³ And he went into all the country about the Jordan, preaching a dipping of reformation into a forgiveness of sins;

⁵ Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all the Judea, and all the country about of the Jordan; ⁶ and were dipped into the Jordan by him, confessing the sins of them.
