²³ Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty: with whom (if he come shortly) I will see you.

¹ And he came to Derbe and Lystra. And behold, there was a certain disciple there named Timothy, the son of a Jewish woman that believed: but his father was a Gentile. ² To this man the brethren that were in Lystra and Iconium gave a good testimony. ³ Him Paul would have to go along with him: and taking him, he circumcised him, because of the Jews who were in those places. For they all knew that his father was a Gentile.

²⁵ But now I shall go to Jerusalem, to minister unto the saints.

²⁸ When therefore I shall have accomplished this and consigned to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.

² And we sent Timothy, our brother and the minister of God in the gospel of Christ, to confirm you and exhort you concerning your faith:

¹² Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art called and be it confessed a good confession before many witnesses.

⁸ Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but labour with the gospel, according to the power of God.

²² But withal prepare me also a lodging. For I hope that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.
