⁹⁴ I am thine, save thou me: for I have sought thy justifications.

⁴ Come up to me, and bring help, that we may take Gabaon, because it hath gone over to Josue, and to the children of Israel. ⁵ So the five kings of the Amorrhites being assembled together, went up: the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jerimoth, the king of Lachis, the king of Eglon, they and their armies, and camped about Gabaon, laying siege to it. ⁶ But the inhabitants of the city of Gabaon, which was besieged, sent to Josue, who then abode in the camp at Galgal, and said to him: Withdraw not thy hands from helping thy servants: come up quickly, and save us, and bring us succour: for all the kings of the Amorrhites, who dwell in the mountains, are gathered together against us.

² Preserve my soul, for I am holy: save thy servant, O my God, that trusteth in thee.

²⁷ Make me to understand the way of thy justifications: and I shall be exercised in thy wondrous works.

⁴⁰ Behold I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy justice.

¹⁷³ Let thy hand be with me to save me; for I have chosen thy precepts.

⁸ But thou Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend: ⁹ In whom I have taken thee from the ends of the earth, and from the remote parts thereof have called thee, and said to thee: Thou art my servant, I have chosen thee, and have not cast thee away. ¹⁰ Fear not, for I am with thee: turn not aside, for I am thy God: I have strengthened thee, and have helped thee, and the right hand of my just one hath upheld thee.

² Thus saith the Lord that made and formed thee, thy helper from the womb: Fear not, O my servant Jacob, and thou most righteous whom I have chosen.

⁵ One shall say: I am the Lord's, and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob, and another shall subscribe with his hand, To the Lord, and surname himself by the name of Israel.

⁸ And now, O Lord, thou art our father, and we are clay: and thou art our maker, and we all are the works of thy hands. ⁹ Be not very angry, O Lord, and remember no longer our iniquity: behold, see we are all thy people. ¹⁰ The city of thy sanctuary is become a desert, Sion is made a desert, Jerusalem is desolate.

¹⁷ The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty, he will save: he will rejoice over thee with gladness, he will be silent in his love, he will be joyful over thee in praise.

²³ For an angel of God, whose I am and whom I serve, stood by me this night, ²⁴ Saying: Fear not, Paul, thou must be brought before Caesar; and behold, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.
