³ And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him, whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac.

¹⁹ And God said, Sarah thy wife shall indeed bear thee a son; and thou shalt call his name Isaac; and I will establish my covenant with him, for an everlasting covenant for his seed after him.

⁶ And Sarah said, God has made me laugh: all that hear will laugh with me.

¹² And God said to Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad and because of thy handmaid: [in] all that Sarah hath said to thee hearken to her voice, for in Isaac shall a seed be called to thee.

² And he said, Take now thy son, thine only [son], whom thou lovest, Isaac, and get thee into the land of Moriah, and there offer him up for a burnt-offering on one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

² Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob, and Jacob begat Juda and his brethren;

⁸ And he gave to him [the] covenant of circumcision; and thus he begat Isaac and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac Jacob, and Jacob the twelve patriarchs.

⁷ nor because they are seed of Abraham [are] all children: but, In Isaac shall a seed be called to thee.
