¹⁰ Thy wind blew and the sea covered them: they sunk as lead in the mighty waters.

¹ And God remembered Noe, and all the living creatures, and all the cattle which were with him in the ark, and brought a wind upon the earth, and the waters were abated:

²¹ And when Moses had stretched forth his hand over the sea, the Lord took it away by a strong and burning wind blowing all the night, and turned it into dry ground: and the water was divided.

²⁷ And when Moses had stretched forth his hand towards the sea, it returned at the first break of day to the former place: and as the Egyptians were fleeing away, the waters came upon them, and the Lord shut them up in the middle of the waves. ²⁸ And the waters returned, and covered the chariots and the horsemen of all the army of Pharao, who had come into the sea after them, neither did there so much as one of them remain.

⁵ The depths have covered them, they are sunk to the bottom like a stone.

⁴ And to all the host of the Egyptians, and to their horses and chariots: how the waters of the Red Sea covered them, when they pursued you, and how the Lord destroyed them until this present day:

¹³ Thou by thy strength didst make the sea firm: thou didst crush the heads of the dragons in the waters. ¹⁴ Thou hast broken the heads of the dragon: thou hast given him to be meat for the people of the Ethiopians.

⁷ He bringeth up clouds from the end of the earth: he hath made lightnings for the rain. He bringeth forth winds out of his stores:

¹⁸ He shall send out his word, and shall melt them: his wind shall blow, and the waters shall run.

¹⁵ And the Lord shall lay waste the tongue of the sea of Egypt, and shall lift up his hand over the river in the strength of his spirit: and he shall strike it in the seven streams, so that men may pass through it in their shoes.

¹³ At his voice he giveth a multitude of waters in the heaven, and lifteth up the clouds from the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings for rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

¹³ For behold he that formeth the mountains and createth the wind, and declareth his word to man, he that maketh the morning mist, and walketh upon the high places of the earth: the Lord the God of hosts is his name.

²⁷ But the men wondered, saying: What manner of man is this, for the winds and the sea obey him?
