for glory and honour and incorruptibility, life eternal.

²³ and that he might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which he had before prepared for glory, ²⁴ us, whom he has also called, not only from amongst [the] Jews, but also from amongst [the] nations?

¹⁶ But they have not all obeyed the glad tidings. For Esaias says, Lord, who has believed our report?

¹² As regards hope, rejoicing: as regards tribulation, enduring: as regards prayer, persevering:

¹⁸ For I will not dare to speak anything of the things which Christ has not wrought by me, for [the] obedience of [the] nations, by word and deed,

²⁶ but [which] has now been made manifest, and by prophetic scriptures, according to commandment of the eternal God, made known for obedience of faith to all the nations --

³ Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and [the] Lord Jesus Christ. ⁴ I thank my God always about you, in respect of the grace of God given to you in Christ Jesus;

⁶ (according as the testimony of the Christ has been confirmed in you,)

⁸ who shall also confirm you to [the] end, unimpeachable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹³ the work of each shall be made manifest; for the day shall declare [it], because it is revealed in fire; and the fire shall try the work of each what it is.

¹⁷ However, as the Lord has divided to each, as God has called each, so let him walk; and thus I ordain in all the assemblies.

⁹ For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that for your sakes he, being rich, became poor, in order that *ye* by *his* poverty might be enriched.
