^{11 (14:10)} And when the multitudes had seen what Paul had done, they lifted up their voice in the Lycaonian tongue, saying: The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.

¹⁰ To whom they all gave ear, from the least to the greatest, saying: This man is the power of God, which is called great.

²² And the people made acclamation, saying: It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.

⁶ But they supposed that he would begin to swell up and that he would suddenly fall down and die. But expecting long and seeing that there came no harm to him, changing their minds, they said that he was a god.
