⁷ And Jehovah Elohim formed Man, dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and Man became a living soul.

¹⁹ In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, until thou return to the ground: for out of it wast thou taken. For dust thou art; and unto dust shalt thou return.

²³ Therefore Jehovah Elohim sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken.

²² everything which had in its nostrils the breath of life, of all that was on the dry [land], died.

²² And they fell on their faces, and said, O ?God, the God of the spirits of all flesh! shall *one* man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with the whole assembly?

¹⁶ Let Jehovah, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the assembly,

¹⁹ How much more them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed as the moth!

³ All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of +God is in my nostrils,

⁴ The Spirit of ?God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

⁶ Behold, before ?God I am as thou; I also am formed out of the clay.

³ Know that Jehovah is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; [we are] his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

¹⁴ For himself knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

¹⁴ I will praise thee, for I am fearfully, wonderfully made. Marvellous are thy works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well. ¹⁵ My bones were not hidden from thee when I was made in secret, curiously wrought in the lower parts of the earth.

²⁷ Man`s spirit is the lamp of Jehovah, searching all the inner parts of the belly.

⁷ A time to rend, and a time to sew; A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

²⁰ All go unto one place: all are of the dust, and all return to dust. ²¹ Who knoweth the spirit of the children of men? Doth it go upwards? and the spirit of the beasts, doth it go downwards to the earth?

⁷ and the dust return to the earth as it was, and the spirit return unto God who gave it.

²² Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for what account is to be made of him?

⁸ And now, Jehovah, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

¹ The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel. [Thus] saith Jehovah, who stretcheth out the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him:

²² And having said this, he breathed into [them], and says to them, Receive [the] Holy Spirit:

²⁵ nor is served by men`s hands as needing something, himself giving to all life and breath and all things;

²⁰ Aye, but thou, O man, who art *thou* that answerest again to God? Shall the thing formed say to him that has formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

⁴⁵ Thus also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul; the last Adam a quickening spirit.

⁴⁷ the first man out of [the] earth, made of dust; the second man, out of heaven.

⁷ But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassingness of the power may be of God, and not from us:

¹ For we know that if our earthly tabernacle house be destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

⁹ Moreover we have had the fathers of our flesh as chasteners, and we reverenced [them]; shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live?
