³⁶ And the burden of Jehovah shall ye mention no more; for every man`s own word shall be his burden: for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of Jehovah of hosts, our God.

²⁶ For who is there of all flesh, that has heard the voice of the living God speaking from the midst of the fire, as we, and has lived?

²⁶ And David spoke to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that smites this Philistine, and takes away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?

³⁶ Thy servant smote both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God.

⁴ It may be Jehovah thy God will hear all the words of Rab-shakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master has sent to reproach the living God; and will rebuke the words which Jehovah thy God has heard. Therefore lift up a prayer for the remnant that is left.

³ Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaketh proud things,

⁸ By their own tongue they are made to fall over one another: all that see them shall flee away.

³ What shall be given unto thee, what shall be added unto thee, thou deceitful tongue?

⁹ To execute upon them the judgment written. This honour have all his saints. Hallelujah!

²⁰ He that hath a perverse heart findeth no good; and he that shifteth about with his tongue falleth into evil.

⁸ For Jerusalem stumbleth and Judah falleth, because their tongue and their doings are against Jehovah, to provoke the eyes of his glory.

¹³ And the word of Jehovah was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little: that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. ¹⁴ Therefore hear the word of Jehovah, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.

²² Now therefore be ye not scorners, lest your bonds be made strong; for I have heard from the Lord Jehovah of hosts a consumption, and [one] determined, upon the whole land.

¹⁰ But Jehovah Elohim is truth; he is the living God, and the King of eternity. At his wrath the earth trembleth, and the nations cannot abide his indignation.

³⁶ But I say unto you, that every idle word which men shall say, they shall render an account of it in judgment-day:

²² He says to him, Out of thy mouth will I judge thee, wicked bondman: thou knewest that *I* am a harsh man, taking up what I have not laid down and reaping what I have not sowed.

¹⁵ and saying, Men, why do ye these things? *We* also are men of like passions with you, preaching to you to turn from these vanities to the living God, who made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all things in them;

⁷ which is not another [one]; but there are some that trouble you, and desire to pervert the glad tidings of the Christ. ⁸ But if even *we* or an angel out of heaven announce as glad tidings to you [anything] besides what we have announced as glad tidings to you, let him be accursed. ⁹ As we have said before, now also again I say, If any one announce to you as glad tidings [anything] besides what ye have received, let him be accursed.

⁵ For each shall bear his own burden.

⁹ for they themselves relate concerning us what entering in we had to you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,

¹⁷ These are springs without water, and mists driven by storm, to whom the gloom of darkness is reserved [for ever]. ¹⁸ For [while] speaking great highflown words of vanity, they allure with [the] lusts of [the] flesh, by dissoluteness, those who have just fled those who walk in error,

¹⁶ as also in all [his] epistles, speaking in them of these things; among which some things are hard to be understood, which the untaught and ill-established wrest, as also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.

¹⁵ to execute judgment against all; and to convict all the ungodly of them of all their works of ungodliness, which they have wrought ungodlily, and of all the hard [things] which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. ¹⁶ These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their lusts; and their mouth speaks swelling words, admiring persons for the sake of profit.
