⁶ Hear, for I will speak excellent things, and the opening of my lips shall be right things.

¹ Howbeit, Job, I pray thee, hear mine utterances, and hearken to all my words. ² Behold now, I have opened my mouth, my tongue speaketh in my palate, ³ My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart, and my lips shall utter knowledge purely.

⁷ The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of Jehovah is sure, making wise the simple; ⁸ The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of Jehovah is pure, enlightening the eyes; ⁹ The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever; the judgments of Jehovah are truth, they are righteous altogether: ¹⁰ They are more precious than gold, yea, than much fine gold; and sweeter than honey and the dropping of the honeycomb. ¹¹ Moreover, by them is thy servant enlightened; in keeping them there is great reward.

³ My mouth shall speak wisdom, and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding:

⁶ For Jehovah giveth wisdom; out of his mouth [come] knowledge and understanding. ⁷ He layeth up sound wisdom for the upright; [he] is a shield to them that walk in integrity;

² for I give you good doctrine: forsake ye not my law.

²⁰ My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. ²¹ Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thy heart. ²² For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

²⁰ Have not I written to thee excellent things, in counsels and knowledge, ²¹ that I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest carry back words of truth to them that send thee?

¹⁶ and my reins shall exult, when thy lips speak right things.

² and, having opened his mouth, he taught them, saying, ³ Blessed [are] the poor in spirit, for *theirs* is the kingdom of the heavens. ⁴ Blessed they that mourn, for *they* shall be comforted. ⁵ Blessed the meek, for *they* shall inherit the earth. ⁶ Blessed they who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for *they* shall be filled. ⁷ Blessed the merciful, for *they* shall find mercy. ⁸ Blessed the pure in heart, for *they* shall see God. ⁹ Blessed the peace-makers, for *they* shall be called sons of God. ¹⁰ Blessed they who are persecuted on account of righteousness, for *theirs* is the kingdom of the heavens. ¹¹ Blessed are ye when they may reproach and persecute you, and say every wicked thing against you, lying, for my sake. ¹² Rejoice and exult, for your reward is great in the heavens; for thus have they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

²⁸ And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were astonished at his doctrine, ²⁹ for he taught them as having authority, and not as their scribes.

³⁵ so that that should be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from [the] world`s foundation.

⁶ But we speak wisdom among the perfect; but wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who come to nought. ⁷ But we speak God`s wisdom in [a] mystery, that hidden [wisdom] which God had predetermined before the ages for our glory:

²⁶ the mystery which [has been] hidden from ages and from generations, but has now been made manifest to his saints;
