⁵ For they that are according to the flesh mind the things that are of the flesh: but they that are according to the spirit mind the things that are of the spirit.

³³ Who turning about and seeing his disciples, threatened Peter, saying: Go behind me, Satan, because thou savourest not the things that are of God but that are of men.

⁶ That which is born of the flesh is flesh: and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

⁶ For the wisdom of the flesh is death: but the wisdom of the spirit is life and peace. ⁷ Because the wisdom of the flesh is an enemy to God. For it is not subject to the law of God: neither can it be.

⁹ But you are not in the flesh, but the spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

¹² Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh to live according to the flesh. ¹³ For if you live according to the flesh, you shall die: but if by the Spirit you mortify the deeds of the flesh, you shall live. ¹⁴ For whosoever are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

¹⁴ But the sensual man perceiveth not these things that are of the Spirit of God. For it is foolishness to him: and he cannot understand, because it is spiritually examined.

⁴⁸ Such as is the earthly, such also are the earthly: and such as is the heavenly, such also are they that are heavenly.

³ For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.

¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are manifest: which are fornication, uncleanness, immodesty, luxury, ²⁰ Idolatry, witchcrafts, enmities, contentions, emulations, wraths, quarrels, dissensions, sects, ²¹ Envies, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like. Of the which I foretell you, as I have foretold to you, that they who do such things shall not obtain the kingdom of God. ²² But the fruit of the Spirit is, charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity, goodness, longanimity, ²³ Mildness, faith, modesty, continency, chastity. Against such there is no law. ²⁴ And they that are Christ's have crucified their flesh, with the vices and concupiscences. ²⁵ If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

⁹ For the fruit of the light is in all goodness and justice and truth:

¹⁸ For many walk, of whom I have told you often (and now tell you weeping) that they are enemies of the cross of Christ: ¹⁹ Whose end is destruction: whose God is their belly: and whose glory is in their shame: who mind earthly things.

¹ Therefore if you be risen with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. ² Mind the things that are above, not the things that are upon the earth. ³ For you are dead: and your life is hid with Christ in God.

¹⁰ And especially them who walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise government: audacious, self willed, they fear not to bring in sects, blaspheming.
