⁷ and now, O Yah Veh my Elohim, you have your servant reign in the stead of David my father: and I am a little lad: I know not to go out or come in:

⁸ and at this house, Elyon, every one who passes by desolates and hisses and says, Why works Yah Veh thus to this land and to this house?

DAVID CHARGES THE CONGREGATION TO BUILD THE HOUSE OF YAH VEH ELOHIM
And David the sovereign says to all the congregation, Shelomoh my son, the one Elohim chooses; a lad and tender; and the work is great: for the palace is not for humanity, but for Yah Veh Elohim:

⁵ and the house I build is great: for great is our Elohim above all elohim.

²¹ And this house, being Elyon, all who pass by, desolate and say, Why works Yah Veh thus to this land and to this house?

⁷ And vain men, the sons of Beli Yaal gather to him and strengthen themselves against Rechab Am the son of Shelomoh: and Rechab Am is a lad of tender heart and cannot strengthen himself at their face.

¹² And many of the priests and Leviym and heads of the fathers - elders who had seen the first house when the foundation of this house was laid in front of their eyes, weep with a great voice; and many shout and cheer with lifted voice:

¹⁰ Whatever your hand finds to work, work with your force; for there is no work, or machination, or knowledge, or wisdom in sheol, where you go.

¹¹ our holies of adornment where our fathers halaled you, are burned with fire: and all our desirables are parched.

²⁰ As for the splendor of his ornament, he sets it in pomp: and they work the images of their abhorrences and of their abominations therein: so I give to exclude it from them:

³ Who among you survives - who saw this house in her first honor? And how see you now? Likens it not in your eyes as naught?

⁹ So be the honor of this latter house - greater than the former - an oracle of Yah Veh Sabaoth and in this place I give shalom, says Yah Veh Sabaoth.

And as some word about the priestal precinct - how it is adorned with goodly stones and votives, he says,

³⁰ He must grow; and me to lessen:

³⁷ For herein is that word true, One spores, and another harvests. ³⁸ I apostolize you to harvest whereon you bestow no labour: others labor, and you enter into their labors.

⁴ I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day: the night comes when no one can work.
