²¹ Him, who knew no sin, he hath made sin for us: that we might be made the justice of God in him. Sin for us... That is, to be a sin offering, a victim for sin.

^{24 (45:25)} Therefore shall he say: In the Lord are my justices and empire: they shall come to him, and all that resist him shall be confounded. ^{25 (45:26)} In the Lord shall all the seed of Israel be justified and praised.

⁴ Surely he hath borne our infirmities and carried our sorrows: and we have thought him as it were a leper, and as one struck by God and afflicted. ⁵ But he was wounded for our iniquities, he was bruised for our sins: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and by his bruises we are healed. ⁶ All we like sheep have gone astray, every one hath turned aside into his own way: and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

⁹ And he shall give the ungodly for his burial, and the rich for his death: because he hath done no iniquity, neither was there deceit in his mouth. ¹⁰ And the Lord was pleased to bruise him in infirmity: if he shall lay down his life for sin, he shall see a longlived seed, and the will of the Lord shall be prosperous in his hand. ¹¹ Because his soul hath laboured, he shall see and be filled: by his knowledge shall this my just servant justify many, and he shall bear their iniquities. ¹² Therefore will I distribute to him very many, and he shall divide the spoils of the strong, because he hath delivered his soul unto death, and was reputed with the wicked: and he hath borne the sins of many, and hath prayed for the transgressors.

²⁶ How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies, and that prophesy the delusions of their own heart?

¹⁶ In those days shall Juda be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell securely: and this is the name that they shall call him, The Lord our just one.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are shortened upon thy people, and upon thy holy city, that transgression may be finished, and sin may have an end, and iniquity may be abolished; and everlasting justice may be brought; and vision and prophecy may be fulfilled; and the Saint of saints may be anointed.

²⁶ And after sixty-two weeks Christ shall be slain: and the people that shall deny him shall not be his. And a people, with their leader, that shall come, shall destroy the city, and the sanctuary: and the end thereof shall be waste, and after the end of the war the appointed desolation.

⁷ Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that cleaveth to me, saith the Lord of hosts: strike the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn my hand to the little ones.

³⁵ And the angel answering, said to her: The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee and the power of the Most High shall overshadow thee. And therefore also the Holy which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

¹⁴ But you denied the Holy One and the Just: and desired a murderer to be granted unto you.

¹⁷ For the justice of God is revealed therein, from faith unto faith, as it is written: The just man liveth by faith.

²¹ But now, without the law, the justice of God is made manifest, being witnessed by the law and the prophets. ²² Even the justice of God, by faith of Jesus Christ, unto all, and upon all them that believe in him: for there is no distinction. ²³ For all have sinned and do need the glory of God. ²⁴ Being justified freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, ²⁵ Whom God hath proposed to be a propitiation, through faith in his blood, to the shewing of his justice, for the remission of former sins, ²⁶ Through the forbearance of God, for the shewing of his justice in this time: that he himself may be just and the justifier of him who is of the faith of Jesus Christ

²⁵ Who was delivered up for our sins and rose again for our justification.

¹⁹ For as by the disobedience of one man, many were made sinners: so also by the obedience of one, many shall be made just.

¹ There is now therefore no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh. ² For the law of the spirit of life, in Christ Jesus, hath delivered me from the law of sin and of death. ³ For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and of sin, hath condemned sin in the flesh. ⁴ That the justification of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the spirit.

³ For they, not knowing the justice of God and seeking to establish their own, have not submitted themselves to the justice of God. ⁴ For the end of the law is Christ: unto justice to everyone that believeth.

³⁰ But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom and justice and sanctification and redemption:

¹⁷ If then any be in Christ a new creature, the old things are passed away. Behold all things are made new.

¹³ Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us (for it is written: Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree).

² And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us and hath delivered himself for us, an oblation and a sacrifice to God for an odour of sweetness.

⁹ And may be found in him, not having my justice, which is of the law, but that which is of the faith of Christ Jesus, which is of God: justice in faith.

¹⁵ For we have not a high priest who cannot have compassion on our infirmities: but one tempted in all things like as we are, without sin.

²⁶ For it was fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens:

²² Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth. ²³ Who, when he was reviled, did not revile: when he suffered, he threatened not, but delivered himself to him that judged him unjustly. ²⁴ Who his own self bore our sins in his body upon the tree: that we, being dead to sins, should live to justice: by whose stripes you were healed.

¹⁸ Because Christ also died once for our sins, the just for the unjust: that he might offer us to God, being put to death indeed in the flesh, but enlivened in the spirit,

¹ My little children, these things I write to you, that you may not sin. But if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the just. ² And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.

⁵ And you know that he appeared to take away our sins: and in him there is no sin.
