²² Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and supplicate the Lord, if indeed the thought of thy heart may be forgiven thee;

²⁹ And from thence ye shall seek Jehovah thy God, and thou shalt find him, if thou shalt seek him with thy whole heart and with thy whole soul. ³⁰ In thy tribulation, and when all these things shall come upon thee, at the end of days, thou shalt return to Jehovah thy God, and shalt hearken to his voice,

⁴⁷ and if they shall take it to heart in the land whither they were carried captive, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captive, saying, We have sinned, and have done iniquity, we have dealt perversely; ⁴⁸ and if they return unto thee with all their heart and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies who led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city that thou hast chosen, and the house that I have built unto thy name;

¹² And when he was in affliction, he besought Jehovah his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, ¹³ and prayed to him. And he was intreated of him and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that Jehovah, he was God.

⁶ Seek ye Jehovah while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near. ⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

²⁷ Therefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity.

¹³ and rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto Jehovah your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great loving-kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. ¹⁴ Who knoweth? He might return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him, an oblation and a drink-offering for Jehovah your God?

⁶ Seek Jehovah, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour [it], and there be none to quench [it] in Bethel.

¹⁵ Hate evil, and love good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that Jehovah, the God of hosts, will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

⁶ And the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, sleeper? arise, call upon thy God; perhaps God will think upon us, that we perish not.

⁹ Who knoweth but that God will turn and repent, and will turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?

⁷ Ask, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and ye shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you. ⁸ For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.

⁹ And *I* say to you, Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. ¹⁰ For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it will be opened. ¹¹ But of whom of you that is a father shall a son ask bread, and [the father] shall give him a stone? or also a fish, and instead of a fish shall give him a serpent? ¹² or if also he shall ask an egg, shall give him a scorpion? ¹³ If therefore *ye*, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much rather shall the Father who is of heaven give [the] Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

³⁸ And Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptised, each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, for remission of sins, and ye will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁹ Repent therefore and be converted, for the blotting out of your sins, so that times of refreshing may come from [the] presence of the Lord,

²⁰ And Peter said to him, Thy money go with thee to destruction, because thou hast thought that the gift of God can be obtained by money.

¹¹ And the Lord [said] to him, Rise up and go into the street which is called Straight, and seek in the house of Judas one by name Saul, [he is] of Tarsus: for, behold, he is praying,

³⁰ God therefore, having overlooked the times of ignorance, now enjoins men that they shall all everywhere repent,

⁴ or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads thee to repentance?

²⁵ in meekness setting right those who oppose, if God perhaps may sometime give them repentance to acknowledgment of [the] truth, ²⁶ and that they may awake up out of the snare of the devil, [who are] taken by him, for *his* will.

¹² For the word of God [is] living and operative, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and penetrating to [the] division of soul and spirit, both of joints and marrow, and a discerner of the thoughts and intents of [the] heart.

²¹ And I gave her time that she should repent, and she will not repent of her fornication.

¹⁷ Because thou sayest, I am rich, and am grown rich, and have need of nothing, and knowest not that *thou* art the wretched and the miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked; ¹⁸ I counsel thee to buy of me gold purified by fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white garments, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness may not be made manifest; and eye-salve to anoint thine eyes, that thou mayest see.
