⁴⁰ Him God raised up the third day and gave him to be made manifest,

¹ And in the end of the sabbath, when it began to dawn towards the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalen and the other Mary, to see the sepulchre. ² And behold there was a great earthquake. For an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and coming rolled back the stone and sat upon it.

²⁴ Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the sorrows of hell, as it was impossible that he should be holden by it.

³⁰ But God raised him up from the dead the third day. ³¹ Who was seen for many days by them who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who to this present are his witnesses to the people.

³¹ Because he hath appointed a day wherein he will judge the world in equity, by the man whom he hath appointed: giving faith to all, by raising him up from the dead.

⁴ Who was predestinated the Son of God in power, according to the spirit of sanctification, by the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead:

²⁴ But also for us, to whom it shall be reputed, if we believe in him that raised up Jesus Christ, our Lord, from the dead, ²⁵ Who was delivered up for our sins and rose again for our justification.

⁴ For we are buried together with him by baptism into death: that, as Christ is risen from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also may walk in newness of life. ⁵ For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection. ⁶ Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin may be destroyed, to the end that we may serve sin no longer. ⁷ For he that is dead is justified from sin. ⁸ Now, if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall live also together with Christ. ⁹ Knowing that Christ, rising again from the dead, dieth now no more. Death shall no more have dominion over him. ¹⁰ For in that he died to sin, he died once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. ¹¹ So do you also reckon that you are dead to sin, but alive unto God, in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹¹ And if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you; he that raised up Jesus Christ, from the dead shall quicken also your mortal bodies, because of his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

⁹ For to this end Christ died and rose again: that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.

³ For I delivered unto you first of all, which I also received: how that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures: ⁴ And that he was buried: and that he rose again according to the scriptures:

¹² Now if Christ be preached, that he arose again from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? ¹³ But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen again. ¹⁴ And if Christ be not risen again, then is our preaching vain: and your faith is also vain. ¹⁵ Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God: because we have given testimony against God, that he hath raised up Christ, whom he hath not raised up, if the dead rise not again. ¹⁶ For if the dead rise not again, neither is Christ risen again. ¹⁷ And if Christ be not risen again, your faith is vain: for you are yet in your sins. ¹⁸ Then they also that are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. ¹⁹ If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. ²⁰ But now Christ is risen from the dead, the firstfruits of them that sleep:

¹⁴ Knowing that he who raised up Jesus will raise us up also with Jesus and place us with you.

²⁰ And may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great pastor of the sheep, our Lord Jesus Christ, in the blood of the everlasting testament,

²¹ Who through him are faithful in God who raised him up from the dead and hath given him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God.
