³ And [for] those encamping eastward toward the sun-rising [there shall be] the standard of the camp of Judah according to their hosts; and the prince of the sons of Judah shall be Nahshon the son of Amminadab;

⁸ Judah -- [as to] thee, thy brethren will praise thee; Thy hand will be upon the neck of thine enemies; Thy father`s children will bow down to thee. ⁹ Judah is a young lion; From the prey, my son, thou art gone up. He stoopeth, he layeth himself down as a lion, And as a lioness: who will rouse him up? ¹⁰ The scepter will not depart from Judah, Nor the lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh come, And to him will be the obedience of peoples.

⁷ for Judah, Nahshon the son of Amminadab;

¹² And he that presented his offering the first day was Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah.

¹⁷ and for a sacrifice of peace-offering, two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five yearling lambs. This was the offering of Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

¹⁴ The standard of the camp of the children of Judah set forward first according to their hosts, and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab; ¹⁵ and over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethaneel the son of Zuar; ¹⁶ and over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.
