¹² So speak ye and so do, as being to be judged by the law of liberty.

⁸ For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever modest, whatsoever just, whatsoever holy, whatsoever lovely, whatsoever of good fame, if there be any virtue, if any praise of discipline: think on these things.

¹⁷ All whatsoever you do in word or in work, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

²⁵ But he that hath looked into the perfect law of liberty and hath continued therein, not becoming a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work: this man shall be blessed in his deed.

⁸ If then you fulfil the royal law, according to the scriptures: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself; you do well.

⁴ By whom he hath given us most great and precious promises: that by these you may be made partakers of the divine nature: flying the corruption of that concupiscence which is in the world. ⁵ And you, employing all care, minister in your faith, virtue: And in virtue, knowledge: ⁶ And in knowledge, abstinence: and in abstinence, patience: and in patience, godliness: ⁷ And in godliness, love of brotherhood: and in love of brotherhood, charity. ⁸ For if these things be with you and abound, they will make you to be neither empty nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
