THE BODY OF THE MESSIAH
For exactly as the body is one and has many members; and all the members of that one body being many, are one body; thus also the Messiah.

ONE BODY, MANY MEMBERS
For the body is not one member, but many. ¹⁵ Whenever the foot says, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; so is it not of the body? ¹⁶ And whenever the ear says, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; so is it not of the body? ¹⁷ If the whole body were an eye, where the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where the smelling? ¹⁸ And now Elohim sets the members - each in the body - exactly as he wills. ¹⁹ And if they all were one member, where the body? ²⁰ And now indeed, many members, yet but one body.

²³ For the man is the head of the woman, exactly as the Messiah is the head of the ecclesia; and he is the saviour of the body:

³⁰ for we are members of his body - of his flesh and of his bones.

¹⁸ and he is the head of the body, the ecclesia - the beginning - the firstborn from the dead; so that in all he is the preeminence.

²⁴ who now cheer in my sufferings for you and supplement whatever lacks of the tribulations of the Messiah in my flesh for his body, the ecclesia:
