¹⁴ We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not abideth in death.

³ To the saints, who are in his land, he hath made wonderful all my desires in them.

¹⁶ A man that shall wander out of the way of doctrine, shall abide in the company of the giants.

⁴⁰ And the king answering shall say to them: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it to one of these my least brethren, you did it to me.

²⁴ Because this my son was dead and is come to life again, was lost and is found. And they began to be merry.

³² But it was fit that we should make merry and be glad: for this thy brother was dead and is come to life again; he was lost, and is found.

²⁴ Amen, amen, I say unto you that he who heareth my word and believeth him that sent me hath life everlasting: and cometh not into judgment, but is passed from death to life.

³⁵ By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another.

¹² This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you.

¹⁷ These things I command you, that you love one another.

¹ For we know, if our earthly house of this habitation be dissolved, that we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in heaven.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is, charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity, goodness, longanimity,

¹⁵ Wherefore, I also, hearing of your faith that is in the Lord Jesus and of your love towards all the saints,

¹ And you, when you were dead in your offences and sins,

⁵ Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together in Christ (by whose grace you are saved)

⁴ Hearing your faith in Christ Jesus and the love which you have towards all the saints.

⁹ But as touching the charity of brotherhood, we have no need to write to you: for yourselves have learned of God to love one another.

¹⁰ For God is not unjust, that he should forget your work and the love which you have shewn in his name, you who have ministered and do minister to the saints. ¹¹ And we desire that every one of you shew forth the same carefulness to the accomplishing of hope unto the end:

¹ Let the charity of the brotherhood abide in you.

²² Purifying your souls in the obedience of charity, with a brotherly love, from a sincere heart love one another earnestly:

⁸ And in fine, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, being lovers of the brotherhood, merciful, modest, humble:

⁷ And in godliness, love of brotherhood: and in love of brotherhood, charity.

³ And by this we know that we have known him, if we keep his commandments.

⁹ He that saith he is in the light and hateth his brother is in darkness even until now. ¹⁰ He that loveth his brother abideth in the light: and there is no scandal in him. ¹¹ But he that hateth his brother is in darkness and walketh in darkness and knoweth not whither he goeth: because the darkness hath blinded his eyes.

²³ And this is his commandment: That we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as he hath given commandment unto us.

⁷ Dearly beloved, let us love one another: for charity is of God. And every one that loveth is born of God and knoweth God. ⁸ He that loveth not knoweth not God: for God is charity.

¹² No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abideth in us: and his charity is perfected in us.

²⁰ If any man say: I love God, and hateth his brother; he is a liar. For he that loveth not his brother whom he seeth, how can he love God whom he seeth not? ²¹ And this commandment we have from God, that he who loveth God love also his brother.

² In this we know that we love the children of God: when we love God and keep his commandments.

¹³ These things I write to you that you may know that you have eternal life: you who believe in the name of the Son of God.

¹⁹ We know that we are of God and the whole world is seated in wickedness. ²⁰ And we know that the Son of God is come. And he hath given us understanding that we may know the true God and may be in his true Son. This is the true God and life eternal.
