³⁰ I beseech you therefore, brethren, through our Lord Jesus Christ and by the charity of the Holy Ghost, that you help me in your prayers for me to God, ³¹ That I may be delivered from the unbelievers that are in Judea and that the oblation of my service may be acceptable in Jerusalem to the saints.

¹ I desire therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for all men: ² For kings and for all that are in high station: that we may lead a quiet and a peaceable life in all piety and chastity.

⁵ Be you also as living stones built up, a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
