²¹ I have not written to you as to them that know not the truth, but as to them that know it: and that no lie is of the truth.

⁵ A wise man shall hear, and shall be wiser: and he that understandeth shall possess governments.

⁸ Rebuke not a scorner, lest he hate thee. Rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. ⁹ Give an occasion to a wise man, and wisdom shall be added to him. Teach a just man, and he shall make haste to receive it.

¹⁴ And I myself also, my brethren, am assured of you that you also are full of love, replenished with all knowledge, so that you are able to admonish one another. ¹⁵ But I have written to you, brethren, more boldly in some sort, as it were putting you in mind, because of the grace which is given me from God,

¹² For which cause, I will begin to put you always in remembrance of these things: though indeed you know them and are confirmed in the present truth.

⁵ I will therefore admonish you, though ye once knew all things, that Jesus, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, did afterwards destroy them that believed not.
