² And David the sovereign rises on his feet and says, Hear me, my brothers and my people: I had in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Yah Veh and for the stool of the feet of our Elohim; and prepared to build.

² And someone tells Yaaqov and says, Behold, your son Yoseph comes to you. - and Yisra El strengthens himself and sits on the bed.

¹⁵ - in setting, set him sovereign over you, whom Yah Veh your Elohim chooses: set one from among your brothers sovereign over you: you cannot give a man - a stranger over you, who is not your brother.

²⁰ to not lift his heart above his brothers, and to not turn aside from the misvah - right or left: and to prolong his days in his sovereigndom, - he and his sons, midst Yisra El.

THE HOUSE OF YAH VEH
And so be it, the sovereign settles in his house; and Yah Veh gives him rest all around from all his enemies. ² And the sovereign says to Nathan the prophet, See, I pray you, I settle in a house of cedar, but the ark of Elohim settles within curtains.

⁴⁷ and also, the servants of the sovereign come to bless our adoni sovereign David, saying, Elohim well-prepares the name of Shelomoh better than your name and makes his throne greater than your throne. And the sovereign prostrates himself on the bed:

¹⁷ And it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El. ¹⁸ And Yah Veh says to David my father, Because it is in your heart to build a house to my name, you do good that it is in your heart:

DAVID REIGNS OVER YISRA EL
And all Yisra El gathers to David to Hebron, saying, Behold, your bone and your flesh. ² Also three yesters ago - even when Shaul was sovereign, you led out and brought in Yisra El: and Yah Veh your Elohim said to you, Tend my people Yisra El and be eminent over my people Yisra El! ³ And all the elders of Yisra El come to the sovereign to Hebron: and David cuts a covenant with them in Hebron at the face of Yah Veh: and they anoint David sovereign over Yisra El - according to the word of Yah Veh by the hand of Shemu El.

THE SON OF DAVID IS TO BUILD THE HOUSE OF YAH VEH
And so be it, David settles in his house, and David says to Nathan the prophet, Behold, I settle in a house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of Yah Veh is under curtains. ² And Nathan says to David, Work all that is in your heart; for Elohim is with you.

⁷ And David takes the shields of gold on the servants of Hadar Ezer and brings them to Yeru Shalem: ⁸ and from Tibchath and from Kun, cities of Hadar Ezer, David takes mighty much copper, with which Shelomoh works the copper sea and the pillars and the instruments of copper. ⁹ And Tou sovereign of Hamath hears that David smites all the valiant of Hadar Ezer sovereign of Sobah; ¹⁰ and he sends Hadoram his son to sovereign David to ask shalom of him and to bless him because he fought Hadar Ezer and smote him - for Hadar Ezer was a man of wars with Tou; and all manner of instruments of gold and silver and copper: ¹¹ and sovereign David hallows to Yah Veh, with the silver and the gold he lifts from all the goyim - from Edom and from Moab and from the sons of Ammon and from the Peleshethiy and from Amaleq.

² And David says to gather the sojourners in the land of Yisra El: and he stands hewers to hew hewn stones to build the house of Elohim: ³ and David prepares iron in abundance for nails for the doors of the portals and for the joints; and copper in abundance without weight; ⁴ and cedar trees without number: for the Sidoniy and the Soriy bring an abundance of cedar timber to David. ⁵ And David says, Shelomoh my son is a lad and tender and the house to be built for Yah Veh is to greaten upward - in name and adornment throughout all lands - I now prepare. Thus David prepares in abundance at the face of his death.

¹⁴ And behold, in my humiliation I prepared for the house of Yah Veh a hundred thousand rounds of gold and a thousand thousand rounds of silver; and of copper and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: and I prepared timber and stone; and you add thereto:

²² I scribe your name to my brothers; midst the congregation I halal you.

⁵ Exalt Yah Veh our Elohim; prostrate at the stool of his feet; - he is holy.

³ I neither come into the tent of my house; nor ascend into the bedstead of my beds; ⁴ nor give sleep to my eyes or drowsiness to my eyelids ⁵ until I find a place for Yah Veh - tabernacles for the Almighty of Yaaqov. ⁶ Behold, we heard thereof at Ephrath; we found thereof in the fields of the forest: ⁷ we enter his tabernacles; we prostrate at the stool of his feet. ⁸ Rise, O Yah Veh, into your rest - you and the ark of your strength.

¹⁴ this is my rest eternally; here I settle; for I desire it.

Thus says Yah Veh, The heavens are my throne and the earth, the stool of my feet: where is the house you build to me? and where the place of my rest?

How Adonay overclouds the daughter of Siyon in his wrath; - casts the beauty of Yisra El from the heavens to the earth; and remembers not the stool of his feet in the day of his wrath!

⁴⁹ The heavens are my throne and earth is the stool of my feet! What house build you for me? words Yah Veh: Or what is the place of my shabbath? ^{Yesha Yah 66:1, 2}
