¹⁹ And he saith to them: Come ye after me, and I will make you to be fishers of men.

⁹ And every living creature that creepeth whithersoever the torrent shall come, shall live: and there shall be fishes in abundance after these waters shall come thither, and they shall be healed, and all things shall live to which the torrent shall come. ¹⁰ And the fishers shall stand over these waters, from Engaddi even to Engallim there shall be drying of nets: there shall be many sorts of the fishes thereof, as the fishes of the great sea, a very great multitude:

²² But Jesus said to him: Follow me, and let the dead bury their dead.

⁹ And when Jesus passed on from thence, he saw a man sitting in the custom house, named Matthew; and he saith to him: Follow me. And he arose up and followed him.

²⁴ Then Jesus said to his disciples: If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

²¹ Jesus saith to him: If thou wilt be perfect, go sell what thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

¹⁷ And Jesus said to them: Come after me; and I will make you to become fishers of men. ¹⁸ And immediately leaving their nets, they followed him.

¹⁴ And when he was passing by, he saw Levi, the son of Alpheus, sitting at the receipt of custom; and he saith to him: Follow me. And rising up, he followed him.

¹⁰ And so were also James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were Simon's partners. And Jesus saith to Simon: Fear not: from henceforth thou shalt catch men. ¹¹ And having brought their ships to land, leaving all things, they followed him.

²⁰ And I became to the Jews a Jew, that I might gain the Jews: To them that are under the law, as if I were under the law, (whereas myself was not under the law,) that I might gain them that were under the law. ²¹ To them that were without the law, as if I were without the law, (whereas I was not without the law of God, but was in the law of Christ,) that I might gain them that were without the law. ²² To the weak I became weak, that I might gain the weak. I became all things to all men, that I might save all.

¹⁶ But be it so: I did not burthen you: but being crafty, I caught you by guile.
