¹ And I saw, in the right hand of him that sat on the throne, a book, written within and without, sealed with seven seals.

¹⁶ Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

¹¹ And the vision of all shall be unto you as the words of a book that is sealed which when they shall deliver to one that is learned, they shall say: Read this: and he shall answer: I cannot, for it is sealed.

¹⁶ Search ye diligently in the book of the Lord, and read: not one of them was wanting, one hath not sought for the other: for that which proceedeth out of my mouth, he hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.

⁹ And I looked, and behold, a hand was sent to me, wherein was a book rolled up: ^{10 (2:9)} And he spread it before me, and it was written within and without: and there were written in it lamentations, and canticles, and woe.

²⁶ And the vision of the evening and the morning, which was told, is true: thou, therefore, seal up the vision, because it shall come to pass after many days.

⁴ But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time appointed: many shall pass over, and knowledge shall be manifold. ⁵ And I, Daniel, looked, and behold as it were two others stood: one on this side upon the bank of the river, and another on that side, on the other bank of the river. ⁶ And I said to the man that was clothed in linen, that stood upon the waters of the river: How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? ⁷ And I heard the man that was clothed in linen, that stood upon the waters of the river, when he had lifted up his right hand, and his left hand to heaven, and had sworn by him that liveth for ever, that it should be unto a time, and times, and half a time. And when the scattering of the band of the holy people shall be accomplished, all these things shall be finished. ⁸ And I heard, and understood not. And I said: O my lord, what shall be after these things? ⁹ And he said: Go, Daniel, because the words are shut up, and sealed until the appointed time.

³ And he that sat was to the sight like the jasper and the sardine stone. And there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

⁷ And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat on the throne.

¹³ And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard all saying: To him that sitteth on the throne and to the Lamb, benediction and honour and glory and power, for ever and ever.

¹ And I saw that the Lamb had opened one of the seven seals: and I heard one of the four living creatures, as it were the voice of thunder, saying: Come and see.

² And he had in his hand a little book, open. And he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot upon the earth.

⁸ And I heard a voice from heaven, again speaking to me and saying: Go and take the book that is open, from the hand of the angel who standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. ⁹ And I went to the angel, saying unto him that he should give me the book. And he said to me: Take the book and eat it up. And it shall make thy belly bitter: but in thy mouth it shall be sweet as honey. ¹⁰ And I took the book from the hand of the angel and ate it up: and it was in my mouth, sweet as honey. And when I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. ¹¹ And he said to me: Thou must prophesy again to many nations and peoples and tongues and kings.
